I'm an avid road racing marathoner who recently got into trail racing. I tried so many different kinds of trail running shoes but they all felt too stiff or too clunky. I also wanted a shoe without a carbon plate bc it triggers my plantar fasciitis. It was a Goldilocks search and I'm SO happy I finally found the Glide Max TR. So comfy and has great grip on trails too. They feel even more comfy than my road running New Balance 880s. I've run in various conditions in the Glide Max TR and it's been awesome so far. My one tiny, tiny issue is around the inside front ankle area - the fabric is a bit rough so whenever I wore short ankle socks it would chafe a little but I usually wear crew length socks on trail runs anyways so that solves the issue. Love this shoe!

I have smaller feet so having a larger base really helps with balance. I run daily and love these shoes, no sore knees and feel great in them

The new Glide Max TR has become one of my go to shoes since they came out. I have put these shoes to the test on every surface from pavement to moderately technical trails. I am amazed at how versatile these shoes are, but I am missing the quicklace.

Overall the shoe is appealing with its tread, cushion, material used and how they feel, and toe box shape. However, a profound squeak started to occur with each step after a 1 mile trial jog. Ultimately, I returned the product. Once that piece of manufacturing is fixed, I believe it will be a great shoe option.

I've got bunions and have struggled to find a shoe that is good for all conditions, all terrain and all distances until now. I've used these regularly for the past 4 months, up to 7 hours a week of running and they have held up great. So great that I bought 2 backup pairs and plan to wear these for my summer of 100 mile races.

love the overall fit and feel of the shoe. the foam is great not too firm or too soft

These are a godsend for problematic knees. I am running daily 5-7km and am completely in love with these shoes. They have great surface area. I feel light and buoyant. Best running shoes I have had in a long time!

I have been loving the speed cross for years, but these are fantastic too, toe spreading room and light. Love them. I might stick to my speed cross for winter though, that is to be seen.

I bought a few weeks ago. I have been wearing Salomon shoes for 15 years, they are the most comfortable. These shoes are very wide and bulky. Not my favorite.

I bought these about a month ago. Great for winter running. Lots of cushion and the traction is fantastic

Recieved these for Christmas so I've been wearing them for about a month and a half' the fabric on the top is coming apart and the left shoe is making my arch sore so I have gone back to my old pair of thunder cross

These shoes are great for running hills, on gravel, on soft forrest floor, and on non-technical trails. I've gone anywhere from 3-15 miles in them with no problem, and they were a life saver on a recent trip where I was traveling for days walking on cobblestone streets. They're comfortable and have nice cushion, but you can still feel the terrain beneath you. (I live Thundercross better which is why I'm giving 4 stars)

Im enjoying my Glide Max TRs. I love the cushion, not to soft but gentler on my joints than most trail shoes I run in. Its rainy season in Oregon so these are better for dry, less muddy days on the steep hills. Nice wide toebox and stable heel. The tongue slipped constantly, uncomfortably on both feet, so I re-laced using the tongue loop to tether it in center, which worked well. Good grip but not for hill mud. Very comfortable.

For around the house these will be wonderful, for pounding pavement not so much. I'm used to a return, cushion, bounce, something.. All energy goes here to die.

Perfect right out of the box. Love them. Though they feel a half size larger, they are perfect for my evening workouts after work.

Love my new Salomon running shoes. They are extremely comfortable and give me that extra burst of energy to lower my 1 mile split time.

These are my go to every day run/hike/dog walk shoes. Better than Hoka and others if you have Planter Fasciitis. I bought a 2nd pair because they are a life saver for those with Planter Fasciitis.

They are working our well for trail walking and everyday use.

These shoes rub the back of my Achilles heel area very badly. To the point where I had to take them completely off for any relief and are basically unwearable for me. Its not so much the shoe that I am disappointed in, rather Salomons customer service team. If in the event, your shoes just dont feel right after a few wears, DO NOT expect to be able to return them if they have been worn outside in the least bit (even if you are within the return window). And also, take their so called 2 year warranty with a grain of salt. They wont hold up to their word and will find any excuse to void and deny your warranty. Do better Salomon, I expected more from you.

I havent worn them outside yet. But so far I am very happy with them. They are just right- not too short, not too long. My pair doesnt squeak as I read some ones does. They really feel super comfortable and good looking. I hope to enjoy them for a long time. Thank you.

I got these for mostly trail running because my prior pairs wore out quicker than I expected and these Glide Max shoes were on awesome discount so worth a try. I like them a lot based on first walk around comfortable. Ive taken them on just a short run so far. The tread is great, not too much or too little. I like the decent amount of cushion. The lacing system is a bit weird in that the eyelits are far apart even though my feet are regular to narrow. I look forward to trying a 10+ miler in them.
