Runs extremely narrow, does not break in. I even purchased shoe stretchers. To try and loosen them up. I religiously wear hookers for running, really wish the shoe was wide enough for my feet. It's a great shoe.

The Hoka Transport needs to be revised to have a wider toe box. Since it has a cordura upper (which is a stiff material), it needs to be widened to accommodate wide footed customers. Other than that, everything is good to go.

Love how easy the shoe is to put on and take off, perfect for airport travel. Bought these new and went strait into a 3 week European trip with a good amount of walking/hiking and they help up great!

Hoka understands the foot better than all other manufacturers. I say this after 50 years in the athletic footwear industry.

Bought these for a trip to Mexico City. Wore them everyday walking from 10-13 miles/day. Comfortable with great support.

Seems like Hoka is making their styles more narrow with each release. I normally fit better into wide Hokas but on occasion can get away with a standard width. These aren't close. Even wide Hoka's I've tried lately are way too narrow.

When the top Doctors recommended this Transport version for our unstable president, I said this may be the shoe for me under my present medication's. Bought one pair five minutes after seeing the news, received within two days of ordering and I wear them all the time. Stability has improved at least 90% for this 84-year-old.

I use these for everyday commuting and walking. Super comfortable and easy to get on and off. Would buy again! Only gripe is the lack of more neutral colors.

Literally zero break in period, size is true to fit, currently took a trip to New York City, and was looking for a good pair of walking shoes/hiking shoes, and these are it, the only reason why I gave it a four star and not a five is because the picture of the shoe does not Correctly reflect the true color of the shoe. In the picture, it precisely shows two different tones of color but in person. The colors are very similar just a different feel of the fabric on the top and side. Overall, I totally love the shoe, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a good pair of walking shoes that has some style to it.

Looked just like the shoe I was looking for to wear for work and winter but don't feel as comfortable as other Hoka shoes I've worn. Almost too plastic like and make noise when they flex (which drive me nuts lol). Last pair I purchased and still wear are the Mach 5. Gave them a week to see if they felt better but still the same. It's not bad enough for me to return them, just expected better comfort and quality.

I have heard great things about Hoka so I bought my first pair. I have wide feet (width is D) so I just buy 1/2 size up in athletic shoes and they fit perfectly for me. This pair was still a little tight, but I'm used to a short break-in period. So I wore them about 5 times but they are still too tight for me. This might actually be a good thing, as they retain their shape! But I let the 30 days pass before giving up on them. I guess they'll make a nice gift for someone.

Not very happy with this hoka, apparently cordura doesn't breathe and these are not "all day" shoes as feet get sweaty and uncomfortable. Also these run big.

I love Hoka and would have easily given these a 5 star review, however, there's a major (but fixable) flaw with the lacing system. They kindly include regular laces if you don't want to use the propriety boa system already in the shoes. BUT, if you want to switch, you have to physically cut the boa laces and can never use them again. They do have boa lacing systems that allow you to undo them without cutting them and use them again, if it turns out you actually don't like the traditional lacing system. I was bummed about this and had to return.

I have been wearing the Gaviota 5 for just over a year. The sole started to separate at around 10 months. Now at 11.5 months, it is hurting my fee to walk in so I ordered another pair of Hoka's. I purchased the Transport hoping for a bit longer lasting shoe, expecting the same comfort etc. from them. Not the case. I ordered the same size and EE wide width. At first try, I couldn't get my foot into the Transports. Once I completely removed the laces I was able to get my feet into the shoe, but the squeezing was horrible. When I stood up on them, I could tell right away that they were nothing like the Gaviota 5's. The cushion is way firmer, almost hard by comparison, and walking was painful due to the much narrower toe box. I did double check to make sure they both say EE, and they do. There is also the issue where the point is toward the center of the toe box instead of above the big toe like the Gaviota 5's. The Gaviota 5's are like walking on air. I haven't had a pair of shoes that didn't make my feet hurt for decades (I am 59). It is so nice to actually be able to think instead of having this horrible foot pain constantly and always having to sit down to do anything. So, for me, the Transport is too narrow, the point of the toe box is in the wrong place, and the cushion is just too stiff. I will order the Gaviota 5 again and hope to find another shoe that will not hurt my feet within the next 8-10 months.

I just think that the shoes are not flexible and very narrow, even if you get a wide pair shoes.

I have several pairs of Hokas , but these are the first ones that have been so tight around my foot that it hurts. I sure hope they stretch.!

I've had many pairs of Hokas and the Transport has become a favorite. Feels like a tamed down version of the Speedgoat but a firmer feel than my Clifton. I use them for walking, light trails and standing at work. I like how snug the top material fits to my foot and it looks great too. The bungee cord laces hold very well. The grip is fairly aggressive so if you only use them indoors, you may want a shoe with a different bottom sole.
