Please offer these in reasonable colors. Most women don't want pastels and pinks. Give us the neutrals & earth tones we deserve. I'm moving on to a new shoe from a different vendor. Bummer.

While I love the feel of the shoes, the colors of the women's Altra Lone Peaks are consistently not to my taste. It would be great if there was a neutral option (tan, brown, cream, black, etc.) that didn't have random bright colors thrown in. Please consider making some neutral tonal colorways for the women's Lone Peaks. Not all women want "girly" colors. Thanks!

Holding off on buying a new pair because there is only one color option for wide width and it's essentially a bright white shoe. Theses are trail running shoes. They are not going to stay white for very long. I actually like the purple, but it doesn't come in wide width. It would be nice if two of the colorways came in the wide width. I like the purple, but could do without the logo being pink. The Lone Peak 5 Women's Balsam Green, Majolica Blue were great and so was the Lone Peak 6 Navy/Light Blue and Black/Green. Or even the All Weather Black/Blue.

And once again, there is only one color choice for WIDE. I will buy them even though I'm disappointed as the LP is my go to hiker.

I've been waiting on this shoe to come out, I love the 6's. After seeing them l'm disappointed. The colors are too bright and "girly." Please consider adding a more neutral color way.

Overall:
A great and versatile shoe for those tricky trails with uneven and unpredictable surfaces that is undermined by poor colorways. It preserves comfort, stability, and natural movement that only amplifies your time outside.
What this shoe does well:
This is my first time trying the low-top Lone Peaks, and I was quite impressed with the range of movement they offered while still feeling stable. My ankles hyperpronate (and I am very prone to rolling them), and the "Foot Shape" (extra wide toebox) in addition to the shoe's wide platform and extended sole past the heel, really do help my stability without feeling like a "support shoe" at all. The special features in this shoe do their job, and they do it well. The "MaxTrac Grip" is exceptional. I do a lot of running/hiking on rock faces and they have held up great and have given me an awesome grip on rocky/slippery surfaces (note: I have not tried them in heavy mud). I have never felt a sharp edge go through the shoe, something that is impressive given how low they are to the ground. The "Balanced Cushioning" is transformational in how I run/hike, and I kid you not: Altra's lineup has almost single-handedly reversed my plantar fasciitis. It feels a bit cooler and more breathable than the ALL-WTHRs, which I would not have noticed if I did not live in such a humid place.
What this shoe doesn't do as well:
While these are still great shoes, they are my least favorite from this year's Lone Peak lineup. I much prefer the "ALL-WTHR" for some of the smaller details of the shoe, specifically the heel-loop, the laces, and the loops that hold the laces in place along the top of the shoe (rather than this version's eyelets). However, the ALL-WTHRs have a weird sort of crease developing over the ball of the toe, which appeared only after a few uses. Once again Altra leaves everything to be desired in their available colorways for women. These shoes show wear extremely quickly with any dirt (an inevitability from spending time in their intended environment: the trail) due to the colorway. **It feels reductive and stereotypical to only offer women's shoes in such flamboyant and impractical colors.** I would just get the Men's for the colorways, but with the Altra FootShape, apparently the shapes are designed specifically for anatomical differences in Men/Women's feet and how we carry our weight.
Also want to throw in a note for the design team, as I work in footwear at a retail outfitter that carries Altra: I hear the complaint about the colorways (and other brand's colorways) for women multiple times a week. This is a well-established complaint that my coworkers and I talk about regularly. You will get so much of this missed business if you give women neutral colors.

I have 5 pair of the 6's that I rotate and guess I'll be stocking up on more because these new colors are so awful I can not even begin to imagine who was thinking what when they chose them. While comfort is priority no one wants a shoe that draws negative attention because of horrible color. Just wow guys.

I am a die hard LP fan and was SO EXCITED for these.. one run and now have blood blisters on both feet. Not sure why Altra feels the need to narrow the one shoe that people love for the width.. :(

I immediately sent these back because they pinched my little toe. I have had 3 pairs of the Lone Peak 6 in wide and I love them. I was hoping these would fit just as well, but they're visibly more narrow. Very disappointed! Please make the next version wider like the LP6. I wish I had stocked up before the LP6 was discontinued.

I wanted to get a new pair of lone peaks and the reviews were awful on the 6's for durability, so I decided to wait for the new generation. I won't be buying the 7's either because they are so UGLY. I hate the colors. Is it really so hard to make a sole foam that is not white? Does the black or blue dye cost so much more? The white only gets dingy with use, shows every gouge and chunk taken out from the trail and who seriously runs trails regularly with pastel colored shoes? At least the darker colors can be dusted off and still be presentable in public on the fly. You do have a dark blue but ruined it with light pink accents and the geriatric nursing home white sole. Get with it already.

I bought my first pair, in red (really red-orange) in January. It was the only color available when I needed them for a trip. I have worn them every day since—gardening, muddy trails, sidewalks, anything to get my 10,000 steps. (Not trail-running) II throw them in the washer when they’re dirty and they come out looking like new. A pre-teen gave them (and me) an odd look in the post office last week. I don’t know whether it was the color or the duck look. I didn’t care. They’re that comfortable.

Negative stars. I've ran hundreds of miles on all terrain types. Lone peaks carried me through my first 50K years ago, and I thought I could trust them to support my new Alaska endeavors. Their traction is equivalent, if not worse than what converse would be in mud. Mud packs into the tread and the shoes become USELESS. I looked like baby Bambi trying to walk up a slip and slide. I've never cared enough to write reviews but these shoes are a complete waste of money. I'm very disappointed, and covered in mud from crawling up and down the mountain. I was tempted to throw them off the top and go down barefoot. My socks would have more traction than these ice skates.

I use them for hiking and walking, they are very comfortable even though they are abit wide on the front, which might be good if you have wide feet. They also run a size bigger for me. I would still wear them just because of how comfortable they feel.
Note; This was a free product, I did not purchase this product!

I went to the store recommended by this website to try the Lone Peak shoes on and get professionally fit. I loved the look of the shoe, the shape of the footbed and toe box, and feeling of stability, but I need a wide width, which they didn't carry. They suggested I buy through the site since I'll get the shoes faster than if they ordered them.
I was excited to see a range of colors listed here - I wear a 2E and am usually limited to a small selection of style and colors (white or black, with the occasional beige). Except the only colors in a wide width are white and beige. The reviews stating that the shoes don't come clean sealed the decision not to continue with my purchase.
Look, those of us with wide feet are willing to spend money to be able to choose colors other than white, black or beige. Not just fun colors ('cause I love the purple and orange version) but also colors like dark blue, dark green, or a dark gray would have me returning to shop here.

I had to go down a half size. I wear 8 in other Altras and 8 was too big. 7.5 is just right. These have the very wide toe box you're looking for with Altra. The treads are really pronounced and grippy so these definitely seem like "outside" shoes vs gym shoes.

I purchased Altra shoes for the first time a month ago. I have worn them for running, walking and light hiking and my feet feel amazing. I never knew having a wider toe box and support where it is really needed would make such a difference. I will be buying more when I wear these out.

These shoes fit perfectly. I usually opt for the wide, but went for the medium B width. The color is okay but I really don't care about aesthetics just wanted a good walking / running shoe. I have custom orthotics that go inside and the support is perfect. I'm so happy that altra has stuck with its wide toe box.

I had the superior in 8.5 before so assumed incorrectly that the 8.5 would be the right size for these. They look a definite half or full size larger than the superior 8.5. Will send these back. May try this style again(both styles are v comfortable with ample toe space) or go back to the superior.

I am writing this review for my daughter. She bought and wore these shoes for her hike on the Camino de Santiago which was 500 miles. She never got a blister! Many people get blisters on this hike. I plan to buy these shoes soon as I am training for my Camino which I will be doing soon!

Lightweight and flexible, I enjoyed my morning runs even more with my Lone Peak 7 running shoes. Very comfortable and supportive, while still being stylish. I have already recommended to my friends!

I love the lightweight material, to me this shoes were extremely comfortable during a jog and trail walk. At first I thought the width was a little too wide for me but the more I kept going I realized how comfortable that made the experience. And how it was meant to be that way to allow a bit of toe spacing. The color I was sent was also so nice.

I can say that the updated version of this trail shoe seems to be a great option for those who love to explore the outdoors. The new seamless and stitch-less upper is a great addition, making the shoe both lightweight and durable, which is essential for trail running. The design is super cute and I love anything purple!
The outsole seems to provide the necessary grip and traction on any terrain, which is crucial for a trail runner. Overall, this shoe provides a comfortable running experience.
The design is an interesting aspect of the shoe, as it is wider and allows the feet to move naturally through nature, providing a more natural running experience. This feature makes me feel connected to the terrain beneath me.
Overall, the product seems to offer an exciting upgrade to an already popular trail shoe. The combination of lightweight materials, responsive cushioning, and excellent traction makes this shoe an excellent choice for anyone looking for a durable and comfortable trail running shoe and I highly recommend them!

I put these shoes on and loved them from the start. They feel fantastic I fit very true to size. The insoles are soft enough for comfort but so soft as to be squishy. One thing that I like the most is the front of the shoe is wider than my others and my toes really love that!

The perfect tennis shoes for those of us who love physical activity, running, walking, climbing whatever, these tennis shoes can withstand everything, they are all-terrain and help you maintain a good balance. Compared to other sports shoes these keep my feet dry free from extreme sweat and keep the foot cool. My nails are no longer a disaster as these shoes simulate the shape of the foot and protect me from strong impacts when running. Normally I have problems with stones that always get into the shoe but I don't have that problem anymore with these shoes Yay! Light, comfortable, soft and cushioned to keep the foot comfortable and secure. They're feels true size and true to width. They feel just perfect!!
