Fits nice. It's not as soft as I thought it would be. Probably because of insect repellent finish. I won't be testing out until this summer.

My niece surveys wetlands teeming with mosquitoes as part of her job, and was always covered with bites. I happened to see these shirts online and got two. She said she didn't get a single bite through these shirts. Well worth the money!

This shirt was stiff at first but softened quickly. The fit is true to size and the fact that it is Insect Shield is well hidden. It's actually a good looking shirt.

So happy with this hoodie! I wore it first on a muggy evening, but despite excellent coverage, it did not feel too warm. The mosquitos were so fierce that they were buzzing around my head, but once I pulled up the hood, they left me alone. The sleeves are nice and long and have thumb slots to keep your wrists and most of your hands covered.

Wore this at Maine fishing camp and in the woods. Long sleeves & hoodie kept the litter buggers off me for sure. As a 5'6" thin woman this SMALL size fit over a tank or T-shirt, but not a whole lot of other layers. It was great in the 60-80 degrees

I bought this for my 29 yo daughter who hates mosquitoes and they are attracted to her like a bear to honey. The feel of material is important to her -- she really liked the feel of this product -- very soft. It draped nicely - not too loose or tight. The hood sits well on the head. It definitely prevents mosquito bites. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Great product!

Comfortable and cute. This lightweight top can be worn alone or over a t-shirt to help deter biting insects.

This shirt is absolutely fantastic. Kept all bugs away did not get over heated at all. So glad I ordered the hood style because it kept the bugs away from my head and face.

Bought this for my trip to Alaska in July and I wish I'd bought it in more colors because it was the perfect weight. Wore it over a tee in the shade and under a vest at night. Temps were around 50. I also didn't get bug bites like many of my companions, but I did also use spray.

This was worth its weight in gold during summer trip to Alaska. Very effective repellent and was able to use less DEET as a result.
Light enough you did not overheat in the Alaska summer sun.

1. It is comfortable
2. It is useful- it keeps the bugs away- even in downeast Maine
3. it looks decent- nice color
Only downside- it doesn't have a pocket- all clothing should have pockets.

I run between a small and medium, so I decided to go with the medium. If you're in the same boat as I am, the medium is a comfortable cut, and a small will fit more snugly. If that's your desired look, I'd size down. I didn't find the material scratchy, smelly, or unstretchable. It's poly/cotton with a bit of spandex. It's not stretchy per se; there is some give to the material.
I haven't had any mosquitos land on me all evening, though I can see them flying nearby. I'm so excited to take this on a month long road trip through the WestI'm very sensitive to mosquito bites and tend to swell up if I itch the area even once. Very pleased!

I'm that person that the insects love to swarm around. I was quite skeptical that this would work but to my surprise it actually keeps the flying insects away. It is snug fitting so I am here to order another one but in a larger size for when I need to layer up. Now I can enjoy walking the dogs during black fly season. I'm hoping it works during horse fly season too.

I really try to keep up with weeding my flower beds and garden but I live close to woods and the bugs continually drove me away! If I stayed out to finish the job I was bitten up...crazy bugs this year! I wore the Insect Shield Hoodie I was able to stay out for hours! The hood portion really protected my neck ! It was amazing and I don't mind weeding when I have it on! So glad I purchased this!

Have only tried this on, not worn because it's been so hot out. I love the fit, I like tops to be roomy so got an extra large but feels more like a large on me, yet very comfortable. The fabric is very soft and I hope they get more colors because I'd love to buy a few more. The sleeves are a perfect length, have a thumb hole, which is nice for when there's a chill. A flattering top.

I was skeptical about whether this repels bugs. You have to wear it out there with the bugs to fully evaluate the shirt.
When I first tried it on, I wasn't thrilled because the fabric is slightly stiffer than you might expect for a cotton blend shirt. It's also a little bit thicker than other shirts I wear. There is no weird feeling or scent. But the general look of the shirt isn't fluid and streamlined, therefore is less flattering than the photo showing the shirt alone. Basically if it wasn't for the bug repelling aspect of the shirt, I wouldn't wear it.
However when I go outside to walk the dog this shirt becomes a magical cape of sorts, repelling all insects. It is my new favorite camping shirt as well because when you put the hood on, the bugs also stay away from your head. No longer do I need to wear a bug net or bug spray.
It works really well.
If I buy another one or another type of shirt made of this fabric, I might buy the mens version for a longer fit. However overall I thought the sizing was about right for normal LL bean ladies shirts.

I LOVE this shirt. It is a bit on the smaller end of normal, but I can wear a t-shirt under it and go for a walk in the woods or work in my garden. I border the Nat'l Forest and yes we have black flies etc. The material is a bit thick, but that is so the bugs can't stick their nasty stingers into you. So far, the bugs have left me alone when wearing it, thus I am getting a second, and because the first is always in the wash!

The shirt is an excellent insect repellent. It works well and the hooded part is a must for keeping out the black flies. It even looks good for a fashionable outfit with the madras shorts that I had purchased previously. I give this a 5 star rating.

This shirt is fantastic. The style and fit is great, love the long sleeves with the thumb holes to keep the sleeves tucked into gloves. I always get ticks on me when working outside in tall grass, brush or under trees. Since wearing this shirt I haven't found any ticks on me.

Looking forward to warmer days to wear this, especially when the black flies come out. Good full coverup. I put it as true to size, but it runs a bit smaller than a lot of my LLBean tops in the the chest. Will only work as a first layer for me. I think the material is pretty substantial and tightly woven, so good for some work or that sort of thing. Too early for bugs in this cold spring we are having.

When I'm working in the yard, this long sleeve hoodie helps keep annoying insects away. Sleeves are long enough to fit inside my garden gloves and I wear a hat to keep the hood from flopping in my face.
