Odd fit on this....sleeves are baggy at wrists. Neck looks ok when completely zipped up but looks weird when it isn't with the flaps of the neck laying askew.

Bought this jacket back in February 2023 for wearing on the airplane on an upcoming trip. It has since been with me almost everywhere and is one of my most worn pieces from Arc'teryx. The coziness of the soft fleece right next to my skin has kept me warm enough without overheating me on cool days year round either as a standalone hoodie or a midlayer under another jacket. Definitely considering purchasing another non-hoodie kyanite!

This is one of my favorite daily wears from Arc'teryx! I use this almost every day, and it works well as a lightweight hoody to wear at almost all times, but when it gets colder, you can simply layer on other vests (Like the Atom Vest), or just throw on your Beta AR over it, and you are good to go!

I bought this hoodie few weeks ago. The material feels very soft to the touch. It stretches in all directions. Feels really comfortable to wear. It's well stitched and looks very nice. I would buy a size up if you wear your hoodie loose. I am normally 47/48 chest. XL was a bit tight so swapped it for XXL. If you have a flat stomach then XL would probably fit. Very happy with it overall.

Bought this a few weeks ago as a light layer to go under a rain shell and does the job perfectly. Only criticism is that the length was a little on the shorter side compared to other hoodies but not majorly.

I've used this hoody for the past two months for a range of activities from multi-day mountain trips in BC to camping with my family in California. Whilst scrambling in the mountains at 2,500m it was perfect when layered with a base layer then as the evenings got colder I wore a down jacket over the top. It was also great when sat around the camp fire on the beach and the Jungle colour means I can't be missed! The Kyanite Hoody is really low profile so there was no bunching of the material and the zippers lay totally flat so there are no pressure points. It also packs down really small into the hood for easy storage in a day sack. The hood fits under a mountaineering helmet if you need to shut out the cold from your head.

Felpa perfetta per la primavera e l'autunno. Leggera ma allo stesso tempo calda. Ottima quando dopo un trekking estivo in montagna arrivati in cima avete bisogno di quel leggero strato in pi per tenervi al caldo.

The Kyanite has quickly become one of my favorite Arc'teryx garments and my go to piece for a variety of conditions and activities. It is super soft to the touch, feels great on skin, and has impressive warmth while staying lightweight. As far as activities go, I have worn this climbing and hiking on multiple occasions and find that it performs super well. In terms of size and fit, I am 5'8" 140lbs and got a medium. I would say the fit runs a little smaller so if you're in-between sizes, consider going up. I wear small in a lot of Arc stuff but sized up on this one. This jacket is stretchy and is very comfortable to climb in. It doesn't pull up much at all when reaching overhead and stays below a harness without much convincing. A big thing I enjoy in my climbing jackets is the ability to pull up the sleeves comfortably when I'm actively climbing. This jacket has stretchy wrist cuffs and easily pulls up your forearm without being too tight. The hood fits easily over or under a helmet and fits comfortably without a helmet on, which I find to be rare. Sometimes hoods are mega large to accommodate a helmet or too small to fit one at all. This strikes a perfect balance. The material isn't too thick so it tends to breathe quite well on approaches or when the climbing kicks up a bit. If needing to layer, this jacket serves as a functional mid-layer without being bulky under a shell. My only minor bit of constructive feedback for the design team to make this even better would be to consider a small stash pocket on the chest for easy access while the other pockets are under a harness. All in all, this jacket is remarkably comfortable, well designed, and is one of my go to layers for anything climbing and just day to day use.

The fit is really awkward. Ths small is extremely short for the hoody, but it is standard for the jacket without the hood. Also tried the medium, the sleeve is too loose. End it up returning both small and medium and keep the Kynaite lightweight jacket size small.

Love all my Arc stuff - I also have a kyanite AR and the tech wool hoody. This fits and looks good BUT it has a really wierd smell that just doesn't wash out. Kinda plasticky - a bit damp maybe - not nice. None of my other Arcteryx (or other) clothes smell like this. Have washed it several times and always comes out still smelling eeurgh. Very strange.

I bought this jacket a month ago as a very light fleece/base layer for fast and light adventures. While it is very thin, almost alarmingly so when you examine it, it insulates effectively. I was shocked how much warmth this layer could add under a mid-layer or even light wind shell. Likewise, it is highly breathable, probably a side effective of how thin the fabrics are. The main thing holding this layer from a higher rating is it's construction. As I noted previously, it is very thin. I knew that going in, going as far as to examine it in person and buy it from a store. I have several other UL pieces of equipment, many of which have lasted 3+ years of active use in the back country. I actively babied this fleece while using it. I have yet to use it as a standalone piece in the back country keeping it sealed under some sort of shell (normally a gamma sl softshell due to mild weather). I have only used it as a standalone piece around the house, 90% of which has been nighttime readings on the couch or my bed which are very static and protected areas. Despite this, there's a pinhole puncture on the chest of the fleece, which is not a high abrasion area. I expected more durability for the cost, brand reputation, and use I've given this jacket. This might end up being the final straw that makes me look elsewhere for my "no expense spared" mountain equipment. I am certain there are other pieces of gear that would be more high quality, possibly for less. Sadly, this is the first piece of Arc gear I have gotten that has made me question if they're heading in a negative direction which fails their outdoors base. I justify the expense of Arc products with their performance and quality, and while this jacket has performed so far, it has low quality standards for the price leaving me disappointed and looking for a different layering solution in the future.

I've been a loyal fan of this item for years and make an annual purchase. However, this year, I noticed a noticeable decline in both the material quality and fit; the size is unusually larger than before. Additionally, the item now feels very uncomfortable due to the use of abrasive materials. One would expect that the high price would ensure top-notch quality, but it's disappointing to see this decline due to recycled materials deteriorating the quality while raising the price.
