I have a 511 Tactical backpack that as use as my EDC here in Germany. Nine times out of ten I am schlepping to and from the train station, then from the parking garage to the office. I have had a dickens of a time finding a rain cover that won't slip off the pack once I put the pack on my body. Every cover I've tried slips at the top. This one (Small) does not! With the added hoodie, I can't imagine my pack getting wet. I have one question, though. How the heck do you get the genie back in the bottle? Like how do you fold it to fit in the tiny little built-in cover thingy.

Really like this pack cover. Side by side, I like this more than the regular fly pack.

To start, if you are rocking a MR Bridger 65L, the medium does fit! I, for one, hate the look of a saggy rainfly on my bag, and the medium fits perfectly on my 65L Bridger. I love the extra features on this cover. The hood is nice, but the shoulder covers are the game changer. This thing kept my pack bone dry through a full day of downpour in the forest. Yes, this is expensive. Yes, this will last forever.

Upon receiving this item, I was surprised by a few things. First, the material is thicker and a little stiffer than I anticipated. I imagine it will get a little more flexible with time. And the thicker material means it has some weight, especially as its in the hood, which you'll be able to feel more of. Another surprise was the that it came in an internal, sewed-in stuff sack. without considerable effort, I won't be able to get the cover and hood back into the sack as well as it came from the brand. However, I got this on sale and I don't think those surprises will bother me. Overall, this is a review based on initial impressions and not use.
