The chamois is so soft and cozy. It is surprisingly supple, compared with other LLB chamois shirts. The side pockets are a brilliant addition. The red plaid is rich without being too bright. I have two issues with the tunic, however. It is a little tightish across the back shoulders. If it shrinks at all, it will be uncomfortable. Only thin shirts will work. I can't understand why it's tight across the shoulders. The sleeves are perfect. The tunic length is surprisingly long, maybe too long. It's funny, because I'm always griping about LLB "tunics" being too short. This one is long enough to be a coat. It falls just above my knees. It would be perfect were it about 2 inches shorter. It's not an item that lends itself to hemming, otherwise I would. I haven't decided whether or not to keep it. I don't think of myself as short (5'3 1/2") and I am not fat (120lbs.) I can't understand the fit. Were it not so long, and borderline tight across the shoulders, I would definitely keep it. At this point, I just don't know...

Too snug in the shoulders. Purchased for winter layering but that was impossible. Also, material looked worn after a couple of washes. I do love the cut and length though.

So soft, comfortable. The colors are perfect for fall in New England! I bought a size medium, I am 5'5 and 151lbs. It is is a bit roomy, I possibly could have went down a size.

Not just another plaid flannel shirt! This one is nicely designed and constructed to really make it a standout. Does it sound crazy to call a flannel shirt "flattering" or "slimming"? This one is! Looking forward to wearing this one in a number of ways for a long time. A classic made classy!

The material and design are great. Very smooth, soft and warm. However, the size runs small, so to get the best fit, it would be best to order the next size up.

Perfect XL slender fit, and not boxy. I am 5'9, 190. The shirt is a nice long tunic length pass my butt and nice long sleeves, I love the colors navy with gray, and nice thick cozy soft fabric. Read the washing instructions. Cold wash, I always use woolite. I always hang dry my shirts. I always iron my shirts but this tag says no ironing.

Great tunic. LL Bean quality flannel. Sturdy, heavy and warm. It just did not suit my 5'2" body. It was overwhelming. I liked the length and the idea, just not right for me.

It's warm and long. I bought a size up so I can wash it and not worry about shrinkage.
Thanks LLBean for never compromising on quality.

Very nice heavy shirt jacket. It is well made and a little heavier than a fannel shirt.

I purchased this tunic for my wife, and she loves it! The fabric has a nice feel and the cut is comfortable. It's holding up well in the wash.

I love a tunic shirt and this one is beautiful! The fabric is thick and soft; this is a really high-quality flannel. The pockets are great and I think the fit is perfect. I'm thrilled with it!

LOVE this Chamois Tunic - pockets, close fit so I don't feel like I am wearing a tent, good coverage in the back.

Bean's Chamois Signature Collection is a "Best Choice" for those who truly appreciate original LL Bean designs. The Women's Signature Chamois Tunic Pattern is the traditional vintage 1958 Ladies Chamois Cloth Shirt. I love the pretty navy duck 100% Cotton fabric that honors outdoors women and ducks. It is a little snug for layering heavier multiple layers. This chamois tunic is not heavyweight fabric, so the 100% Cotton fit has a lighter weight softer feel and not stiff heavier chamois requiring a breaking-in period. This tunic has small buttons so it will either stay unbuttoned or permanently quarter buttoned to go on over the head, since I prefer snaps. I highly recommend 100% Cotton Chamois Tunic being careful with fabric care and washing to avoid shrinkage.

The way in which the pretty model in the online photo is posed doesn't do this lovely item justice. It is shapely and figure-flattering, especially when buttoned all the way down. Like presumably everything in the L.L. Bean Heritage/Archive line, it is more traditionally sized, nothing "vanity" about the sizing here. I held off ordering the navy scenic version because it wasn't available in petites. I finally gave in and ordered it in the regular, and I'm so glad that I did. It falls a little below mid-thigh on me and looks great. Even the sleeves are not too long. As a matter of fact, I like it so well that I just placed an order for this shirt in the antique lilac plaid. Both tunics should work beautifully under my 3/4-length coats.

I love the substantial weight of this tunic, it's a perfect lighter layer for fall here in California. The pockets are awesome! I'm 5'4" and had mine hemmed about 1.5 inches (which still left enough room under the pocket seams) since it was just a bit overwhelming for my height and now it's perfect. Some may like that longer length if they are on the shorter side, especially with leggings, but having it hemmed worked better for me. I got the Antique Lilac color and it's beautiful for fall! Also, I have broad shoulders and got my usual size small and it fit's great, not oversized but not snug either.

So soft and cozy. Will wear with leggings or tights - I'm short enough that it is dress length on me - just above the knees.

I love this tunic, I'm tall & it covers my bum.
This can be worn with jeans but I also dressed it up a bit for a per cruise dinner in San Francisco early spring by wearing a navy camisole leggings with it. Washes well, no issues.
