Typical great LLBean quality coat still going strong 3 years later. Purchased in 2019. My son likes it a lot. It keeps him dry without being too warm.

My daughter lost her other L.L. Bean rain jacket at school this year that was sort of the "standard model". We bought this one on our way to hike in the White Mountains and we're very pleased with the purchase. She loves it and it appears to be a high-quality, legitimate outdoor wear for a kid. It kept her dry and broke the wind on a rainy and blustery day at high elevation.

Great colors, well made, nice length. This is the second one I have purchased for my granddaughter, and the fabric holds up nicely through laundering and playing!

We've been wearing this jacket for a month now during what feels like a mini-monsoon season for the Southeast. This is a rain jacket, could be used as a windbreaker, but definitely not a coat. My 8 year old says it will keep you dry, but not warm when wearing short sleeves underneath. That being said, sometimes warm isn't what you need and being dry is enough. For that, it fits the bill and does so in a way that won't leave you sweating or with material sticking to your skin. She's happy with it and since she's happy, I'm happy. We ordered it in pink. It's a dull pink, not a pastel pink, but I've heard no complaint.

Saw my grandson the other day and thought what a great looking coat he is wearing. Realized that it was the LL Bean raincoat I had ordered for him. It is a really nice looking and well made and fitting coat. I highly recommend it for your child.

Here in Hawaii, it rains quite a bit. Our child can run around in the rain and not get wet or overheat. This is a quality product with an added benefit of great pockets that zip close on the outside and are deep in the chest liner. The only thing I would improve is the front zipper it doesn't appear it's been improved on. We purchased a smaller one before this one and the zipper is starting to go. The size is true to roomy, which is great for them to grow into.

Perfect. Ended up returning for 1 size up.... knowing it will go over sweater shirt or something similar. Originally purchased large (14-16) perfect fit for now but am sure larger size best.

This looks like a great raincoat but I've only given it 4 stars because we haven't used it in the rain yet. The fabric is really, really thin so I'm skeptical, but I will update once it gets used. I do like how the hood comes out from the face a lot. I wish LL Beam would figure out that a raincoat should keep your face dry too. Their hoods are usually so shallow. If you have long hair, it's awful!

I have been buying this rain jacket for years for my kids. Last jacket that I bought for my daughter was in 2018 and a Little Kids Large (size 6x-7). Just received the next size up. Noticed a few things: There's now a flap covering the zipper secured with Velcro. I hate Velcro. It catches on everything. Next, the back hem is straight now as opposed to it being longer in the 2018 style. The last complaint that I have is that the sizing has changed. Previous year's fit always ran big. So I purchased the size 8. I held up the 2018 size 6x-7 jacket to the 2021 size 8 and they are about the same dimensions. Actually the 2018 6x-7 size is longer in the back when compared to the current style. Now L.L. Bean is making the fit true to size. I returned the size 8 and ordered the size 10-12 instead. L.L. Bean: Please make the next version longer in the back to offer more rain coverage just like you did in the 2018 style.

Jacket has excellent construction quality- what we would expect from LLBean. Sized accurately, great color choices/blocking. Reservation: this is NOT a waterproof jacket. Son was on an all day hike, with rain. He was soaked within 3 hours. A shame bc the jacket is really well made, just not waterproof.

For the money I expected a much better quality rain jacket. Inside was almost plastic material. I also thought LL Bean made everything in the USA? This was returned.

I am a runner. Bought this jacket because the website says that it is waterproof. It certainly is NOT waterproof. When I have worn this jacket even in light rain I do NOT stay dry. Very disappointed in TEK waterproof system. Company needs to go back and recheck this TEK system. I am very disappointed that the jacket did not perform as stated in the website write-up.

Nice practical jacket. Lined gives a little warmth, and better fit. Does run a bit small , in my experience.

Great rain coat! It is a great length for a rain coat, not too short or long. Strong material that is a great weight!

I had my last one for years and decided to get a new one.

We had the same rain jacket for my kids when they were younger and my daughter wanted a larger size (yay!). She loves the light mauve color and the jacket is a great fit and of reliable quality!

Waterproof jacket that fits well over hoodie. Thin and not particularly warm but perfect for Spring, Early Fall protection from blustery, rainy weather. Well made, with beautiful shade of blue and greenthe two colors I chose for my grandsons.

Worked great on camping trip as another layer for warmth

This raincoat does the trick-- it's the right price point, he likes the way it looks, and it stuffs easily into his backpack for camp/school. Has a roomy fit, which is good because it means we'll get a few years out of it.

I'm a petite woman 5'1" and slim. This rain jacket in an xl fit perfectly.

Quality construction at a good price. Many features not normally found on Kid's jackets

This is a repeat in a larger size for grandson. I have bought this style in 4 different sizes, colors for my 4 grandchildren. For 2 granddaughters, when one outgrows their size, there is usually another one that will fit. In grandson's case, he wasn't interested in pink; thus this order.
