Amazing update! Peregrine 10 was too snug, hard and unforgiving, and Exodus Ultra just doesn't fit well. Enter Peregrine 13 with a perfect blend of solid stability, springy cushioning and beautiful fit. I've done everything from hiking to gardening to a gnarly 38mi rocky/rooty ultra in these and am super happy with them. They handle climbing/descending with ease and are fun on flats. Can even do road sections smoothly. This'll be my go-to shoe for anything up to about 50 miles. A smidge more width at the end of the toebox and they'd easily handle 100k-100mi races.

These newer model are a 10/10 improvement from the last peregrine model. They feel much more sturdy, the material can handle my long mountain trail runs, and they feel great on my feet. I was hesitant after my Peregrine 12 caused blisters, ripped in numerous spots and completely fell apart after 6 months of use. But so far, these are WAY better.

I purchased these shoes to hike in to (and out of) the Grand Canyon in May 2023. I'd been there before... but last time I wore hiking boots. During that trip, I realized hiking boots were overkill (and more weight than was really necessary) so the next time I went with the Peregrine 13 trail shoe. They worked great on the South Kaibab and Bright Angel trails, and there was only a couple times where I thought "eh, maybe the boots would have been nice." They held up well, were perfect for the steep grades, and never slipped. Sure, a little more ankle support would have been nice, but that's the difference between a boot and a shoe! They might not be appropriate in all situations, but I'll take less weight and bulk anytime I can. Oh, and while this isn't mission-critical, they cleaned up really well, too.

I bought this shoe one month ago and this pair made me turn into Saucony shoes. These are the most confortable, stable, light and safe trail shoes that I bought for the last 8 years (i tried 4 different brands) I am shopping for a second pair.

This new Peregrine is pretty much as close to perfect as any trail shoe I've run in. The last Peregrine I had was the 11, and it was fine, if a little stiff and heavy. The 13 is so much lighter, the upper vastly improved, more flexible, and with more give in the forefoot. The cushioning is the revelation here - it feels so much more forgiving and better cushioned, while still having the gorgeous stability of the rock plate. The traction is improved with the new lug pattern, and it still has the terrific lockdown for super technical trails. I've been running in the Xodus Ultra, which I still love for half marathon and longer trail races due to the incredible comfort of the dual density sole, but this is now my absolute go to daily runner for training runs on the technical, rocky, mountain bike trails in Northwest Arkansas.

Love love love this shoe for the trails. Great sole for traction, a bit larger toe box so you don't jam your toes, and the cushion is comfy

Fits true to size. Great shoe. I had switched to Brooks but was not loving their trail runners so decided to try these. Win!

I'm so happy that I found Saucony! I love this trail shoe. It's perfect for regular exercise walks, and performs great when I veer off-road. They seem very well designed and manufactured. Very comfortable and supportive in all the right ways. For me, these are far superior to other brands I've been wearing ie On Cloud, Brooks, Mizuno.

I absolutely have loved the Peregrine line from Saucony. Last year's version was pared down and I called them my forest slippers. The added cushion for the 13's are a game changer for me. I would only run about 10-13 miles in the 12's due to needed more underfoot as far as cushioning. I feel like now there's enough to tackle any distance. Can't beat the traction, and they dry quicker than other trail shoes I've had. I love how they fit in the heel, it gives a locked down sensation that I don't get with other brands without having to tie differently. Kudo's to Saucony for doing their homework and making positive improvements on the Peregrine.

I wear a size 6.5 in almost all the brands including Saucony. This 6.5 is too short and narrow. Otherwise construction and workmanships are fine

I use the shoes for trail walking as I am in my early 70's. I find the Peregrine 13's a bit wider than my 12's. I have a narrow foot and have had to put cork fillers in the toes even though I got medium width. Otherwise they are great. I think the laces tend to stretch a bit as the shoe loosens as I walk. I do about 50 km a week.

Great shoe for my hikes in Costa Rica. Very grippy tread for wet, rocky areas.

Bottom line - cushioned, fast feeling trail shoe with just the right amount of rock protection without feeling stiff or cumbersome. I have traditionally run in Size 8 for all my Saucony shoes and I've had pretty much all of them! I had stopped running in the Peregrine a few years ago when the Mad River came out - that particular shoe (sadly now discontinued) was THE Goldilocks shoe for me. It had a little wider toe box and just enough cushion with just enough trail tread on the bottom. Since my beloved Mad River isn't made any more, I decided to give the Peregrine 13 a try - reviews stated it was more nimble, more flexible, lighter and had a more spacious toe box. I will agree that the Toe box is more roomy than my Peregrine 9s (and my 7s and 8s before those), but is still not as roomy as the Mad River. The Toe area on the 13 is better, but I don't love it. I love the upper materials on the Peregrine 13 - lightweight and breathable. The tongue and heel collar are also pared way back from previous models, saving bulk and weight, which for me just felt cumbersome and unnecessary. The lugs on the 13 are nice as well - less aggressive than my older models, and these feel fine on my feet when I end up connecting trails together with paved stretches in between. I liked the tread/lug size and depth on the Mad River much better, but the Peregrine 13 is better than it used to be for sure, for my purposes. The laces are thin (as in not thick) which I love, but they are also thin (as in not wide). In my opinion the laces could maintain the same thickness but be made a tiny bit wider, to prevent the feel of them cutting into the foot when I cinch down the fit of the shoe. I LOVE the elastic band on the lace, for holding your lace ends in place, preventing laces from flapping around or getting looped on sticks and trail debris. The factory insoles are super cushioned and bouncy, and feel like they will hold up very well for the life of the shoe. So, although the Peregrine 13 isn't as perfect for me as the Mad River was, it's a solid shoe that may be improved for me if I try a half size bigger to try to gain that toe room.

Really like the shoe (13) and I liked the 12 too but that one is a bit too light for longer/technical trails. Sorry to say that neither the 13 or 12 are as good as the Peregrine 10 or 11 series, which was a great shoe.

These shoes are very comfortable and great for hiking! I love the 4mm drop, much better than hiking boots I have with a 12mm which is way too much. My only complaint was for me, I wish the toe box was a bit wider or more of a round shape. I had to go a half size up from my normal size since it was rubbing my outside toe since the shoe is a bit too narrow in the toe box.

Although I've only used this once for a 6 mile trail run, I can say I'm slightly deterred from purchasing a 2nd pair in my size. The bruising on my toes was painful so I recommend going up half a size but overall they did their job with stability and traction. My feet did get wet in the moist grass so I worried a bit about blisters but didn't get any this run. I'm planning on wearing thicker socks this Saturday so we'll see how it goes.

I like these shoes but had to add in a liner to provide proper arch support. I was looking fwd to the color being accurate like the website shows, but actual shoe color is more of a plum color vrs the warmer red shown on the website. I also got blisters on my heels wearing them the first time since they tend led to move around in my feet until I added the liner arch support.
