I've bought three pairs of these shoes. Very comfortable but they literally start falling apart after a month.

I run 6 miles at a time wearing these shoes. They are great. I have used them many times while running on trails with many puddles and they do a great job at keeping my feet dry.

Feels sturdier than my Timp 3s and Outroads. Solid waterproofing. The laces suck and they don't have a velcro spot for the Altra gaiters. I have about 50 hike/run miles on them so far.

I work in the pool industry, so my feet were constantly getting wet. With these shoes, at the end of the day my feet are mostly dry (they are pretty warm in the summer time, so they tend to cause sweating), and comfortable. These are my first pair of Altra shoes, but they won't be my last. I love the zero drop and wider toe box.

These fit perfect. I normally have to get a wide but the wide toe fits my foot perfect. All day comfort and breathable. Way cooler than other waterproof shoes I have owned.
Plan on getting another pair when these wear out.

I have other altra shoes including the lone peak. Got these for the colder wet weather. Cannot use them because they are NOT the original altra size toe box sizing. Very disappointed, horrible product.

Not even close to being the same sizing as the All Wthr-1. Good luck with sizing.

These shoes are as durable as leather but even more. I have bought this pair before and it is worth every penny.

My wife is in sports medicine, specifically, biomechanics of running. We have 3 active kids and I work 80-100/hours each week traveling for research, teaching, and helping care for patients with burn injuries all over the world. I needed something versatile, tough, and engineered for a 6'4" frame. Because of these constraints, there is more strategic analysis of footwear in our family than our retirement plan. The wide toe box facilitates the intrinsic muscles of the foot to splay and absorb impacts while the minimal drop helps avoid heel striking. This leads to increase proprioception while running or walking and less knee, hip, or joint pain. Most minimalist footwear feels like water shoes with a thin sole and minimal lateral support leading to bruising of the metatarsals on hard uneven surfaces and last about 500 miles (a month). Altras are very comfortable and this model doesn't let dirt or sand filter in as easily. I ordered khaki color and sneak them on with slacks and a button up to zip through airports and have a great pair of workout shoes on the road. I originally ordered size 15 and upsized to 16 because they felt a little small. This could be a function of wearing minimalist shoes and developing a wider toe box as opposed to a narrow forefoot that can result in hammer toes and bunions. I strongly recommend Altras. Our children, my wife (the ultra runner and athletic spirit animal of the family), and I are big fans of this brand and we all wear them. You won't regret these and no I don't get paid or free gear from Altra but I wish we did.

I'm a longtime Altra convert, having run my first ultra in the original Lone Peaks. Have probably now owned a dozen or more pair since coming across the brand a decade ago. Nothing fits or feels like their shoes!

I bought these for my husband because his favorite color is orange - turns out
these are his favorite sneakers. I just bought a second pair.

As I switch to natural, foot-shaped shoes for healthier feet, these felt great from day 1. I've worn them hiking in the mountains, for yard work, and around town - still comfy! They handle creek crossings without getting my socks wet. I've had extra wide toes since I was a little girl, and I finally found a pair of hiking / walking shoes that don't make my toes scream. Thanks!

Found this shoe excellent while hiking the Rockies. Like the wide feel and lower heel. Somewhat minimalist in design but plenty of substance to handle rough trails.

I think this is my fifth or sixth pair of Altras. I had the first several versions of the Lone Peak. I wasn't too happy with how floppy the soles were, and how fast they wore out.
So when the Olympus came out with the Vibram soles, I thought that was the right fix and that worked in certain situations, as long as it wasn't too wet out. Further, we have very fine trail dust that got through the breathable upper with the Olympus. My toes and feet were always dirty after a long hike.
Now with the Lone Peak, all weather, this problem is solved, no more moon dust on my toes. I've tried them out briefly in a stream crossing and they work great. The rock guard works excellent for climbing over lava and sharp rocks.

First time out the shoes performed great. The fit was snug but not restrictive after a six mile hike/run on rocky steep terrain. Probably need to swap laces as they are a bit short.
