The materials used in the shoe are very poor and like nothing I've ever experienced from AE (I have 11 pairs in my closet). I'm am extremely disappointed in this purchase. I hope this isn't a new direction for AE - using second rate materials and passing them off as new and innovative.

I got a lot of compliments on this shoe first day I wore it at work. Took a few days to break in. I have seen a lot of reviews on fit. In my experience is that the fit runs pretty close to adidas/nike sneakers.

The Allen Edmonds Alpha lace up casual dress sneaker is not only stylish, the leather is soft as butter and really comfortable. I only wish that it was able to be recrafted. This sneaker is not only superior in value to the other "high end" brandsfor me they come with the Allen Edmonds commitment to service excellence as well.

A really high quality shoe with detail and top of the line materials that stand out. The quality of the leather, stitching, and manufacturing technique are apparent once you hold the shoe in your hand.

I have bought 3 pairs of this same shoe. Of my 14 pair of Allen Edmunds, this is one of my favorite.

Very disappointed with the black Alpha tennis shoes. I had purchased the grey color a couple weeks ago and wow, awesome shoes. The grey shoes came with shoe bags and an extra pair of grey laces in addition to white laces on the shoe. I ordered the black color based on the images on the site, depicting a beautiful smooth black. Cut to unboxing the black shoes. My heart sank as I looked at them, some grainy black "pleather" was used in the shoe I received. No shoe bags and the shoes looked as though they had been used and returned. Shoes were not laced on uppermost eyelet this was due to misalignment of the hole in the upper with the actual eyelet. Some of the eyelets on one side of the did not align with those on the other side causing bulges where there was misalignment. I compared these with my white and grey Alphas. I can't believe the black shoes were even crafted by the same company.

This is a goto for me in the summer, casual enough for daily wear but also dressy enough in the event you want to throw on a blazer for a nice casual dinner.

Love these shoes. Comfortable right out of the box.

This is my third pair of Alpha sneakers. They are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in years and they are appropriate for almost all occasions. I recommend them highly and without reservation!

Very comfortable shoe right out of the box, well made, and stylish. True to size I wear a 10.5 fit was perfect.

These are very cool shoes. I definitely like them. They are comfortable enough for a night out or walking around during the day. I wouldn't plan on going for extra long hikes with them, but for looking cool and feeling comfortable, they are a good choice. As for sizing, I ordered these 1/2 size larger than normal and I am happy I did.

Honestly, probably the best shoes I've ever owned. Incredibly comfortable, and the wide toe box helped me realize just how cramped my feet have been in regular sneakers. Foot pain has been going away. Toes even look better.

Extremely stylish product. I very much prefer it to the white leather courtside sneaker. This product has a more sleek toe box, and the leather accents really compliment the product. Little slipping in the heel, even in my regular size, but they are very comfortable.
