I’ve always worn Birkenstocks for some reason women’s sizes are now shipped as an arrows I do not want Narrows I want the regular wide fit of the old Birkenstocks

I automatically sized up to a 37 in these from my usual Birkenstock sandal 36 to accommodate medium to heavy socks. Plus in the sandals the width is adjustable and of course in shoes it isn’t. I also loved that Zappos had these in the regular width, not just the narrow which is now becoming standard for Birkenstock even on their own website. Anyway, the graphite color is terrific, and after wearing them twice I already have some interesting scuff marks that are just part of how they wear. These come with two sets of laces and I like them both. And of course the delivery was excellent! I have learned to go to Zappos first.

I loved these shoes as soon as I saw them, and I searched around to find them. Of course Zappos has them! And the graphite color I wanted, which is sold out elsewhere. And the regular width that I wanted, which is also sold out elsewhere. They came right away and they fit wonderfully. I’ve already worn them. As the description indicated, this leather scuffs up with every wearing, and to me these are like smile wrinkles on a beautiful old face.

I love my Birks. Whether it’s sandals, clogs, or the Bend Low sneakers, I’ve always been the same size and able to wear them blissfully right out of the box. Unfortunately, as much as I wanted them to, these boots missed the mark. Even without socks, they were nearly too narrow to get on and then they squeezed my foot. I could even feel the metal from the lace hooks digging into my foot. I immediately took them off. I don’t think a bigger size would have worked either. I sadly decided to immediately return them.

I have this boot in brown, same size, and love them; however, the gray were significantly smaller.

Really cute but too short. Returning.
