While I generally love Taos shoe/sneakers, these were not the best, comfort-wise. I think it's the zipper. I have a pair of leather Taos sneakers with a zip and have similar comfort issues which are not there with my other Taos footwear purchases. I think the zipper adds unnecessary material to the shoe which means lots of stuff crowding your feet. With these sneakers I feel it on top of my feet, although, expanding the laces near the bottom helps a bit. Couple of points: While I do have wide feet, going a size up only made me feel like I had clown feet - they were WAY too long, and the width still wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. Going down to my regular size, I prayed for width expansion as I wore them, which I got. Canvas is a bit stretchy. So. Don't go a size up, but if you have seriously wide feet, don't buy these unless available in wide width. The second thing is: I just want to say, with some embarrassment, that I love the looks of these sneakers so I didn't return them even though my feet are only 67.5 % happy when I wear them. A total capitulation to fashion on my part. Ack. Oh, well.

These sneakers are so cute, and I've gotten many compliments on them, but unlike my other Taos shoes, they are very uncomfortable. They are narrow and the top of the shoe bears down on the top of my foot. I kept thinking they would stretch out (had them almost a year now) and they never did. I wouldn't recommend these to folx with wide feet. I haven't needed a wide Taos shoe yet, so I think it is this particular style, with the zipper, that is troublesome. I also have this in a dark gray leather, same size, and those have stretched out enough to be comfortable.

I need a shoe with lots of cushioning and arch support. Unfortunately I don't think I could wear these for long periods of time. I must return them, though I am sad because I love the style.

I just recently got into the sneaker scene and as soon as I put these on, I was in love. ? First they are super neutral in color and could be worn with literally any color/s. I love the 2 options of laces they came with. I absolutely love the easy zip up closure but also appreciate that the laces DO work and can be adjusted. These are very comfortable (even though my feet are still getting used to flats lol). I loved them so much, I not only recommended them but I bought a pair for my sister. ? Get ‘em if you can!!

Y'all! The zipper is where it's at! I LOVE that this shoe is easy to get on and off, despite being a high-top. I wanted a white sneaker to wear this summer with dresses (this fashion trend is all the rage in Europe), and this is the one!

I like these shoes a lot but I needed them to wear with black pants and these look brown, even though the color says “gray.” I’m returning them because I don’t need brown shoes.

The shoe was a good fit. The trouble was the zipper was extremely difficult to zip up!!!

Based on previous reviews I was concerned that these were going to be too tight as I don't have narrow feet at all. I actually have flat feet. I ordered my usual size 7 and they fit perfectly length and width wise. I also don't have a problem zipping my shoes up. First with the zipper zipped all the way up I adjusted the shoelaces. Unzipped and zipped again, I only had to adjust the top part to make it a tad bit loose, not much, and I can zip and unzip w/o problems. These are cute and very comfortable shoes!

The fit was great other than the arch being too high. I have a more flat foot and the arch bothered me too much. I love the shoe and am bummed they didn't work out!

These are so cute! I wanted to keep but just too narrow in toe box.

These are very cute, but there is little cushioning in the forefoot......even with the wonderful Taos insoles. If you don't need extra cushioning for this area, then this would be a great summer shoe!

Wanted to love them, but the zipper was impossible to zip up easily

The shoes are really cool looking but are stiff and lack support in the footbed. The arch support was what I bought them before but everywhere but the arch felt unsupported. Disappointed and sending back.
