The shoes feel good without socks which was the first thing I was worried about. I am usually a size 7 1/2 and I ordered a size 7. Fits nicely and my toe isn't in an uncomfortable spot. I cannot wait to wear these to the beach. That's what I got them for. I also got them because I usually go to the river and it's very rocky there. My sandals are not efficient with all the rocks. I also got them because I want to bike and then swim at the beach and I do not want to bike in sandals. Love the orange/ginger color. The shoes don't look like normal water shoes, they are stylish in my opinion. The straps are nice and help you get a tight fit. I have wide feet, these shoes do not feel too small in the toe area. This is not incentivized.

I've only worn them a couple of times, but they've been comfortable enough that I didn't need socks to break them in. Looking forward to putting them to some really use the next time I'm near the beach or hiking or walking.

Purchased these for hiking day trips to parks with various terrain. Returned as they would not work for me. The straps were too many and while they felt stable and comfortable, were not lightweight enough or flexible. I have multiple pairs of Teva and love them especially Reember style but not this particular style.Returns were quick and easy, thank you.

The opening is a little small to put your foot through, I wished it stretched a little more. I had to size up to what I normally wear in Tevas. When going sock-less while wearing the shoes, it makes a farting noise, which is hilarious. Other than that, it's really comfortable and can go other a multitude of surfaces.

I am a competitive outrigger canoer and these seemed perfect! They are great because where I canoe we have to walk the canoes into the ocean from the asphalt, and I was tired of walking on concrete / rocks and then losing my sandals in the water. My only complaint is little tiny rocks get stuck on the outside in the parts that hold the Velcro straps. I have to swipe the pebbles out with my fingers several times during practice. If I don't, they stab the sides of my feet. Additionally, my ankles hit the hard plastic part on the outside of the shoe as well if I wear them for too long. Additionally, I wore these hiking / walking volcanoes National park and they were great, except for the hitting of my ankles again on the plastic part.

LOVED the look of this and wanted a river shoe for my hike in Narrows, AZ, so I picked this. I placed four stars as this required a socks for me to be able to wear comfortably even for a short distance. The lateral ankle bone (lateral malleolus) kept getting hit rather painfully by the hard triangle parts. With the socks, I was able to do a long distance walk @ the Wave with no issues.

I bought these to use when my dogs and I hike/walk around local lakes because usually, at some point, we play fetch in the water and inevitably, I end up having to get in to retrieve their toys when they get distracted. I got tired of having my walking socks/shoes sopping wet for the rest of our walk. These ended up working out very well for this purpose because they dry quickly and they have enough support that I'm comfortable walking a few miles in them. I don't know that I'd do any serious hiking wearing these, but for the shorter distances, they work nicely. I also appreciate having the straps both over the foot and toe area to loosen/tighten as needed. I don't know how well they will hold up, so I cannot comment on longevity, but thus far, they're great. I have worn them with and without socks and obviously they dry faster wearing without socks, but the socks help avoid any sort of rub spots on my heels. I also noticed that these are a bit slippery on wet rock, so I'm cautious when walking on them now. I bought these in both a women's size 8 (my usual Teva size) and a men's size 7, just to see if there was a difference as I have a slightly wider-than-average foot. The men's was a bit too large and wide, so I sent those back and kept the women's. These are comfortable for wiggle room in the toes without being excessively wide, in my opinion. I like them so much that I bought another pair and am hoping that they'll make it through several summers.

I bought these to hike in and around rivers and they get the job done! They are pretty comfortable while in the water and give me confidence when traversing over rocks leading to and in the river. They don't dry as quickly as I'd like, and I have to empty them out more frequently than I'd like to (little pebbles and dirt get in the shoes pretty easily). If I have to hike down a mile or more to the river, I wear my regular hiking boots and change into these to walk the river. The plastic on the side by the ankle really digs in once in awhile, which makes them uncomfortable for hiking on land for very long. They are great for float trips, too, although they stay pretty darn soggy.

Love these for the most part. The only problem is that triangle of plastic on the outside which, when making certain movements (walking around a corner) jams directly on my ankle bone which has been painful when it happens since there's no give in the hard plastic. Ouch. Would be nice if that plastic bit was moved or they used a softer plastic that could give with the movement of the ankle. Otherwise, they're perfect for throwing on without socks to run out and do basically anything (grocery shopping, coffee run, heading to an appointment, etc).

Super cute but I had to return and get a half size down. I always wear an 8 but found the 8 to feel clunky. 7.5 was perfect. Excited to wear them outdoors this summer.

Def listen to the reviews about it running large. I went with my gut and bought my normal size (8.5) and had to exchange for the next size down (8). The straps don't really lighten much and are just for looks basically. Comfortable and great for my daily walks.

first of all, size down! i got my usual size and ended up having to exchange them for the next size down because they were too big. the straps are rigid and not as adjustable as the ones of teva's sandals, so i don't recommend relying on the straps for adjustments. once i did get the right size, i took them out for a test drive. i wore them all day on a ~5 mile hike and splashing around in the river afterwards. my verdict is that these are great water shoes, they're super comfy and cushiony without getting squishy when they're wet. that said, i would not recommend these for hiking, as they did give me blisters and rubbed my ankles raw, even with wool hiking socks on. i'll keep wearing them and see if they improve over time. i'd say these are great for biking to the beach, kayaking, or any other light activity. i wouldn't recommend them for anything more than a very short hike. the good news is that while i wouldn't consider these very packable (they're a bit bulky) they are super lightweight so you could easily carry them along if you have room in your bag.

Size down! Sturdy shoe. I wanted something lighter to pack "incase". This shoe you could almost run the beach in.

I went to Vietnam and hiked through the Northern mountains for the first three days of our trip and these shoes held up pretty well. I did't wear socks since it was wet and muddy. On the fourth day I noticed a raw area on my left ankle and I needed to use moleskin there for the remainder of my trip. I am looking forward to wearing them kayaking this summer.

These are just ok. Fit fine I guess tho a little on the big side. The Velcro edges and that triangle of sadness on the sides - so irritating. Returned

I bought these for an upcoming river adventure trip that requires 'water trekking shoes.' After ordering several pairs from Merrell, Teva, and Hoka, these quickly went on the Return pile. The styling is just odd. I see how they were going for the classic Teva straps with mesh covering the foot, but the execution is just weird. The straps seem to stick up even when secured, and I can't imagine actually wearing them in the water.

size 9 was too small and 9.5 hit the ball of my foot at the wrong point. i guess these shoes are not meant for me.

I liked the look of the Outflow but it was heavier than I expected and it was too wide both in the foot and heel. The adjustable straps don't cinch up more than about a quarter inch so I couldn't get them to fit. Returned them. The return process was easy and seamless.

I bought these Tevas primarily for a trip I took to New Mexico. I went on a few rigorous day hikes while on my trip and the shoes held up well. I kept hoping though that they would become more comfortable the more I wore them but that wasn't the case. They aren't a shoe that I look forward to putting on. I was also on the fence about the style of the shoe. I had purchased hiking shoes from Teva in the past and really loved them but they didn't offer that style any longer so I settled for these. I'm a bit underwhelmed by these shoes.

I know this is water shoes but id also like to wear this on casual walks where i would wear socks. I followed the size guide measured my feet got size 8 on womens. There is no extra space. Its just exactly just 8. Idk but the size is accurate as heck if worn bare foot. Im returning this to get an 8.5. Also very difficult to get my foot in there because of the mouth of the shoes .i wish the back side is more stretchy. Again this size is perfect when worn barefoot. Cant wear these with socks on. Also feels narrower than expected. Its not the same as just a regular teva sandals. I asked them if wide feet friendly they said yes but thats not true.

They allow way too much sand inside of the shoe and small rocks get caught inside of the Velcro strap at the side of the foot causing a lot of pain.
