Really great garment. Other than the sizing, pretty much the same as the Smartloft 60 from past years, of which I already own half a dozen. I run hot, jackets are too hot, these are perfect for working outside 8 months of the year here in Portland OR. Lightweight and warm. The sizing is a full size off. Seeing the comments, I got an XL, and it's the same or slightly smaller than the Larges I have in the Smartloft 60 from a couple years ago (actually fits a little better). I'm 6'2", 190 pounds, and like a relaxed fit. The XL is snug but these are stretchy so isn't too tight. I'm ordering a couple more since they are on sale. I've been buying Smartwool products since they first came out with socks in the late 90s. Always super high quality, very comfortable, very durable.

This has become my new favorite vest! I love the stretchy side paneling and fitted style. Definitely be aware that if you buy your normal size, you will not be able to have much more than a shirt under this vest (40" chest and I got a medium). It feels like it is designed for activity and not just walking around town so it conforms to your body. I never felt like it was restrictive. Without any other jackets, it feels at home in the fall and spring weather, 40s-50s F. If I could change anything, I would want a little more material room right in the middle, around the bottom of the rib cage, but other than that I absolutely love this. I've taken it on several runs and bike rides and haven't overheated in it. #SmartwoolLove

Bought this at medium size which was too small. Returned for large and was perfect. Bought another large as this is great vest.

I have worn this almost everyday since I bought it. I mostly use as an everyday layer to keep warm but works great for athletic endeavors as well.

The perfect form fitting 2nd layer when I'm back country skiing or underneath my work clothes in the winter workshop; versatile enough as an outer layer on a snowy morning 8k run.... pockets a plenty, low-rise collar, sheds moisture, breathable, stretchy and warm. Get yourself one.

Comfortable and good fit. Like that it's not bulky and the extra pockets are great.

I use this under a jacket while mountain biking to stay warm in 30-33 degree F weather. Works great. Breathes. It was very helpful seeing the male model and knowing his dimensions when choosing a size. I'm 5'11" and went with medium.

This vest has a great feel and I love it. It's the perfect combination of slim and warm, and it's great for lounging around the house, running errands in town, or adding the perfect layer on long hikes. Great job on this Smartwool.

Best piece of gear I've bought in a while! It adds so much warmth for how much it weighs and it also takes up virtually no space. I mainly use it for skiing but I can see how it would also be great for running or any other high-intensity cold weather activity. 10/10 would recommend!

My Husband loves this vest! He works at a hospital where it can be really cold. It is light enough for him to wear underneath a jacket or coat, and then throughout the day on top of his scrubs. It has sooo many pockets...that's his favorite feature!

He likes it!
Particular male has worn it more than once and without encouragement. Flattering on his 5'9" frame. Roughly 150-160 lbs.

My husband loves this vest. He commented on how great it fits, the small details like the color at the collar, and its breathability.
The only downside was the extra $1 that was tacked on as a separate transaction. It's not the $ it's the weirdness of the extra charge.

This is great for North Texas Golf during the colder months. Size recommendations are spot on, I'm normally a medium(6'2" 180)but went with a large to layer over a mid weight pullover.

This warm vest can be worn over a base layer, or can be layered under another outer garment, adding to its versatility. It's not bulky, and fairly tight-fitting, so it doesn't get in the way of movement but still blocks the wind well. Very versatile! #SmartwoolLove

Like. It's more athletic fit, adds just enough core warmth alone over a base and lays comfortably under another jacket/coat. The neck collar is a little tight imo even with my sorta pencil neck. Don't expect to zip it up over another mock, turtle, roll neck without getting red in the face.

I wrote an earlier review raving about this product because I love the warmth to weight ratio, the quality, the feel, and the look of this vest. I think it's fantastic and something I want to wear everyday. However, in my earlier review I forgot to mention one of my main gripes, which is that the arm holes are way too small. The vest fits great but every time it's a struggle to put on because the arm holes prevent you from effortlessly sliding the vest on. And I discovered another issue when our new kitten jumped on my back for a split second and left gaping holes in the outer shell. Basically in a split second the vest is ruined and that level of fragility doesn't inspire confidence. I went from thinking that this would be my new go-to vest for outdoor adventures, to realizing it's just a pretty item to wear around the house or office. For this I'm taking off a star on what is otherwise an awesome product.

Seemed very high quality and I loved the look but I returned it due to sizing. I'm an athletic 5'10" & 174 lbs and the best was too snug on my torso. I think a large would be too loose.

Love smartwool and have a number of their pieces. This is a nice vest however the sizing is off. It runs not only very small, but also has a weird shape. Very tight in the waist yet overly wide at the chest and shoulders. I'm a fit lean cyclist usually wear size small in a vest. Needed size large in this vest, problem is the shoulders stick out too far in that size. Just doesn't work. Had to return both a size Med and Large. Disappointing

41" chest and a medium was too small. It depends on your usage though. I need to move and be active (running, hiking, sports) and a medium was too snug. But if you're sitting in a boat fishing not really moving or something, a snugger/warmer fit might be what you want.

Bought this for skiing but never used it because of how small it was. Bummed out it did not fit as expected. I own other smartwool products and they usually fit well but with this one I even went a size up so that I could fit a base and mid layer under it. Looks like it would have worked well if it had fit. I was surprised at the lack of wool in the product, i might have just not read the description close enough
