I loved the look but I am a solid size 9. I noticed the shoe said 9/40.5. My foot swam in these. So I exchanged them for an 8.5/40 and they are too tight. I decided that since they were a soft leather I could stretch them a bit, so I wore them. Big mistake. I now have a lovely pair of shoes to donate somewhere. The sizing on these shoes is waaay off.

These are great shoes and probably super comfortable for most people. Unfortunately, I have arthritis in my feet and must find a very special fit. These did not work for my arthritic feet.

This was comfy like a slipper. I need more support for my foot.

These are comfy. I've been looking for a soft, flexible, relaxed suede flat. This works. I will get a lot of use out of them. I ordered my smallish usual size and they are fine. Sometimes I size up and that wasn't necessary with these. They have a bit of a wedge heel in them so they aren't as flat as some flats I have, but they are comfy.

Soft suede, cushiony inside, great sturdy soles - they are true black and comfortable like whoa! Absolutely love these Born loafers. Can be dressed up or down. This is my 2nd pair.

I loved these shoes. Fit true to size however, run really wide. By the end of the day they were falling off my feet. Too bad I can’t return.

I originally ordered my regular size 8, which had sloppy room in the heel. The shoe seemed longer than an 8. So I ordered half size smaller. It was so small, I couldn't get my foot in. The "slipper" heels are not attractive.

I really like this shoe, but it runs large. I will be returning it for a 1/2 size smaller, I think that will work. It feels like it will be very comfortable in the right size.

I ordered these shoes a size to big so I returned. The shoes were amazing. I needed them for an event and they arrived a day early which was really nice. I ended up going to a local store and purchasing a cheap pair of shoes to get me through my event. I will reorder. Zappos is amazing and I will order again soon. Thanks to a great company.

I really like the way this shoe looks and Born is one of my favorite brands. However, it’s way too wide for me especially the heel. The left shoe had tighter elastic in the heel than the right one so it stayed on better. The leather is soft and comfortable and I really wanted them to work, but they are way too wide and sloppy to keep.

This shoe runs HUGE! My regular size is 9.5 to 10 - I ordered the 9.5, which was gigantic. I exchanged it for size 9, which incredibly was bigger than the 9.5. Not sure if I'm going to mess around with trying other sizes, so much effort. Too bad, the shoe is great - it feels comfortable, it's really nice suede & the brick red color is beautiful. But some quality control would be nice...

I was looking for dark taupe loafers, and these turned out to be a much much closer than taupe than pictured. They were a bit big, but i would be wearing them with socks so I thought they would do. The problem was quality: I noticed something scratching the side of my foot, and found that the right shoe was literally coming apart at the seam.

These shoes arrived in a squished box and the shoes were wrapped in old, crinkled up paper. They looked dirty and had obviously been worn and carelessly returned to Zappos…and then sent to me. No thank you Zappos.

I love those shoes. They feel so soft and comfortable. However, I am disappointed because the right shoe ripped after I wore them about 3 times. I will return them.

I wanted to update a previous review - I ordered this shoe in size 9.5, my typical size. It was huge, I exchanged it for a size 9, which was still way too big. I exchanged it for a size 8 - it would have worked fine, except for the elasticized tucked feature in the heel. The right shoe was fine, but the left was so tight, it was pinching too badly after wearing the shoe a half hour. Sadly, I will need to return these too. The shoe is really pretty, I got the brick red suede. It just won't work for me unfortunately.

I got the brick red, it's a very nice color. I think if the sizing was correct, it could work nicely. I will post again after trying the size 8 -

First, these looked a bit clunky and long in person (the toe section is slightly angled, looking at bit fairy-taley, which is not my style but might appeal to others.) If they had been comfortable, I could have lived with that. But, they were a little narrow (I'm usually fairly tts medium width) and with that elastic at the back, they felt too tight. They also had a huge bump in the insole for arch "support" but what it really did was just press up into my arch awkwardly. It even kind of pushed my foot to the side a bit. I ended up with sore feet after just a couple of hours of wear. I am thinking of changing out the insoles, which I would have to unglue somehow) to try them again since I wore them and now can't return. If you have quite high arches and need support, these might work for you!

I really loved these shoes when I got them, the fit was great, and they were very comfy. I was disappointed that they started to fall apart after just a few months of light wear, they began to pull apart at the seams. The top part of the shoe and the side/back piece is glued together instead of stitched, so naturally they started to fall apart rather quickly. I expected better from this brand and this price point.

The tops of the heels are gathered which makes the backs look sloppy. The shoes fit like house slippers...very loose with zero support. My order came in an unmarked large cardboard box and the shoes, stuffed with some tissue paper, looked like returns.
