This pant is just what I was looking for: lightweight, nice color, quick washing and drying. In short, perfect for traveling, especially packing. A bonus, it can be "dressy," if the occasion arises. The only drawback is that the legs were too long, but a tailor quickly took care of that.

Light and durable, these are great hikersexcept for the vertical pocket on the left leg. Would give 5 stars if that were another cargo pocket.

My fifth pair, same great quality & fit. Only reason for a 4 star was the belt. Always had narrow belts with colors that matched the pants. This one was very wide and was black. All you notice is the belt.

Comfortable but the pant legs are too baggy. I wouldve preferred a more tapered feel from the knee down.

Ideal sizes for me are 35-34 so I ordered the 36/34. The fit is good except the thigh area of the pants are baggy, but better baggy than tight. The length measurement on the pants are as exactly as they should be. I did not notice the left pocket zipper is vertical and I really dislike vertical zippers in pockets. It drives me nuts and makes zero sense to me to have a thigh leg pocket zippered vertical.

These are nice utilitarian pants. I like the fabric and features. The waist size runs a little small (at least smaller than other brands like RailRiders or Exofficio) so if you are in doubt I suggest ordering one size up.

Love the convenience of the zip off legs. Fit is small. Buy a waist size larger

It's kind of hard to see a pair of pants that used to be around $20 when I was grade school be this expensive. They get the job done and are breathable.

Bought a couple pair a few years ago, been wearing them a fair amount, but only in "shoulder" seasons before and after summer (when it's not hot enough to wear just shorts and it's nice to be able to zip off the legs). Very light-weight (thin), quick drying, many pockets = convenient. Mostly durable (see below). One flaw is that pant legs have no zipper at cuffs, so have to remove shoes when taking off or putting them on. But knew this when I bought, so can't really complain. Complaint I do have: the Omni-shade feature may protect my skin from UV rays, but doesn't protect the pants themselves - pant color faded badly wherever exposed to sun! Wouldn't mind so much if it faded more evenly, but it's not just that inside color is now different from outside, or that normally hidden portions are now glaringly different in color (e.e.under leg zipper cover flap or pocket flaps), but the front is now clearly different color from the back, the inner crotch is the original color, and the top portion (that had more time covered by my untucked shirts) is now different color from the rest So in essence I now have multi-colored, multi-shaded pants! This has happened to both pairs of Silver Ridge pants I bought slightly different colors. Last complaint: stitching of mesh pocket has detached discovered this when stuff I put in my pocket fell down my pant leg onto the ground

I bought these after owning several pairs of Silver Ridge convertible pants (regular, not "utility"). They're fine, but the fit is very different -- much looser and baggier throughout -- so I'll be returning them.

I've love most of my Columbia gear and I've had several pairs of convertible pants. These are by far the least outdoors oriented as they material is really thin with no weather protection and with a texture that is not designed to deflect the snags of bushes and typical outdoor vegetation. If you just want some yoga pants that you can zip off the legs on, this is your option.

I ordered the straight leg pants but these are very baggy. Also the belt is very wide and getting it and out of the belt loops is not ideal. I like the functionality of the pants for all outdoor activities. They are great golf pants as the temps can change up to 20 degrees from when I tee off to when I finish. Super comfortable. Just wish the cut was better.

The trousers did not fit well as the legs were very wide from the crotch down to the end of the leg. The material also did not feel comfortable or very durable.

Terrible sizing. I wear 38 waist X 32 inseam. The waist was a tiny bit snug while the inseam was 4 inches too long. No joke....My wife thought I ordered the wrong size. I exchanged these for the next size down (30 inch inseam) and they're still too long. Also, very baggy fit. I wouldn't want to be tight but they are baggy. I could wear a pair of jeans under these.

Pockets are shallow compared to past convertible pants. Things would easily fall out of pockets that don't have zipped closings. Zipper closed pockets are also shallow--my cell phone won't fit with zipper closed. Would be nice to have 2 back pockets. Not everyone is right-handed and therefore only back pocket on right side is made. Again, just like front/cargo pockets, back pockets lack depth.

Third day I wore them, stitching pulled out on side of left cargo pocket. Not very good construction.

Problem with pants due to one side pocket was partially close because the stitching on the pants accidently also stitched the pocket partially closed. Pocket is now essentially useless.

Buen diseo, tela adecuada, funcional, la talla comprada ajust correctamente, pero las costuras se sueltan con mucha facilidad; incluso con un uso poco intenso.

Please bring back the iconic convertible pant. I absolutely hate this new design, not sure I want to wear this in public with that dumb open pocket, it looks ridiculous. Why did you move the zipper on the left pocket? The material has a cheap feel. Not buying your products anymore. Dear Management, you are going the wrong way. I do not recommend. I want my pant back.

Thin, lightweight material as expected. But the sizing is very strange. Width around the waist was about right, the length was 2-3" longer than expected. Also very, very baggy.

Very disappointed in how thin the pants are. We have two prior pair from the past that are of much better quality and much thicker. The ones we just purchased are as thin as tissue paper. Very disappointed. We will be hiking and these new pants will probably rip if the edge of a rock or tree limb gets in contact with the thin tissue like material! Very disappointed in the poor quality! Prior quality was great
