I love this shoe! I had the earlier version of the anacapa. All the little technical issues have been fixed. The wire rhin laces are gone as well as the plastic lace locks. The comfort of course is excellent. I love these shoes and will definitely be getting more pairs. My new favorite work shoe!!

Great trail shoe. Supportive, light, durable. Everything. You'd want in a trail shoe.

These boots are LIGHT, love the fit and feel is awesome. Laces are lightweight in order to keep weight down and dry fast. Style is very nice, overall way worth the price!

I wear these to work everyday. They look stylish and awesome at my desk and when I go to the flight line they look like work boots. They are light and airy for the gym as well. The little finger hook on the back is the best thing in the free world today for making it easier to put on.

Working on the farm.
Shoe laces need to be longer can barely tie a single knot when laced all the way to the top. I like to double knot my laces but can only do this by not lacing them by all the way to the top.

I had a complete Achilles Rupture in December, so I needed a shoe that would support my ankle really really well, while I heel up so these are what I wear. They are very supportive, and a great looking shoe.

My Gore-Tex Kaha hiking boots are perfect for the cold and snowy Winter months. Now with the warmth of Spring time, these non Gore-Tex boots are perfect! Already I have about 20 miles on them and love them.

Absolute best pair of boots I have ever worn. Law enforcement. On. Y feet all day and I have never owned a pair of boots that didn't cause foot pain. These have relieved my foot pains and have reduced my lower back pain tremendously. BEST PAIR OF BOOTS EVER.

I do a lot of standing this is a very comfortable boot. I'm flat footed and the extra sole provides a lot of support for standing long periods at a time. I would recommend buying a little bigger than size because they tend to run small. I wear a 12 and I tried a 12.5. I had to return them to get a 13. Other than that not bad.

This is my second pair of Anacapa's and third pair of Hoka's. I also have the Women's Anacapa Mid GTX but bought these men's Breeze in a smaller size to get the more breathable fabric for warmer months. They fit wonderfully. I have plantar fasciatus pretty badly in two spots - one just behind my arch and the other on the curve of my heel. Both of the pairs of shoes feel very cushiony and provide support around my heels and ankles with the locking laces so those portions of my feet stay in place while in the shoe. I have added the Dr. Scholl's Pain Relief Orthotics for Arch Pain to both pairs of shoes and it has helped tremendously with my arch and heel pain in addition to the amazing comfort of these shoes. If I didn't have foot pain issues, I likely would not need to add anything extra because the shoes are so well built and so incredibly comfy. I did take my Women's Anacapa Mid GTX on a trip to New York City and walked 20 miles with no issues. I highly recommend these shoes. Their return policy is amazing as well.

I bought the Homs Anacapa Breeze mid height about 6 weeks ago. They are a fair bit heavier and more restrictive than a full on low rise trail runner, but at the end of a hike my feet don't hurt like they did in other shoes. I'll be using this on my AT thru hike starting in 3 days. I tried these with a liner sock / wool sock combo, but the toe box is too narrow to do that comfortably, so I'll just be using the hiker socks going forward. If they could make this shoe with a toe box the size of the Altra Lone Peaks they would be perfection.

I have an amazingly long history with Hoka shoes. That history is overwhelming positive, however I have been disappointed a couple of times. I get worried every time I by a new model of Hoka shoes when I really like the previous model. It seems to me that there is an inconsistency from model to model. I started with the "Clifton" series. I had three pairs, then I hit the "Clifton 4." It was really different from the previous models (I don't know why I didn't send them back. I thought that my sense that they were different was my imagination...) Noticeably narrower, and ultimately the uppers deteriorated quickly. I only ever wore them in my house! I switched to the Bondi series. I have no major complaints with the Bondi's. My current Bondi 7's (I have a brand new pair in the closet) have served me well. The foam inside the pair that I currently have on is shredding. That's never happened before. However, they have many miles of indoor/outdoor walking on them, so there's that. I plan to get a pair of Bondi 8's soon. I have a pair of orange "Speedgoat GTX Low." I love them for walking in the rain. They're perfect (I sent the boot version back...too much orange.) I now have three pair of Hoka boots. I started with the "M Tor Ultra Hi WP." I bought them more as a fashion statement. I don't wear them much, so they're still like new. I like them a lot. Two years ago, I bought a pair of "Kaha" boots. I have used them when shoveling snow. I have Yaktrax on them for walking the dog when the sidewalks are icy. Love them! Based on those Kaha's, I bought a pair of "Kaha 2's" to have a winter boot for general outside use. I hated them. The color was not as pictured, they were much narrower, and the tongue was annoyingly short. I sent them back. I recently purchased the "Anacapa Breeze Mids," (after I purchased a pair of hiking boots from another well known hiking boot manufacturer. They were so poorly constructed compared to Hoka's, that they were on their way back less than an hour after I received them...) I decided to try the "Anacapa Breeze's," I was worried that these boots would hit me like the Kaha 2's. They didn't. I was torn whether to get the Breeze or the Anacapa GTX. However, I plan to do some recreational hiking this summer, and I was hoping that the Breeze's would be lighter and cooler. I have never had a pair of GTX shoes that don't feel hot. The Anacapa Breeze totally fit the bill. They feel extremely comfortable like the best Hoka's I've had in the past. They remind me more of my original Kaha's. Good ankle and arch support, maybe the slightest bit narrower. Crazy light and well ventilated. I liked the cosmetics of the gore-tex version better, but oh well. I have also noticed through my evolution with Hoka that over time the shoe strings that they are using seem a bit "cheaper." Hoka, please accept my criticism as the loving "pickiness" of a discriminating fanboy. Your shoes were originally recommended to me by a podiatrist. I love your shoes!

Wear them while maintaining athletic fields. My feet feel much better at the end of the day. Shoe strings are a little short though.
