I hate having wet feet and after years of going to sporting events with extra shoes and socks, a friend recommended Salomon. I ordered online and they arrived quickly. The size was perfect and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! My feet stayed dry all weekend and I have hardly taken these shoes off since!

I had to exchange for a different size as they fit small compared to all of my other Salomon products but the quality and comfort are outstanding.

No rocks get in, can't feel rocks under feet, very lite.

I've put a bit over 200km into these shoes and I couldn't be happier with them. They feel light on my feet and have the support needed for trails and keeping me injury free. My feet or shins haven't felt sore on any runs. Being in a northern climate, the Gore-Tex worked great in snowy trail conditions. Most recent long run was all mud and rocks and was very happy I wore these that day (photo below). Feet were only a bit damp but that was from my ankles getting wet from larger puddles and only noticed when I took my shoes off. Only negative would be with the quick-lace system, it can take a bit to get the right tightness. Overall these are a great trail shoe and would highly recommend!

Bought these for a 50K which Race Director said would cause us to get wet feet. Really liked the lacing system which was different but very comfortable. Gore-Tex worked as advertised. Course was very muddy and required good traction which shoes delivered. Went through numerous water crossings and with a pair of gaiters, my feet got only a little wet because water went up to my knees on 2 occasions (cross fast as you can). Was very happy with performance on a very tough course!

Fantastic Shoes~! Bought it a month ago and this is a great running shoes. Very light and comfortable to fit. Wearing it every single times on my running.

Bought these for winter running, looking for a warmer shoe with more aggressive tread. These are perfect, fit and cushioning are excellent. Quick lace system is super!

These are the third pair and second model of Salomon shoes I have bought. They are wonderful, they fit well and cause no discomfort. I highly recommend them.

I purchased these for my college aged runner grandson. These were the second pair I purchased for him! He says these are his favorite running shoes. He loves the comfort and quality and has been very happy with them!

My 4th pair of Salomon's. Did not need another pair but loved the colors to support my ISU Cyclones and was blown away by how soft and comfortable they are. Lots of arthritis in my legs and feet but no issue with comfort while wearing these. Great shoes!

These shoes were an awesome tool to cross my first 50 mile trail ultra marathon! If you are looking for a shoe that are light weight, hold up moisture (Invested in the water resistant pair), have functional shoes lace system, and feel comfortable yet super responsive. Add a pair to your arsenal!

I have had 3 pairs on Salomon XA pro gtx over past 4 years which have been great ...but really noticed the difference with the Ultra Glide- the extra cushioning makes longer runs so much more enjoyable- they are also a little wider which again helps with comfort on longer runs Really recommend these great shoes

Bought this for a trip to Ireland, anticipating the potential for wet weather. Ended up having great weather but loved the shoe for versatility and comfort

I bought these for when I'm doing longer mileage in the mountains. I wore them in a recent race and they really were comfortable during a very gruelling race. Excellent performance

Good shoes for snow running or trail running. They have a really nice grip. The only cons is that I feel like they are a little bit too hard on the sole, so the feet hurts after lots of hours using them like in a hiking journey. Overall to recommend.

Today I received and took a real walk in the snow. The first impression is good, it fits relatively well to the leg that provides the control. Loved the lacing system. In terms of cushioning, everyone has to look at where and how they are used, but on average, not too soft and not too hard. It ventilates well, the feet remained dry from the snow, but when I pushed the paper, it was wet (usually the membrane does not ventilate so easily and does not dry, therefore, it is difficult to say how GoreTex implemented it, probably very dirty). Cons: Compared to my other shoes, the sole is slippery. Contrary to the right foot, the shoe is too narrow for the left foot, such a feeling of compression (if in technical sports, then it is OK, but these are not the shoes). In general, I still don't know if these shoes fit me, because of a 2-3 millimeter insufficient heel. Walk to the store and back OK, ha ha.

I bought this shoe specifically to use on snow/ice coverered trails. Excellent water proofing. My feet have remained dry and comfortable, even when covered in snow for extended periods. Plus the Salomon quick-lacing system is simply the best. NEVER slips or needs adjustment once set in place. And easy to loosen for removal, even when covered in slush or with cold fingers. The only negative feedback I have is that the tread lugs are already showing wear (with about 60 miles of use). I do tend to need to run a mile or so each way on asphlat from the trailhead, but still would have liked to seen a little more resilience with the rubber.

I bought this shoes month ago and I am really satisfied. The shoe is very light and wide enough for my foot. I have only used Salomon's trail running shoes now for several years because those fit perfectly to me.

Overall very pleased with shoe, bought online and did not try for fit. Have found unless i am wearing zero cushion socks big toes are making contact with toe cap. Long way of saying their half size too small !. Have had and have numerous Salomon shoes and boots and size normally has not varied. With correct socks are comfortable and leave legs feeling good!

Bought these for more padding below the foot and worried about stability, but it wasn't an issue

I have other Salomon shoes and purchased the same size for the ultra glide 2. The toe box is very small and I can't run in them. Make sure you size up if you buy them.

These were so "good on paper". What's not to love? And with Goretex to boot. Much like another reviewer. When I wore them around the house, they were awesome, but when running with them the fore part of the shoe is just too cramped. I have extra space at the toes but something about them feels too narrow or something at the front? Maybe a bigger size needed? I really, really want to like this just wish I had gotten a half size bigger maybe - it's so tough to say.

Had to return them. Either it should have a wider forefoot, or come in a wide version (being sold in Norway). Then I think it would be a perfect shoe for me; waterproof, comfort and durability!
