As soon as I put them on, they felt incredibly comfortable on my feet and ankles. I have very finnicky feet and finding a boot that doesn't aggravate my sore spots is so difficult. I didn't need to break them in. The toe box is more open, not necessarily "wide", but it gives your toes more room to be toes, which I need because my toes are literally the Bane of my existence. The soles give me more "bounce" to my step, so I feel like I don't have to put in so much effort in my steps (if that makes sense lol). They are so easy to take on and off...a lot of these boots are a pain in the butt to take off after having to lace them up tighter than a corset. I had my husband and best friend stomp on my feet to test out the safety toe and it was amazing! I didn't feel a thing! XD All in all, this is a very well made pair of boots. I'm looking forward to having these for a long time and getting more in the future. P.S. The fact that they come in black makes my little goth heart so happy. :D

I came to this website and found this work boot because the other brand I wore discontinued my favorite go to boot. So this is the first time ordering from Zappos and first time trying these KEEN work boots. Both are fantastic! Quick shipping. The boots are the best fitting shoe ever (and I've worn several other big name work boots in the past). There is no break-in. They just fit comfortably the first time. The soles are not rock hard like some of the other brands. Instead, they are compliant to conform to irregularities in the floor or ground. Kneeling while flexing the boot is easy. The soles do say "Oil & Slip Resistant". The laces are thick so they don't cut your dry cracked hands like some other brands. It's easy to slip your foot into and out of the boot, and when laced up it feels like a part of you. The well thought out boot is also well made.

The size was spot on, no discomfort in taking off or putting on the shoe. Slightly raised arch area to provide comfort in the shoe. The support for the arch is phenomenal. Much better than expected. True to both size and width. Overall I wish there was more padding around the foot of the shoe, but it is still a very well made boot. I would recommend this boot to at least try out. It feels already broken in to fit my foot as well. Well made and feels great -JF

I like the waterproof function of these work boots, but they don't breath very well, so even in a dry environment, they make your feet sweat pretty bad, and thus are always damp. My best remedy to this, is to get 2 pairs, and switch them out every other day, so they get a chance to dry out between work days, at they'll last longer, and so your feet aren't rotting in them from long days of walking on concrete. Otherwise, they're GREAT boots! The lighter, thinner, composite-toe shoes that breath better don't offer the same support, so I've gone back to these; and am about to buy my third pair.

These Keens are a typical fit and feel for the Industrial line, but the composite toe are a must for working around metal detectors. They don't tend to breath as well a we'd like to see, but they are more waterproof so that's the trade-off. The piece is a bit steep, but Keen boots tend to last a couple years, so they're a great option. These ones with the reflective tape look super sharp with black or gray pants. They may take a couple weeks to break in, but once they do, you'll love them!

The boots are good but as for the size, I ordered my size, and they were small, in everything else I recommend them, they are super good for work.

KEEN shoes very good

Worked two 10 hour days right out of the box. Boot fits great. Comfortable. Feels like they were mostly broken in already. My feet were not sore at all

First time i had bought a boot style shoe for working at amazon, was worried they would be uncomfortable to move around, but was pleasantly surprised that they were almost invisible to me while working, they were on the slightly heavier side but after a week or 2 they became unnoticeable

Overall, a good quality boot. love the toe cap and hardly any break period. Boot is waterproof, tried and tested

I’ve been wearing the regular Pittsburgh’s for over ten years and I love them, but these have a different sole and gave me a lot of back pain when walking on concrete for a whole day. Quality is good, but they just don’t work for me.

Best shoes out of box. Went with wide even though I don't necessarily need it but the extra room is great and they aren't super wide. They also don't look goofy on the foot like some other boots. I would say there was maybe a 3 day break in period for around the ankle to get comfortable. But no blisters on heel. I previously had Timberland Pro sawhorses and the toe box just get too cut up for me working on my knees. These Keens have a nice rubberized toe that minimizes scratches. Very happy and would purchase again so far.

Nice boot comfortable

Had these for two years now they are still going strong. Keep my feet warm and dry and they are super comfortable.

The fit was perfect for my left foot, however due to an military parachuting accident many years ago left my right foot just 1/8" longer than my left. I will need to return because of this. The boots were lighter than I expected and felt supported in the heel. They are not made for a long hike with gear, but will definitely protect your feet in an industrial or warehouse type environment.
