I love the way the shoes skate but they are way to narrow throughout the entire shoe. They also run small so I went up a size and it still felt overly narrow. I also tried a whole size up which ended up being a tad bit big in terms of length and it still didn't fix the width problem entirely. Predominantly for me their to narrow in the arch and heel cup. I think part of that is due to the shoe being somewhat banana lasted so the shoe has a curve from toe to heel. Overall the shoes are probably my favorite in terms of durability and just the way they skate. It would be really awesome if NB would do the same thing with the 808 that they did the wesgate/508 and offer it in a wide along with standard

Very good sneaker but is smaller

Shoes were stiff/bulky out of the box which is exactly what I was looking for. These shoes were holding up great after 4 pretty heavy sessions, there was very little wear. After my 5th time skating them, I started to notice little chunks around the outer edge of the soles missing(see picture). The issue only got worse after the 6 session as the sole continued to crumble. Great shoes while they lasted, wish the soles were a bit stronger.

The shoe looks really nice but i was surprised at how narrow the toebox is since it is a bulky shoe so for anyone with wide feet should probably go a half or full size up from your usual size

The shoe is great there is no arguing that. It skates like other new balance shoes but with the protection of other shoes like dunks. The only problem I have is how narrow the shoe is. If it came in wide I'd easily buy it

When I first got these, the toe box felt rather narrow. My big issue though is these have the thickest sole of any skateboarding shoe I have owned in 20 years of skating, and I've had them all. They legitimately make me feel taller when I put them on. Forget about "board-feel," the sole of the shoe BARELY flexes when you take a step. These will take a considerable amount of time to break in. I have no doubt these will hold up well for skateboarding once I get used to them, but honestly they make me think of those beige orthopedic shoes that elderly people wear in a nursing home.

These shoes are really stiff out of the box. The color is way more mustard in person than brown and is very odd. As always with NB skate shoes I have to go a half size down to get a snug fit. These fit well though and provide ample support however are heavier than some other notable cup sole shoes out. Overall probably worth it on sale, for full price I would think twice.

The heel slippage on these shoes is terrible. I usually wear a size 11 and I tried an 11 and a 10.5 and the heel slippage was still excessive. I normally get the brand with 3 stripes skate shoes and those have very little heel slippage. Also, as other people have mentioned, the toe box is narrow. I figure you could break it in, but still it is an issue with this shoe. It's a shame that this shoe doesn't fit better because they look so good and I'm not gonna sacrifice toe box space to get rid of heel slippage. Heel slippage + it's too narrow. I never thought this could be done. Goodbye New Balance skateboarding shoes

These shoes are lovely and I've gotten many compliments! Surprisingly snug and tight when I'm walking around. Now skateboarding is terrible with these?!?!?! Idk why but I can't skate 10 minutes without my foot numbing in pain and I just have to stop. They're relatively (1 month) new and I HOPE they break in because right now they make skating absolute torture

These are the worst feeling shoes I have ever skated. They hurt your feet the instant you put them on.

Like others have stated these shoes are way too narrow. If they just increased the width of the toe box I would have loved them :( hope they do something about it
