Love the jacket. It's perfect for walking the dog with all the pockets for treats & bags. Great to layer for colder temps. The only down fall of the jacket is the white fiber fill coming out under the arms & all down the sides. Not a very good look for the jacket. Very disappointing. I think LL Bean should stand behind this & find a solution. Even a lint roller won't take it off.

I love this for layering! Its great at keeping wind out and has a little bit more relaxed fit. If you want a fitted look I would size down. I have a 5'9" wingspan and the small covers my arms very well. The hood is really deep. I can wear a high bun and my face is still protected from the rain. I love that it is soft and warm while still repelling water. It is not the same as gortex but most water will bead up on the nylon. Would not wear alone in a downpour. I wear it almost everyday because it is as comfy as a sweatshirt. It looks and feels great clamming, squidding or even on an airplane. It washed great in the machine. I wook a star off because there was a couple of loose threads. One around the cuff and one inside on the quilting.

I had several of these long ago that I used for work and outdoor activities and loved them. This one is not as good quality-wise as the insulation is thinner. I just hope it's warm enough and would like something other than black. Not gaudy colors, but royal blue, burgundy, or dark green would be nice. I love anoraks and have 3 or 4 uninsulated ones. Glad Bean is carrying them again!

I normally wear a size small but I ordered a size medium because I like a looser fit when it comes to jackets/sweaters. While the length is perfect the width is huge. I was a little sad to see they do not offer free returns. If you are looking for a looser fit I would recommend still ordering your normal size.

This will be good for fall and early winter in the south. I originally ordered a large that turned out to be too big all over. I think "slightly fitted" means through the hips. I do don't have big hips, so it wasn't a problem. Shipping was a nightmare, but that's a different issue.

A great pullover jacket for the fall. I can layer a T-shirt and lighter sweatshirt underneath. I would LOVE a version of this that was even more heavily insulated, as I am always cold. I was a little chilly in low 50s temperatures without any sun, but probably would have been fine in the same temperature on a sunny day.

I really loved this jacket, but hate that it is only a 1/2 zip. It is so annoying to put on and take off, especially is you have layers on. It would be perfect if they had just put a full zip in. I am returning this and will look elsewhere for another insulated coat. I am keeping the Mountain Classic Full-zip jacket that I purchased along with this jacket.

Great spring/ fall, all items I received run big... get at least 1 size down. Thankfully I was able to shrink the sweaters in the dryer.

I bought an Anorak women's 20 plus years ago from LLBean. It was an XL in blue greeen color. I still have it! The new one is smaller in size Dissappointing as harder to get over head. Why just 2 colors? Brighten this nice jacket up!

I wanted this to fit like photo, with description "Falls at hip." Instead, the front hem is below my crotch and the anorak completely covers my butt. Since it's pretty much a straight, boxy cut, this means less freedom of movement since it cuts across the tops of my legs. It seems they failed to shorten the garment length for petites. I'm 5'4" and ordered a petite large. The center back (from collar to hem) is 27". If it had a waist cinch, I could at least possibly use that to raise the hem to a better height, but it doesn't. My chest is 38D, so the boxy cut and anorak fit are certainly not slimming, so keep that in mind if you care about that. I do love the raglan sleeves. Usually shoulder seams are set too wide, even on petites, so raglan sleeves solve that problem. Ultimately, I'm torn. I love the feel and fit in general. I had planned to wear this hiking and around town for errands in the PNW, but the length may be a dealbreaker.

First of all, this runs true to size if not a little roomy. I'm 5'4", 145 lbs, fit into a size M, but I prefer to wear a size up (L, for weight fluctuation). The size L is very big on me. Lots of room to layer with. Second, it's not that thick. It's about the equivalent of putting two good sweatshirts on. It's nothing like the one they sold 10+ years ago and I'm disappointed. It's currently the end of August so I can't tell you how it stands up to the cold weather. Time will tell. Third, is that I have no third, lol, but I hope this helps.

Love the zippered pouch in the front, the pockets below the pouch is perfect for gloves/hands. Washes well. Compact for packing in suitcase.

I wish you would make more items for tall women. I'm 5'8" and most of the coats, jackets, tops, sweaters that I have ordered from you are too short in the arms and in the length. I'm 5'8" and 163 pounds

I really like the look of the quilted anorak. However, I can't manage to pull it off without my shirt coming way up and showing my stomach. That is to say, it's a tight squeeze when trying to get it off. I'm 5ft8 135 lbs and got a Medium. It fits great except for the taking off part.

I really loved the look of this anorak but it just couldn't work for me. First I ordered a small, it fit perfect but the sleeves and the body were just a hair too short, so then I reordered a medium and it's gigantic and it looks like I'm wearing a trash bag. :(

I loved this anorak at first, for comfort, waterproof, and casual style, but the fabric pills. This is the 1st llbean outerwear purchase that have started to show wear in less than a year.

This jacket is nice. I love the colour and the kangaroo pouch pocket with second zippered pocket. I bought an extra large thinking a large would be small. I typically wear an extra large shirt (broad shoulders and bust). The extra large is very big and I thought the draw string elastic pulls at the bottom were really thin and didn't do anything effective to cinch the bottom of the jacket. The arms are quite roomy to almost bulky. I was also disappointed at the sleeve cuffs. For the price, I would expect a Velcro feature or a better looking cuff. It's gathering looks big and sloppy and the elastic is too tight. It kind of reminds me of my 1989 snowsuit.

This is a well made, fairly warm jacket. It's very attractive on. The reason I give it only 3 stars is because it is VERY DIFFICULT to take on and off (especially off). I've had to ask my husband to help me get it off! I'm 4 ft, 11 in., 128 lbs, and I purchased a size S Pet.

Love it but it's to small.. way to small. I have broad shoulders and it's just way to small. I'm a 1x in everything else and I can't even get this on. So sad. I'll prob switch to men's.

It's a super cute coat, and I get compliments on it all the time. But beware, the stuffing is already coming out. I've only had it for a few months and have not yet washed it. I would suggest buying something higher quality that holds up.

Well made, lovely spruce color...returned only because the first anorak that I purchased earlier this winter, diff color, started to leak the insulation where inner side of arm & side of jacket rub together. I was afraid this one would too. I love this anorak in every other way. I hope that Bean would consider using tighter weave material for next batches, then I would not hesitate to purchase again and recommend! It is awesome for layering for above zero wear.

Although I like the fit and the warmth, it's perfect to walk in, it becomes pilly very easily, etc. Not sure why this happens but that is the only disappointment that I have with this jacket. I have to clean it every time I wear it. The photos are from wearing it one time. I purchase lots of LLBean clothes and continue to be a fan but I am very disappointed in the quality of this product.

the coat fits nicely, plenty of room to layer a sweater under. Which I found is needed, as it is not as warm as I expected it to be. I am disappointed that the insulation is pilling through the outer fabric. I love the large zippered pocket on the front. It is handy not to have to carry a purse. I feel secure with my phone and money zippered in. The length is good. It gives good coverage. The sleeve length is good. I feel that the hood is too large. when the hood is up it extends too far forward, blocking peripheral vision.

A throw back but not the same jacket. Loved the insulation for extra warmth. Lined jacket was too fitted --not enough room to layer under for freedom of movement and ease in getting it on and off. Leather pulls to draw hood tighter do not stay tight during activity. Only solid color available --black, was NOT a good color to be seen --such as the old solid red was. I don't hide in the shadows --when outside --one needs to be visible to prevent injuries.
