I wore my original boots for 20+ years and they finally died. It was great to see that LL Bean still made the same style. I ordered my normal size 10 and they fit great. Yes, my heal does lift a bit but that is how they are designed, same as the original. The new boots are not quite as rugged and stiff as the originals but I'm sure they will be fine. Here's to another 20 years.

This boot is nice but I won't truly know how wonderful until snow hits. The size I ordered, 8M, was based on another pair of Bean boots that I had worn. These boots are a tad large in width but truly a smaller size would have been too small....... I think one extra pair of socks will take care of the size issue. This boot appears will made and it's soft on the inside.

The comfort is sublime, the craftsmanship superb, the fit perfect with my orthotics!!! Fantastic boots for Boulder, CO and living in a basement apt. shlepping out to the driveway/mailbox is a joy in these boots. Just wish that they came in an even talker shaft length~like 10 inches

These are still well made. This is the first time that I purchased the shearling lined. Not sure if I like the "thick" look of the boot shaft. They do keep my feet nice and warm. Hoping they use conscienceous farms for their products.

These are extremely comfortable, very stylish well made boots that work really well in slushy spring weather. They do run BIG. I read the reviews of that and ordered a size down and still have to wear very thick socks. Despite that, really great booties!!

This is such a classic winter boot and I was almost afraid that they had discontinued it. The brass buckle dresses it up a bit more than some of the other similar laceless boot styles that they carry. I typically wear a women's 9.5 shoe and the size 9 boot me fit very well wearing a thin sock with room for a thicker sock if needed. I love the slip on ease for around town errands, the supple leather, and the genuine sherpa lining. I am able to feel the internal seam connecting the leather to the rubber portion of the boot (hence my taking away one star). This does not make the boot painful to wear or walk around in and I am hoping the seam will soften a bit with time. I have not worn them through the winter season yet, but I am looking forward to it! Thank you L.L.Bean for continuing to make this timeless style of boot with the buckle.

I'm waiting to purchase the Women's 7" Shearling-Lined Lounger until LLBean brings back the boot in navy blue. My daughters wore these boots (tan upper with the navy bottom) all through their school years. They lasted forever! I love the classic look - Not liking the brown! Will that ever happen?

I'm usually a thrift store shopper and have never spent this much on a pair of shoes. I got these because I'm tired of my feet getting soaking wet whenever it rains or snows. These work great! My feet stay dry and warm. There is a little room at the top, but not too much. It's enough for me to tuck my pants into so they don't get soaked either. I expect the leather may get more stretchy as time goes on, but I'm okay with it.
My normal shoe size is 10W in women's. I read the weird sizing instructions but wasn't sure about ordering a smaller size. The boots are a little roomy on my feet compared to my normal shoes, but I don't know if the smaller size would be too tight or not. I'm keeping this pair though. If I ever look at getting a second pair for some reason or make it into an LLBean store, I may try a smaller size.
Another thing I'll call out is they aren't good for long walks. I tried it and my feet were hurting by the time I got back home. My sneakers are still better for that. These are good for doing errands or outside work like shoveling the driveway.

These shoes are super comfortable and warm. I should have gotten a smaller size but I didn't realize until I had worn them for a day. However I bought two sets of insoles and the fit is better.

I am a 9-1/2 street shoe and sandal - 10-1/2-11 in tennis shoes - 10 in walking boots although these run on the large side. I tried the 9 and they are too short so I placed shearing inserts in the 10's. They are slipping still in the heel but this may be common in this style

They do run large and I had to send back the first pair. I usually take a 6.5 and the 6 is still a little roomier than I would like. I bought the fleece insole which makes them very comfortable and a little snugger. They are nice looking and easy to slip on, which is why I wanted them. I don't walk any distance in them as they are wide at the ankle and will collect rain and snow, but they are perfect for running out to the store or to yoga class.

I tried to get this boot last year and it was sold out. Jumped right on it this year and was so excited. I love the look of this boots but the sizing is way off. I'm a size 7 in most but shoes but sometimes 6.5. I got the 7 medium and it was crazy big. Then got the 6 medium and it was crazy tight. Disappointed in the sizing. Going to try 6 wide although I have never done a wide before. Maybe that will make the 6 work.

I love the design of this boot and was glad to see it make a comeback; I frequently receive compliments when wearing them. I was concerned about the fit and the footbed not being lined with shearling. Right out of the box the transition seam around the ankle was annoying and stiff. I wore them around the house for a bit with a very thick wool sock and thankfully this did the trick pretty quickly. The ankle area is a bit wide but personally i think it's not anything to complain about and is intentional as it's a SLIP ON boot. I have skinny legs and ankles and don't find it uncomfortable with a sock and skinny jean. I've owned the traditional unlined bean boot and the tumbled leather shearling boot and am really enjoying the ease of NO laces and vintage feel of this design. I am knocking off one star due to the fact the entire boot isn't lined; that'd be the only thing I'd like to see changed. They've been great for cool rainy weather. MUCH cuter and more comfortable than my Hunter rain boots.

Since these boots are so popular I had to wait over 2 months to get them. I read the reviews carefully and ended up getting the correct size. I wear an 8 boot and a 7 1/2 shoe and ordered this boot in a 7. As other reviewers noted, the fleece is on the ankle portion and not in the footbed. Since I knew this, I had felted alpaca boot liners that I cut to fit the boots and they are nice and warm. Without a liner I think you may be disappointed with the fit and warmth. It is a slip on boot with a wide ankle area. They would not work in deep snow. For that you'd need a boot that laces. For walking my dogs in a 2-3 inches they are fine. As some reviewers noted there is a sort of loose feeling in the heel area if you don't insert a liner. I think that's because they don't lace up. Since being waterproof and being slip on were the most important things to me I am happy with the boots.

Beautiful boots. Was told they were back ordered until May 1st but I got them quickly. I take a 9.5 - 10.0 shoe and ordered the 10. They were very large. I returned them and am waiting for the 9.

I was finally able to wear these as we had some snow. They are extremely warm and comfortable in the foot area, however, one of them is tighter than the other around the ankle making it somewhat uncomfortable. Also, even with socks, I can feel the stitching where the leather meets the rubber on the back of my ankle.

I love the look of these boots. I order a size down because it said they run big. Well, a size down is still a size too big!

I love the feel but they are a bit too wide and a bit too big. It would be great if they came in half sizes.

I really like the boot but a wide seemed to actually be a regular width so I returned the boots and got some that are similar but lace up. Had to go with a 7 men's boot regular width. I love the quality with which Bean Boots are made.

These are beautiful boots, and I wish with all my heart that they truly fit. I ordered the size recommended by all the reviews and the L.L. Bean website. With no socks on, my toes still touch the end, and they are too narrow for my feet. I have minimal bunions. I'm going to try the size 8, and I hope that they fit!! Customer Service was very good. It's just the boots should accommodate a winter sock with toe room to spare.

I was so excited to receive my new boots. Not only had I found a wide version but they say they are shearling lined. I have called customer service in the past and specifically asked about the boots I was ordering if they are fully lined or just the shank. I was told that if it's only lined in the shank it will note that accordingly so I made the mistake of thinking because this description states "shearling lined", not shearling lined on the shank area, that I was getting a boot that was indeed as stated, shearling lined. That unfortunately is not the case. There is only shearling in the shank region. I do not wear socks and only wanted boots with FULL shearling lining. I have loved all my LLBean products and have boots that I bought years ago that are fully lined and I have worn them out to the point the sides are busted out but I still wear them cause I don't care what people think, I wear them for the comfort. I'm truly bummed this boot isn't lined as stated. I did try wearing them around inside but they are painful in several areas of my foot without the lining. I also added shearling inserts in hopes that would work, nope. Probably taking my older boots to the shoe shop and see if they can sew them back together or do something to repair them so my foot isn't peeking/falling out the sides making my foot get a little breeze. Sadly, LLBean doesn't carry the old style I have anymore. I gave the boots 3 stars for their quality but knocked 2 stars for the lack of clarity in the description that they are not LINED in shearling and only have shearling in the shank, which is not noted in the description as the customer service rep had told me in the past. Sighhhhh......sad. :-(

Had to send them back, your size chart said to order one size smaller. So I ordered a nine, my wife wears 10, they were to small, toes hit the end. Still waiting for the new ones to arrive. It's already 1/13 and no boots yet!

I usually wear a size 9 so I ordered an 8 per the instructions. Even the 8 still seemed a little roomy but might have been ok with thicker socks.
The design is lovely, the shearling is cozy, I wanted to love these.... but the seam where the top part of the boot connected to the bottom one one of the boots was just too uncomfortable, digging in to the back of my ankle. At this price point they need to be perfect. So, sadly, I returned them.

I loved these boots, however, the book was too big. The buckle didn't tighten tight enough so the book slipped on my foot when walking. Boot was not true to size.
