Once again, Born designs a beautiful shoe that should be super comfortable but it is way too narrow in toe box. Born really should offer Wide and Wide Wide sizes if they are going to continuing with these toe binding shoes and label Medium. I love Born but they are really annoying me with this random sizing.

No room for my long toes and overall tight....and I have a narrowish foot. Haven't been able to wear Born since Kork-ease acquired them and changed the last. Too bad. Used to be one of my most reliable brands.

Since I go between an 8 and an 8.5 in shoes, I ordered both sizes to see which would work. The 8’s felt tight but the 8.5 seemed much larger than a half size bigger. The heels actually slipped. So I decided to wear the 8’s around the house to see if the got loser and sure enough they have, so I’m happy I kept them as I love they style and cushiness. Just an fyi, I ordered the tan but the color looks much different than the picture. I see no tan, the color looks chocolate brown with a hint of black.

These are SO comfortable! My feet are wide in the front with a narrow heel. Very challenging to find enough room in the toe box without my heel slipping. But these fit the bill. I bought my usual size. They are snug enough to wear barefoot but also fit a medium thick sock. The cushioning is phenomenal - lots of squish and gives that feeling of pushing back when you walk. Maybe not for everyone but for me at age 61 it's exactly what I need. I gave only 4 stars for style, because I would have liked a little chic metal on the vamp. At the end of the day, comfort wins out.

I run between a 9 and 9.5 in most shoes, but for Born shoes I’m pretty steadily a size 9. (For my walking and hiking shoes I am buying 10s now to allow room for good socks and swelling feet when I cover a lot of miles.) I purchased these in a 9, Burgandy I, and they fit well. I like the style - retro classic loafer style but with the chunky sole, an easy way to update part of my wardrobe. I am looking forward to wearing these with different styles of jeans and trousers.

The shoes are beautiful. I nearly always wear a 6.5 or 7 in Born but needed to go up to a 7.5 in these. The 7's I originally ordered were very short. These are a beautiful classic penny loafer with a modest lug sole. Just what I was looking for. I've also been having difficulty finding shoes that work on my left foot as I have Hallix Ridgidus but these seem to work so far.

I received both the dark brown and the burgundy in this style because I wanted to see them in person to choose which I liked better. The dark brown was very dark. The burgundy was beautiful, rich, and surprisingly neutral. They fit very well. I think they will take a little break in period, which was not true of my very old Born loafers I am replacing, but the style of these overcame any slight discomfort breaking them in. Born rarely disappoints, and I'm sure I'll be wearing these for many years to come.

After reading reviews I opted for size 9, which is supposedly equal to Euro size 39-40. I used to be a consistent 39 but in recent years I've had to size up to 40 occasionally. Unfortunately the 9 was way too long so I returned it but would've exchanged it for 8.5 if that size were available in black, but it wasn't. The shoe is beautiful, a classic-looking penny loafer, and the leather is soft. BTW I have very wide feet (another reason I opted for size 9) and the width was no problem whatsoever.

TTS. Loafers fit perfectly though the color is much darker than what appears in the photo. Very dissappointed.

I'm obsessed, 5 stars. Wearing them right now, in fact. They were comfortable right out of the box with good arch support and cushioning. I'm a true 8 and occasionally a 7.5, my width is just above standard so wide sizes don't work for me and standard widths can trend narrow. These 8s are just a tad snug in the toes with heavy socks but I'm sure they will stretch with a bit of wear. The lug sole is a nice middle ground between a standard loafer sole and a high-fashion high platform, the color is fantastic and very sophisticated. I've been looking for a pair of supportive, ortho-adjacent lug loafers for almost a year and bought these on a whim after liking a pair of Born boots. I'm so so so happy I did. Excellent shoes, can't praise them highly enough. Looking forward to getting more Born shoes when the need arises.

These came and were super comfortable right out of the box. The heel is perfect and met my arch just right. They do feel a half size big. I am normally a 9.5 and I think I will be better suited for a 9, bc they slip off the heel. Unfortunately there is not a 9 in stock.

The footbed of this shoe is fantastic. I just wish I could get the correct size because these are just what I wanted. I tried the 8.5 and my heel slipped so badly there was no way I could try to fix it, but then the 8 was too tight all over. I may have kept them and worn them with thick socks around the house to stretch out but the pair that was sent looked like someone wore it for a while- dirty soles and sides - yikes! Not used to seeing that with Zappos shoes. Might need to work on quality control there.

I thought these looked very unflattering on my feet. I wear a 6 or 6.5. And it slipped on the back of my heels.

The fit was perfect, true to size, good width and room in the toe box, and comfy right out of the box. The catch: You can’t wear these without socks. The cushioned foot bed is covered in a slippery material that loudly squeaks with every step. I had to return these for that reason.

I usually wear 8.5 C. Unfortunately, this model offers only medium width and size 9 was sold out. I tried regular size 8.5, and they were a little tight on me. So I returned them.

Comfortable once on but stiff in the heel and hard to get on. Good looking, nice color but not quite the red I was expeccting.

I first purchased these in my normal size 7. They were very tight. So, I ordered them 1/2 size up. They were very loose in the heal and slide terribly. Sadly these are going back too. They are cute and have a nice cushion to to them but unfortunately, the fit of the shoe just doesn't work for me.

I never take larger than a 7.5. Couldn't even get my feet in them

I don't like spending this much for a pair of shoes....but this shoe is exactly what I wanted. When trying to decide what size to order, I checked my old Born shoes, and realized how long they had all lasted. I'm still wearing every pair I ever bought, some of them at least 20 years old, and all showing very little evidence of wear. So, 5 stars and happy with the price. About the size--I wear a half size smaller in Born shoes. Some can be a little stiff and tight when new, but being leather and unlined they stretch.

The size is true to my size, albeit a little tight but I think they’ll stretch with more wear. They’re super comfortable. Highly recommend
