Good shoe. I personally like the NovaBlast 2 better - I think it has more cushioning for me as a heel striker and it's a more comfortable ride than the 3. BTW I am a heavier runner (+190 lbs) so I like more cushioning and it's better on my legs than the 3. However, still a good shoe and I am glad that I bought it.

I purchased this shoe thinking it would be a good training shoe for long-distance. I ended up getting injuries on the inside of my knee. Was comfortable in the run, but afterwards the pain started.

Feedback from heel to sole is terrible With the amount of cushioning I feel like I'm doing more work. Did anyone at Asics try to run in these themselves? Wasted my money on these that I will never buy again

Very disappointed. I purchased the road-tested version of this shoe. Despite Asics' representation that the soles on all of their road-tested shoes would have little to no wear, the soles had excessive wear on them.

At first, I thought the NovaBlast 2 were the most comfortable shoes ever. My usual shoe is the Cumulus, which I've been wearing for over 10 years, but I found them to be getting tight in the forefoot. I run marathons and weekly training is around 35 - 45 miles. I liked the 2 so much I ordered the NovaBlast 3. Unfortunately, I started to develop hip pain after logging around 200 miles in the NovaBlast 2. I didn't make the connection to the shoe until I noticed that my inner foot was dropping (sinking upon impact). It was like the cushion gave way under the inner side of my foot. This doesn't happen in the Cumulus or any other running shoe I've used. It's not a stride issue or anything like that. After a few weeks of no running to let my hip heal, I started running again but only in other shoes. Hip issue did not come back. Of course, eventually I had to try the NovaBlast 3, which I only used once when I first received them. I thought it may have been a flaw with only the one pair. Nope. Hip pain started coming back and I noticed once again my inner foot was sinking. My wife even notice that my foot looked odd while running behind me. Threw both pairs in the garbage. These shoes seem to work fine for others, but not me, which is too bad because they are comfortable. It's more important to me that I run without pain!! Wish I had kept them for a photo, you could actually see they were tilted inward.

Just run in it once (9 miles) but I already have a black toe nail. But they feel fast but tight (I chose the right size)

Bought one pair of these and loved them. Purchased the exact same pair in order to rotate and clearly something wrong with the foam. Toe box completely collapsed inward after less than 30 miles. Wrote to customer service and got zero help. Switching back to New Balance.

bought these for daily training and I'm really disappointed in the cushioning provided by the midsole in the forefoot. There is a lot of pressure placed on the big toe with little cushioning underfoot in that area. When im running i feel very significant pain in the ball of my foot by my big toe that worsens throughout the run. I've never had this issue with any other shoes. I tried contacting customer service about the issue, the person on the phone was dismissive and unhelpful. Ive read many similar complaints about the forefoot in these shoes

After reading all the positive reviews I was very excited to order a pair. Turned out to be a total disaster. The fatal problem with these shoes is the form they use at the bottom is too soft. As a result shoe box bends too easily and can not protect you toes. If you are a casual runner, jog slowly and have short stride, maybe it is okay. But if you care about your speed and want to develop the proper running form, these shoes are not for you. When you extend your hip and roll your weight and release the shoe at the tip, all the force will be squeezing your toes and they will start to feel painful quickly. In comparison the shoe box of my Nike vaporfly is much more rigid, hence can provide the proper protection. No wonder the Nike vaporfly is one of the most popular models among elite runners. Back to novablast, I got the feeling the product developers at asics are not real runners themselves and do not really know what they are doing. Additionally for the pair I got, the tongues on both sides are too long, and the right side is longer than the left side. Bad product quality control.

The toe box feels nice and wide when you first put the shoes on, but while running, is quite constrictive. I had to shelve the shoes after 3 runs .
