Light and comfortable. These are very much like classic old school French foreign legion issue.

They fit well and are comfortable to hike in. Good traction. I'm a Vegan and take a lot of wildlife pictures. I like these because they are not made with animal products, the animals I photograph are also glad.

This is my second pair of these, I wore out the first. Just love them. The first pair was too large and so for this pair I went down a size and they are perfect! These remind me of summer combat boots that the military developed for middle-eastern ops, but these are much better and I personally think they look great. Comfort, looks, fit and stamina (I do a LOT of hiking)--what is not to love?

I've always enjoyed my shoes from LL Bean. They're comfortable and they hold up well. I usually get three years of dependable service.

Similar to an old favorite that disappeared years ago. Purchased as a fishing shoe. Slippery jetty rocks. Light hiking.

Such a comfortable fit with ample room in the toe box. The high top upper provides ankle support and the natural sole works for those looking for a zero-drop or transitional heel-drop fit.

The boots are every bit as comfortable as my husband hoped they would be when he saw them in LL Bean's catalog. He likes them very much and wears them quite often.

Light, comfortable, easy to lace up. Not for heavy backpacking, though.

I bought my Eco Woods hiking boots about ten months ago and wear them almost every other day. They have been through a hailstorm and impromptu hiking with me and have stood up well so far. No stains or coming apart at the seams.
Sturdy construction and good design helps. For example, D-ring lacing and a boot strap to help pull them on. Much better design and construction than some other very popular fabric boots.
I understand the concerns about sizing. My usual size is 11 that is what I ordered. They are the right length and are not loose across the instep. However, when I tighten the uppers they overlap. Not a serious problem considering the overall quality of the Eco Woods boots, but it is odd.

These shoes are made for a flat-footed duck or something. There is no depth to the forefoot, and no way to adjust without slitting the canvas. Don't buy these if you have three dimensional feet. If the tongue and laces extended further forward, like a basketball shoe, they would give. But the manmade polyester material will never stretch. What a shame. An otherwise wonderful, soft, minimalist, functional boot.

Really like the looks and I appreciate the ease being able to get in them and out of them.
I wouldn't wear them on a real hiking trail but around town their great.

Wish bean had either correctly sized the shoe or allowed an exchange. Great otherwise.

I exchanged the first pair I tried which were a size 9. They were too big. I went a half size smaller and I could probably go down another half. I have worn a 9.5 my entire adult life. Order a full size smaller if you wear a thick sock, another half size smaller if you wear a thin sock.

Product received, fit my husband well but on the first try on the eyelet/grommets fell out. Returned, disappointed.
