This jacket was ordered to replace a very similar one from Bean that had become (ahem) a little tight. I love the design. The wool lining, longer length, and rain-resistant fabric makes this a very versatile garment in cold climates. I prefer the snaps rather than Velcro around the neck hereno snags on my scarf. The black and blue combination that I chose really pops. My previous version of this coat was at last twelve years old and will give years of warmth to its new owner, I'm sure. I'm looking forward to owning this one for that long or more.

So happy this jacket is back!! I had one back in the '82. Loved it then, love it now. Definitely reccomend it for "in-between seasons" in Colorado. I bought a small. Great fit. (I'm 5'2", 134 pounds). Thank you for bringing it back.

Very pleased with my new Parka. The weather has turned fairly Spring-like so it has been too warm to wear it. BUT I have tried it on and like the fit and feel. I have a very similar parka from LLBean that I have had for years. I needed a replacement and am/was thrilled with the service I got at your store in North Bethesda. Susan

I am in love with this coat! It's the perfect mid-weight for early spring in NY state. (I anticipate it being amazing come fall, too.) It has lots of compartments and kept me warm from the wind. I love how it zips high and has a good hood for rainy or snowy days. The checkered lining, toggles, zipper, and dusty pink color bring me right back to being a little girl. This was the style! I am so happy with my purchase and highly recommend.

This jacket is very comfortable. The color is a pretty mauve/pink and it fits beautifully. I absolutely love the pockets (what girl doesn't am I right?).

Was purchased for my elderly mother. She passed away before using it. It was a nice winter coat. Pretty color too.

I love my Baxter State Parka. I walk daily and now with the cold and rain and wind I am very pleased with this coat. Although we have not had the temps some further north have had, we have dipped into the 20s and New England mornings can be raw and quite chilly. Got caught in the rain one morning and the coat kept me quite dry. When temps drop down further I will opt for my fabulous LL Bean ankle length puffy coat (warmest) to keep me snug. Thank you LL Bean for continuing to make products that are excellent quality.

I bought this parka right after moving to Wyoming in early December 2013. It turned out to be a brutal Winter from the get go. This Baxter State Parka was up to the job of protecting me and keeping me warm, even though I had a heart murmur that required surgery to enable me to survive. Staying warm is extremely important, especially for those of us with cardiac issues! The pockets are great, roomy enough to hold a large set of keys while keeping them secure. The hood has a removable faux fur trim that protects my face from blizzard conditions, whether I am shoveling snow or headed to the store for supplies and groceries. I love this parka. Thank you for bringing it back year after year!

I read all these reviews and I'm still very satisfied. I'm usually between a S and M, and the medium fit me perfectly. Neither the sleeves nor torso are too tight. If I wanted to put something bulky underneath, I'd wear a different coat. This is perfect for brisk winter walks. I like the draw string waist. It makes the jacket warmer and the silhouette is not at all boxy. I have not found the wool lining to be itchy, but I don't wear light shirts underneath in the winter. I've always loved natural fabrics. They are more comfortable especially as the days get warmer. Nice job, LL Bean!

Love it! I had this same coat in 1984 and was so excited to find it again.

So far, I love the jacket, but regularly fight with the zipper and can't get it to come apart at the bottom. Very irritating. But the jacket is warm and perfect for mild winters.

I like this parka- it's warm, stylish, great color and fit. I wish I had looked at the care instructions, because I did not expect it to be dry clean only. Bean's other Baxter State Parka is machine washable. I don't think I would have purchased it had I realized that!
