This NB style is definitely narrower than others in a Wide width. The store people even said that, and suggested I try the More v4 and the 1080v12. Those two styles have a great width in the Wide. Plus, the 880v13 is much firmer than those other Fresh Foam styles I mentioned.

Here's what I look for in a running shoe: cushioning to protect my arthritic knees, good arch support to prevent plantar fasciitis, and a fit that accommodates my narrow feet. This is my new go-to, now that the 1080 design has changed.

I have a wide foot and the toe box was not wide enough and the width at the arch was snug.

They are good-looking but too narrow; the toe box is wide enough but the rest of the shoe is too narrow for a wide width. I'm returning them.

Shockingly, the most comfortable sneaker I've ever worn! I look forward to getting another pair soon, before the model changes.

My feet feel supported and cushioned firmly. I pronate and these have a balanced heel construction. The soles look unique in terms of design so I cant visibly see how the design works. I am hoping that the heel area holds up over time. I am not a runner but I run around alot if you know what I mean.

This is a terrible shoe. I can feel the rocks on my walking trail through the sole and my orthotic. PLEASE don't buy it if you're looking for any type of cushioning. The reviews on this site may be similar to their parent's site Amazon, meaning they are not from real buyers.

One of the best New Balance sneakers I have ever worn! Very comfy for everyday use when you stand and walk on concrete most of the day.

This is my second pair of these shoes. Very comfortable. Perfect for walking.

Very nice quality shoes, but I have very difficult feet to fit. I have a lower volume foot with a narrow heel but have relatively large bunions and also pronate. These were the neutral 880 model and I probably need the 860 stability model instead (& a smaller size). These sneakers have a great wide rounded toe box (maybe a little too round to be flattering) and plenty of room for my bunions (I ordered a 2E width for my bunions) but the length ran a little long for me and the heel was too wide for me so my heel kept slipping. For me, these shoes run wide and I could probably even do with the wide width in these shoes, which I can't do with most other sneakers. So, if you are looking for a sneaker with plenty of room in the front these have it. I will try again. So frustrating to order shoes online. Zappos has been very patient with me. Thank you Zappos. Also, There were some slight seams in the forefoot that might bother sensitive feet and they are not highly cushioned IMHO personally I need to add an orthotic arch/heel support. But the shoes do have a good grounded sure-footed feeling which I appreciated.

These are terrific athletic shoes. Very comfortable and holds up to the pounding of walking and running. Just purchased a second pair, though had to exchange them because the silver white looks too white and not silver at all. Bummer. I’m going with another color.

Wanted to love these but they hurt the pad of my foot and the width of my feet wore them and hurt so much. I feel bad but I think it’s not the shoes but my feet.

I have these in a few colors. I have very narrow feet and a high arch and thin legs. I have bought OC’S which are very pricey and they do not support my feet like these. I bough Nike’s also which are pricey as well. Tried a few brands and finally found the style and brand that looks the best on me and feels the best! I highly recommend these.

I usually wear the 840’s but decided to try these and so far so good. I love the wider toe box area. I wear an 11wide and always order from Zappos.

I've heard rave reviews about 880's, and was really disappointed that they didn't work for me. They felt TTS for New Balance (so 1/2 size up from my normal shoe size). Unfortunately, I have suffered from Plantar Fasciitis in the past, and the paranoia of it coming back never goes away. The arch support was just not nearly what I needed it to be (yes, I have orthotics, but it's a hassle transferring from shoe to shoe). I am so accustomed to the way that New Balance 1080's fresh foam arch supports cradle my feet and give me the support I need in my high arch, and these just didn't come close.

I'm really happy with these. I've been dealing with a high arch that is starting to collapse and an Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction (PTTD) issue for about 4 months. This has finally gotten me orthotics that didn't fit in my current shoes. Earlier in the year I had purchased Brooks at the recommendation of a friend. After 6 months they were falling apart and I knew almost immediately they were not the comfort level I was looking for. After wearing these two weeks, with and without orthotics, these have been put through their paces. The only reason I'm docking a star is because the tongue is pretty long and is uncomfortable hitting the outside of my ankle if the shoes are tied too tight. Otherwise they are great. And I know there was at least one complaint about the shorter laces, but I'm loving them! So much better than the ridiculously long laces I'm usually dealing with. Even better was getting them in all black.

The shoes fit well, the style is what I was looking for, but there is a seam on the inside in the right shoe that rubs my toe. I cannot wear these shoes with this flaw. I have another pair of NB 880 shoes that do not have this same problem area. I will return.

I bought these to replace an older version of the 880. These might be a tiny bit snugger, but the same size fits. Or my old ones might just be stretched out. These are every bit as comfortable and they look nicer. The arctic gray is kind of a light washed denim color. No break in period required. I use these for walking and light cardio and they are perfect.

Everything about this shoe has been great!

Got these for walking indoors and only used twice but seem supportive and hug my heel nicely. They seem a bit snug in the width so I had to wear a little lighter sock to start with. Maybe they will stretch out some. But the snugness feels good for walking mostly.

I have a collapsed arch and can not function not find shoes that do not hurt my feet. These shoes are amazing. After teaching all day, my feet feel great.

The first order came in the wrong size--9 W when I ordered 9 12 regular width. I returned them hassle free and the correct size was sent. They are perfect. Thanks.

I like these shoes and have bought this model before. This pair seemed to be narrower and were not as roomy in the toe box.
