I was really torn between getting these and the Hoka Bondi 8's because I have a lot of foot/joint/tendon issues. I am prone to supinate (roll my foot outward), and I've been using the Bondi's for years, but I tried these because they are SO plush. I have to admit, these have so much cushion that they made my Bondis feel like they were super stiff, but it also turns out that I personally really needed the extra stability of the bondis as I was much more inclined to supinate in these shoes, even with my (generally) good foot. So if you're looking for an incredibly comfortable, springy, soft shoe and you don't have the same supination issues/need for stability, I would definitely recommend that you try these! I would have made the switch, but I just can't risk messing up my foot/ankle again with a shoe that is less stable.
I'd also recommend:

For anyone expecting the same fit as Fresh Foam V3, you may be disappointed, as I was. Cushioning is still excellent, but I feel like the toe box is "shallower", so the "Wide" isn't a comfortable fit anymore. They did something to the upper and the tongue, as well, so that there is excess pressure on the top of the foot...for me, very uncomfortable.

I love these! They have great support and I love the white with a little color. These remind me of the Hoka Bondis because they have the wider sole. But these are so soft right out of the box. I’m usually a 10 and a 10.5 in these was perfect. I’ve always been a New Balance fan but have to go half a size up. Totally happy with my purchase!

Felt smaller and narrower than previously purchased pairs of the same style from NB.

I wore these cushy sneaks all day, every day in Italy for 10 days. I have wide feet and back problems and I was really nervous about bringing one pair of shoes on vacation, but these are marvelous! They literally put a spring in my step!

Too high profile for me. Meaning too high, too much cushion. Cause me to roll out. Not safe for my weak ankles. Nice looking in white. Usually get 71/2 w. These were that and true to size. Good luck out there! And thank you Zappos

Very dissapointed. I've been a longtime fan of NB More shoes. The new V4 has plenty of cushion, but the new design with the "crevace" down the middle of the sole from the heal to mid foot is horrible. It forces my foot to rest back on the out side of my heel and not neutral. Cushion, style other than new sole is fine.

The fresh foam seems to be worn out after only a few weeks. They felt wonderful at first, like walking on a cloud. Now, my feet are killing me after my daily treadmill workout.

Ordered the Black/Starlight (color is dark grey) in a 10 E width and couldn’t be more pleased! I inserted my own orthotics and put them on and loved them. The cushioning is awesome and is greater than the V3. My V3’s (3pair) cushioning broke down fairly quickly so I am hoping this won’t be the case. I have a bunion on one foot and bunion removed on other foot and the shoes feel great! I used to buy Hoka Bondi but am a New Balance convert. The cushioning and width (allowing space for orthotic and bunion) are the best!

I loved the thick, soft, bouncy cushioning of the sole under the heel & mid-foot, but it needs a thicker, more cushioned sole under the forefoot as well. If you suffer from chronic/recurring metatarsalgia as I do, or any other condition that causes pain in the ball of your foot/forefoot this might not be the shoe for you. Also, the toe box was too narrow. I'm a small person (5'2" and 102 lbs.), but I have a full length, very thick orthotic that requires extra depth and a wide toe box. If New Balance would make these changes to this shoe I would buy it.

After a decade plus of running in Hokas, I have found a more comfortable show. I have zero forefoot pain. Zero blisters. The show is light and responsive despite its incredibly thick cushion. Color choices are great. I’m looking forward to running a half marathon in them this fall. New Balance…please don’t do what Hoka did: don’t keep changing and tweaking what’s already perfect!!

I feel like these shoes are more contoured for people who have a narrow heel and wider ball of foot. I really like the squishy foam feel of the heel. This is my second pair and defiantly buy a third pair!

I have so many foot issues - plantar fasciitis, bunions etc so I need good support, a really plush sole and a wide toe box. I got all these in these shoes in a wide width. I was able to remove the insole and add my custom orthotics. They are perfect!!!

I wanted something really cushiony and with that 'dad' sneaker look. These are it. Almost hard to stabilize in if you're weight training b/c they're SO bouncy but I like for HIIT, dance cardio, running... i run .5 bigger in New Balance sneaks.

I love how this shoe fits and feels. I am an RN who is on my feet most of the day. This shoe takes a lot of the shock out of walking/running which has significantly reduced my knee pain from an old injury.

This shoe is super plush with good arch support, but too wide for my foot. The thing I disliked, however, was that the ankle area had an edge that was rubbing my ankle (even with socks), so I sent back.

Felt true to size and really beautiful vibrant colors. Very soft inside and had maximum cushion. It was a bit too much for me. If you like Hokas it’s like a Hoka maximum cushion multiplied by 100

I loved the thick, bouncy cushioning in the heel & arch area of the sole of the shoe. I just wish that same thick cushioning would have extended all the way to the tip of the toe. Instead, the thickness of the sole tapers off until it's quite thin, comparably, by the time it reaches the toe area. If you have chronic/recurring metatarsalgia as I do, that lack of cushioning in the forefoot, under the ball of the foot, makes a big difference. I would have liked the toe box shape if it had been more of a square or rounded shape. I'm a small person (5'2" and 102 pounds), and would normally wear a size 8 narrow, but I have a full length length, thick orthotic. Because of this, I need an extra wide shoe with a very roomy toe box. I'm hoping someone at New Balance reads this review and will take my suggestions on changes for this shoe seriously.

I was a HUGE fan of the fresh foam v2 & v3 but I am really disappointed by this update. I run races half marathon - 50 mile and I used to use this shoe for long runs and workouts. It was responsive and felt great over long distances. The updated shoe however I will only be using for short recovery runs. It is VERY soft. It feels like you're sinking into the ground. It also feels heavy. I'm sad that NB did this to one of my favorite shoes. If you're looking for a show comparable to hokas Clifton, this is a good option.

I'm going to start by saying that before COVID, I consistently wore an 8 1/2 medium in all New Balance shoes. I could order online, put them on, and go. Since COVID, the sizing is way off. I finally found that a 9 1/2 wide fit me perfectly in New Balance Fresh Foam Arishi v4. However, they're going back because they're supposed to be neutral and they're not. I have to wear a neutral shoe. So, based on reviews I ordered Foam X More v4 in a 10 wide. They are way too long and way too wide. I ordered them in a 9 1/2 medium and the width is okay, but still maybe a little too wide and they're maybe a half size too big. I'm going to order a 9 medium and see how that goes. Other than that, these feel like heaven. I feel like I'm walking on a plush mattress. I think they'll help with my foot pain from fasciitis. Fingers crossed. If the 9 is too small I think I'll keep the 9 1/2 due to the comfort level.

These shoes have so much cushion and are so nice to walk in! I’m a larger woman and it’s great to have the extra cushion and support for my knees and back.

I ordered a women's 6 wide fit, should've ordered the regular, the wide is too loose fitting on my toe area. Other than that the shoe is very comfortable, I run 1-2 miles a day and have no pain. They are not the most good looking shoe because of how round they are on towards the front but if you prefer comfort over looks than they are great!
