A good shoe for outdoor work or casual wear. Looks great with jeans.

This pair of shoes not only very nice, they provide good arch support that I need and they are a very comfortable fit. I use a mink oil rub to keep the leather looking fresh and to avoid cracking from excessive exposure to the elements. Walking is a real comfort in these shoes.

High quality , took a few days to 'break-in m'
Actually caused sore spots on my upper foot at ankle on first time wearing; but swapping use and shorter weare time allowed a break in and now they feel great. P

Purchased these shoes a few months ago and wear them to work (office environment) several days a week. I love the construction of the shoe. They seem really well built. I like how the inside is mostly leather. The shoes I've had with lots of fabric surfaces inside wear thru really fast for me. Because of the leather construction and stiff soles, you do have to wear them in but they do get comfy. Also, I noticed some folks complain about a clicking noise while walking. I did experience this on occasion but realized it was the shoe lace ends bouncing off the leather. This has appeared to go away with the softening of the leather and depending on the pants I am wearing. Very happy with these shoes.

It feels well made and durable. The cut around the ankle was uncomfortable for my foot. Maybe better once it's broken in, but really stiff. Size and fit was OK for me, and I love the look.

Bought a pair of these shoes about 3 months ago. They looked great, and fit was comfortable. My main concern was that the left shoe "squeaked" each time I took a step. It felt like the piece of metal embedded in the sole, just below my foot was loose or just making noise. I am happy to report that after 3 months the squeaking stopped and the shoes are as quiet as all others.

Have 2 pair and sole wore out but shoe is just getting broken in. My favorite everyday shoe they need to do a good rubber sole and not foam.

show itself is nice. Generous toe box, and I like the style of the shoe. Sizing is what you would expect. But as others have commented, the shoelaces are absolute garbage. I have only worn them occasionally so far, and already both shoelaces look like they are about to fail at the top eyelets. I don't know why they don't address this. It is a simple fix. One I unfortunately will be fixing myself.

I've had these shoes for about one month. I have worn similar shoes from Doc Marten, but their quality just went downhill. I've tried these and for the most part, they are good, solid comfortable shoes. My complaint is that in one of the shoes, I can feel a piece of metal plating which is below my foot, built into the actual sole of the shoe. Feeling this plate is sometimes uncomfortable. Additionally, one of the shoes "squeaks" when I walk, which was a problem that I heard about from other purchasers before I got my pair. I plan to buy a Dr Scholle shoe cushion this weekend and alleviate part of the problem.

Well built, and I like the looks, but they're very stiff. Even the tongue is stiff and rides too high up the front of the ankle. These shoes will require some serious break-in time in order to make them wearable for extended periods. But, I have no doubt they'll be durable.

I love these shoes. They are comfortable, and they are perfect for casual days at the office as well as several outdoor events. The insoles are not glued, so they squeak. I suspect I could do something about it, but I have not tried, WARNING: Do not purchase if you intend to use them for cat burglaries or deep investigative work!

I really like the shoes, all except the inner soles, which start making noise after 10-15 minutes.

They feel good, but the break-in period will take a little time. I like the somewhat dresser look so I won't be wearing them every day.

I really, really like the styling. However I find them to be stiff and very heavy. I realize that break-in time varies by individual, but it's taking a long time for me to get them to feel comfortable. I regret the purchase.

I bought this pair of shoes thinking that they could last a lot longer than the light weight hiking/running shoes I often buy. They are built with sturdy leather and have vibram soles. The uppers should wear well and the shoes could be resoled when the soles wear out.
There were a couple of problems which have left me less excited about these shoes. First, the tongue on the left shoe developed a fold just above the point where the tongue is sewn to the upper. I could put the shoes on, then take a few steps and the left tongue had slid down into the shoe. Stop, untie, pull the tongue up, retie, and take off. Boom, there goes that tongue again!
Second, these shoes seem determined to pull my socks down! Walking around on the flats there was no problem. As soon as I came to an uphill stretch, the shoes start to pull my socks down! I hiked up a short hill by my house and had to stop at the top to take each shoe off and pull my socks up.
I "fixed" the tongue problem by gluing a stiffer piece of leather on top of the lower part of the tongue. Not pretty but it did the trick. But I'm not sure there is a fix for the sock problem.

These shoes are stiffer than expected and take some getting used to compared to my more flexible hiking shoes. I needed a more formal shoe and initially liked these because the rigid toe shape was roomy and did not irritate my toe corn. But the jury is still out on overall comfort and Im not sure if I will keep them.

As a former Shoe Repairman, I know a quality shoe when I see it. From an all leather upper & welt to the full slipsole & Vibram sole, this shoe was meant to last. Well worth the asking price.
