Grading on shirts and the sleeves were huge. I was very disappointed and will not be wearing the shirts.

LLBean used to make the best T-shirts, bar none. Now, a white shirt is not even white but cream-colored. Even replacement was same.

Completely mis-sized. I got a medium and it's loose on a friend who wears a large.

Nowhere close to a "tall" size. Shrunk when washing as well.

LL Bean tee shirts that I bought in the past year or so do not absorb sweat at all. LL Bean tee shirts are now like wearing a rubber shirt. The sweat simply clings to the inside fabric and is very uncomfortable.
FYI..in the past ten years or so I've purchased at least 20 of these shirts and the most recent version is terrible.

They don't fit right. The cut is wrong for me, and neck too tight in front. Won't buy any more.

These are expensive for T-shirts and the fabric is heavier than typical discount store products. However, the one I received had a small defect in the shoulder that has turned into a small hole. This will of course result in a ruined shirt after it is washed. Sorry I bought it.

I probably have 8 or 9 of these t-shirts and almost all of them have lost elasticity around the collar. They look awful!! They are of varying ages, but all doing the same thing. The first LLBean product that I have been totally disappointed with. For the premium price I expected better longevity. I am in the process of replacing all of them. To quote from the email I received today "We've tested and retested these tees in our labs, so you can depend on them season after season". Maybe 1 or 2 seasons.

These t-shirts are comfortable, but after a few washings the will collars lose their shape and become unsightly. Look at the photo I included with this review.

My t-shirts needed an upgrade and I really liked the colors offered by LLBean, but these shirts are both poorly constructed and poorly sized. The seams at the shoulders threaded after a few times through the wash, and the fabric gathers at the neck. It certainly doesn't shrink, but unfortunately, that only makes it worse. The sizing is off significantly. If you fall on the lower end of the medium size range, expect the seam at the shoulder/sleeve to drape a quarter inch past your shoulder and the length to fall well past your hip. Downsizing doesn't work, either, as the small is too short at the shoulders. They make nice sleep shirts, but obviously not what I was expecting.

Neck way too small and I do not have a large neck. Literally made a mark it was so tight.

Nice material and tee shirt but the neck was way, way too small to the point it was cutting into my neck and I do not have a large neck.

This was a great t-shirt for about a year, but then the neck became so stretched out that the shirt looks extremely sloppy. Hope LLBean can fix the problem because the material is great, and the size works well. (Also hope at some point that they bring back Bering Blue.)

This is not 100% cotton. It has been treated with some unidentified chemical. Does not have the feel of real simple cotton. Very deceptive advertising.

This tee was not up to LL Bean usual standards. The material was heavy, wrinkled easily, did not feel smoothe (it felt rough) and generally came across as a cheaply made tee. It even started to fade after one washing.

Bought three grey XL-Tall. I've worn LLB t-shirts for a long time, and didn't pay much attention to the reviews. Error on my part. Whatever they have treated the "100% cotton" fabric with (I'm guessing some kind of teflon, but who knows) makes them behave like some kind of water-impervious synthetic. I guess that's what "carefree" means. It's like wearing a rain jacket with nothing underneath. The treatment has not washed out after several washings. They absorb no water at all or even allow it to pass through. For any activity more strenuous than maybe sitting around on a cool day, I wind up basting in sweat. I layered one of the shirts in the sink and filled it with water. Two hours later, no water had drained out, and the fabric was still dry. I'd donate them to goodwill but I don't want to pass these on to anyone. They won't even make good rags as they absorb no liquid. Trash time. Too bad; the old ones were good shirts.

I live in LL Bean's Tee with Pocket...winter, summer, spring, and fall. The last order I received of two charcoal and two gray...something has changed with the fabric. These shirts caused some kind of contact dermatitis and caused me to itch to the point I couldn't wear them. I'm returning these today. However, I can still wear the tees that purchased in the last five years plus. They are comfortable, soft and cause no problems. Please go back to the previous fabric.

In an over zealous attempt to make the shirts more wrinkle free, you've made them so uncomfortable. The fabric has a polyester feel to it that I can't stand. Time to try a different brand, even if it means a higher price. You might offer both the old and new versions to get some of your old customers back.

Faded a bunch on wash, handled carefully with drying per directions, but alas, it looked like the proverbial TV commercial "bacon neck"--ugly, rumpled and wavy like the tee had been stretched out by some unusual process. A different color was backorderd and I canceled that. I sure doesn't want any more of these crummy tee shirts.

Gave some LL Bean shirts a try, they are quality, but the fit is not flattering for a slimmer athletic build.
