What happened to Josef Seibel's sizes??? I've always been a solid 39 on Josef's sneakers. My feet are long and narrow, and this was one of the few brands that would fit great. I got the "Claire" on my usual 39 and had to return because they were HUGE. I reordered them on 38 and they are still big. A while back I ordered the "Caren" on 39 and also had to return because of the same issue.

Super cute shoes, but took a bit of breaking in before they got comfortable. The leather is stiff, which is probably why they were not very comfortable when I first got them. But I also feel like these shoes will hold up well, as I have been wearing them a lot and they still look new. Now that they are more broken in, they have become pretty comfortable to wear. That being said, I would not want to wear them if I was going to be walking more than usual.

The styling of this sneaker is EXACTLY what I wanted - a classic tennis shoe with no frills. Unfortunately, the fit was another issue. I wear an 11-11.5 narrow and was hoping I could just tighten the shoe strings to narrow the fit around my feet, but it didn't work. The length was also a bit longer than I would have liked, however, if they weren't so wide, I would have likely kept them. Please make these in a narrow!

I normally wear a 38, bought 38's. These are a wee bit long, but so comfortable that I am choosing to ignore that and keep them. I was looking for a black leather shoe to wear in a trade show booth, so first priority was comfort. I also have bunions so need the shoe to look decent, have enough room in the toe box, and be as flattering as possible on my foot. Ordered 9 pairs of shoes of various styles, these are the ones I'm keeping. Very nice shoe. Great quality leather. I had a couple others that I liked the look of a little better, but the comfort of these and how they fit my unusual foot won out. (This is my 3rd pair of Josef Seibels, the others are sandals. New favorite brand.)

Quality, soft, comfortable leather. I was looking for something cut a bit higher, but it is a great looking shoe. When you put a Seibel shoe on, you can count on it being top notch.

I'm usually a Ladies US10, so am most often 41 in EU sizes. I ordered both 41 and 40 since people said this runs large, and definitely the 40 worked much better for me. I got the white, which is indeed more of a cream/off white which some people have stated, but I thought it was actually much better than bright white (and so did my husband). Note on my pair the tag on the tongue was also cream instead of tan like in the picture (which again I like better; I don't like labels!). I'm going to order another pair to leave at a second home, I like them so much. The other colors look fun too, but I haven't tried them in person.

These look like nice shoes. They are listed as a 5 - 5/12; they are NOT. They are EU36 which is a size 6 in the US.

I broke my foot a year ago and this sneaker, besides my Brooks Glycerin 20 sneakers, are my go to for comfort. I loved them so much, I got 4 colors. The arch support is just right for me and they have plenty of room for my toes. Love this shoe!

These are really sharp looking sneakers. The camel leather is the perfect neutral and they were comfortable right out of the box. So many people have asked me where to get them. I’m definitely buying in another color- they are so versatile and great quality.

Love this brand of shoes! They are quality shoes that are comfortable right out of the box every time. This is my third pair from this company and they didn’t disappoint.

These are both beautiful leather shoes and very comfortable. Just what I was looking for. The footbed offers a more comfortable support which I need. Sizing seems to be different depending on the style of shoe. The 37 was comfortable in this shoe, but I needed a 38 in the Josef Seibel Sienna bootie. Thank you Zappos for free returns.

These shoes are beautifully made. They provide good support. I really wanted to keep them, but they hit my ankle bone just a bit. Since I would be wearing them for long days of travel walking (airports, foreign cities, etc.) I was afraid they'd chafe, so I'm reluctantly sending them back.

Super cute (Orange red ones). A little big but too cute to return. My inserts help with fit.

Just like previous reviews, these shoes did not fit at all. Cute, but poor fit with no arch support and little padding.

Good quality leather and overall appearance of shoe is high end, however the shoes wore on the bottom to the point where you can see where the rubber is starting to go on one heal. Only wore on one trip. Sad that they didn't wear better for the price. This shoe also fit smaller a 1/2 size than my other Seibel shoes.

It took awhile for me to decide on a sneaker. I had decided to buy only shoes that were comfortable and "sensible." My mother would applaud that decision. I wanted the comfort of a sneaker in a shoe that I could wear for work. I found it in this Josef Seibel Claire 01. It looks good with my work attire and feels great. I have two pair, one in white and one in a dark gray. The fit is true to size.

VERY comfortable with good arch support.

Shoe has good arch support. I added a pad under the insole to make the shoe more comfortable (my foot is narrow). Really stylish and comfortable.

I have another similar pair by Josef Seibel & I love them. Cute. Comfy.

I loved this shoe... but ended up going with an Ecco pair instead because I liked the style a tiny bit more. But these are great shoes, and if I could afford to keep both, I would have!

I want to like these shoes but I must be in between sizes - one is rubbing at my ankle and the next size up is slipping at the heel. Undecided about keeping.

True to size. Good quality. They looked like a pair of men shoes.
