This shirt has been a fantastic workhorse. It's comfortable and has kept my husband warm on cold winter days (20 degrees). TTS- he is 6'1" and 200 pounds, a large fit perfectly.

This was the perfect addition to my layering system. I will use it upland hunting and wanted a loose fit. I thought it ran a bit small thru the toros, but I could lose a couple some pounds so your experience may vary. I ended up with the XL and that fit comfortably through the torso although the arms a bit long. I am happy with this.

Bought two sets of the heavyweight base layer long sleeve crew and related pants. The fit and comfort were excellent and they kept me perfectly comfortable while skiing. Definitely recommend.

This is a great base layer crew. I field tested it you might say, by wearing it in Germany where the weather was cold, rainy, windy and snowy. Since this is a heavy layer, not much else is needed under the down jacket. I have a small and it is a bit tight fitting, but perfect for me. So just be cautious of the size for yourself. Would definitely recommend for buying.

Hands down the best long underwear you can get. The sheer weight of the material, the comfort, and the warmest. Also extremely impressed with the look and design.

Thumb hooks probably unecessary. Length should be longer. $60 is too much. Thumb hooks probably unecessary.

Used the heavyweight shirt when hiking in Arches National Park. In November at around 40 degrees, helped stay warm with other layers.

I purchased this heavweight base layer because of it's distinctive color and the fact it is of heavy weight. I have so many long sleeve black tee's in my dresser I'm right in line behind Steve Jobs and Johnny Cash. The color is sort of a bronze/brown and I was very pleased with it. FIT: I ordered the 2XL because I'm just under 6' 5" and 190lbs. The shirt fits as it is intended, but it does not fit me well but I kept it. I wish they made it in tall sizes. The torso/body of the shirt is a couple inches short for a tall man and the sleeves 1-inch short. It has good warmth retention and overall I'm pleased. I wish the industry would make more shirts in other colors besides black.

This is a great shirt. I simply don't want to take it off in the colder months here in Pennsylvania. Depending on your purposes, I would recommend ordering one size larger than your usual LL Bean shirt. I wear a size medium in just about every other Bean shirt, but in this shirt, I returned the medium for a large. I do wish they offered it in a couple of more colors. If they do, I will add another one next fall.

All my life, I've worn small but I didn't want a tight fit so I ordered a medium. It was snug but I didn't know if it would fit next year so I returned it for size large. Happy I did. I'm 5-6, 170. The large fits like a size, fitted sweater. Not tight, not a baggy tent. I wore this heavyweight base crew and then a L.L. Bean heavyweight base layer 1/4 zip over the top. Then my softshell (different brand) on top of the two Bean garments. With a balaclava, warm gloves and thick socks I was as warm and comfortable as can be on a frigid night. I was doing moderate activity and when I came inside I was warm, warm, so the product works.
