I stopped ordering from Altra when they made their sneakers narrow, including my beloved Torins. Desperately, I came back to the website because my torn plantar platelet and Morton's Neuromas were still bothersome not only for running, but daily exercise too, even with my orthotics. Reviewers compared the Olympus to the old Torin. These are a nice width, lightweight and feel cushiony and comforting. They do run small, so size up. I don't run as much as I used to, but plan on using these for work also and will get another pair when I can afford it. Price is quite high.

I have a wider foot so finding shoes can be a bit of a challenge! With Altra I can actually get my size and do not have to size up. They are super comfortable and allow my toes to move! Also, they are great support for my back. I can wear these all day and my back never hurt. With others such as Hoka and Brooks I have tons of pain in my back. One person complained they are "chunky". I feel they are cute and I've received plenty of compliments!! I plan on buying another pair just for back up. I 1000% recommend these shoes.

I have bilateral bunions and tailors bunions so the toe box on these are perfect! the cushion is amazing and great stability shoe. fits my orthotic inserts too without making me sit too high. get a 1/2 size up

I have loved these shoes so far. I have really hard feet to accommodate but these are good. I hope they last. The wide is wide. Remember that.

If you have a high-arch foot and any of its common problems, this shoe is a godsend.
Me, I've got chronically broken sesamoid bones; bunions; a hammertoe; and stress fractures -- all due to a high arch. My podiatrist recommended a shoe with "zero drop," and a width sufficient to accommodate toe separators.
Surprisingly, very few Altra shoes fit that bill. (The Altra Paradigm could not fit my high arch.) The Altra Via Olympus and the Via Olympus 2 both feature the "Original" Altra "foot shape," which is markedly wider than the newish, "Standard" foot shape of most Altra shoes. My Via Olympus also had ample height -- referred to in shoe jargon as "volume."
Because of my many foot accessories -- toe separators, orthotics -- I ordered my Via Olympus a size larger than my usual.
So far (about 2 weeks) so very good. This is saying a lot. It is difficult to find shoes that accommodate toe separators. Altra Customer Service was terrifically helpful.

Very roomy in the toe box, and with the laces you can make it as snug as you need. I wear toe spreaders and my toes still have room to wiggle! These are a great everyday shoe, I wear them to work and for walks. Maybe not the best running shoe, but I use them for just about everything and they're good to me. The cushion is comfortable and plushy too, great shoe.

I ordered a half size up from my normal sizing because of their recommendations. They are perfect! I love the cushioning! I have been having issues with my feet hurting me as well as my ankles. They have not bothered me since I started wearing them.

The white with blue and red has an old school charm! I would say these run a half size short but I’m keeping mine in my street shoe size. Super stable feel, unlike my not current Bondi, but also not nearly cloud- like. Still love them. And no tripping, unlike my attempt at new Bondi! I have added a small arch support and barest bit of heel pad since I have plantar fasciitis and need a little bit of lift. These seem to have no arch support otherwise. Oddly, these make my feet look small! (if you care about such things)

I have never found a shoe I can spend 12 hours in walking around a hospital that don't leave my feet tired and throbbing. To complicate it, I have weird shaped feet and neuropathy. These shoes have solved my issues with pain and my issues with tripping on my own shoes. Hokas (even in wide) squeezed the heck out of my feet and I tripped on them non stop. Thanks Altra for fixing my problems! I loved them so much I got my twin (who's also in the medical field) a pair too! :)

I've worn A LOT of Altra's over the past few years (3-4 pairs/year), and these may be my favorites! Very comfortable, wide toe box, and supportive. I have happy feet!

I got these. They are not the most flexible Altras I own but I like them a lot. They feel great on the feet.they offer a lot of stability with maximum cushioning. The cushioning is not soft as others have said, so I was skeptical at first. I found that the rocker works really well and there's flexibility at the toes. I use them for long distance walking and daily wear. I have bunions and did not feel them at all in these shoes.

Love these sneakers. Even bought a 2nd pair in black. I have a wide fore foot, normally wear a 10W in other brands but the regular width fits perfect with this styles fuller cut. Great cushioning under foot. I am not a runner, but wear them daily for walking and just around town. Podiatrist recommended Altra shoes with their zero drop as I walk on the outside of one of my feet and the zero drop takes the weight off the pressure point in ball of foot.

I absolutely love these. I've had two pairs of altras so far and these ones are my favorites. They have a lot of cushion and good alignment for my feet. I generally have a lot of foot pain in most shoes due to a foot surgery but these ones feel great.
