The toe area is too narrow, even after going up a half size. Different insoles helped a bit. Hard to put on and take off, but do have great grip/waterproof.

Look great, keep my feet warm and dry. However, for whatever reason they're SO stiff and v difficult to put on and take off. Wouldn't buy again.

I wanted to love this but the fit was just weird. The toe box feels flattened- it is wide enough from side to side and front to back, but it's very short/low from top to bottom- my big toe was hitting the top of the shoe right away. I exchanged them for a half size up (so a full size up from my usual size in Vans) but had the same problem. I didn't have this problem with an older pair of Vans MTEs, just with the Ultrarange.

The only issue with this shoe I see is the top shoelace hook, when your walking around or working it got tangle up with shoelace hooking together on that hook and I ended up on the floor twice so I don't use them much cause it keeps happening , that top hook needs to be gone or redesign asap , for safety issue , boot looks great other than that

When I bought these for the Chicago winters was hoping for good waterproof shoes that will keep my feet warm. Feet stay cold and water is starting to come in after my 2nd winter wore from January-March and just started again and water comes in now and are starting to rip in the inside and sides. I just use them for work they are definitely comfortable I could work a 12hr shift just fine. Would not recommend to someone who works outside but if you work inside will be a good fit.

Great comfortable and sturdy boot. They are not waterproof. I have had these shoes for about one year. It's the perfect boot for me beyond the fact I can't wear them in any snow over a couple inches.

The laces that come with them are way too short.. you will need to purchase longer laces to even tie these. Could use a little more padding in the insoles..

This is a day 2 review. Shoes arrived yesterday, have been wearing them for approximately 8 hours around the house today. I wear 11.5 in other Vans styles, these being my first UltraRange. I'm afflicted as a toe-walker. These are very well-made shoes and are seemingly a great value for the price, if only I could wear the right foot shoe comfortably. They fit very tightly around the toes. The left side is tight enough as to be uncomfortable, but the right is tight enough to initially cause pain when I first walked in them. Will continue to wear them and see if they just need some initial stretching before they are comfortable, but I regret not trying on the style before ordering. I recommend sizing up or trying these on in a store before ordering online.

I couldn't wear these for more than 30 seconds without my feet being in pain. I would have tried to break them in, but you can tell there is nowhere for the show to break into. I have a pair of MTE 3 and MTE 1 that I could break in and now wear, but not these.

It's sturdy and does well in my waterproofing test of shoveling my driveway and sidewalk. However this is my second pair, vans sent a replacement, and for the second time the shoelace hook popped off, same exact one too. It's either poor design or poor quality, and makes tying the boots tightly almost impossible.

Self explanatory. Great shoes, just way too narrow in the toe region. Vans needs to just stay the way the are, why are we changing everything.

The style is very catchy but these shoes are super uncomfortable! They are extremely tight and hurt your feet after wearing them for a while. Unfortunately I am not a fan of these particular vans

I would love to purchase a pair of these but the smallest size is a woman's 8. Wish you made them available in some smaller sizes.

I love the style of these shoes. The toe box is way too tight, I went up a 1/2 size and it was still way too tight. Have to return the them.

Sneaker is not that comfortable as too the padding of sole. You can feel everything you step on. Good for a skate park, not a disc golf course.

I love all of my other Vans but this pair was a disappointment. They are soft and squishy but the sole quickly became lumpy after just a few weeks of wear despite the bottom of the shoe still looking fine. I'm not sure why they broke down so quickly but for my next pair I'll be going back to the EXOs.

1st pair fit awesome, and lasted me a long time. 2nd pair were like 2 different sized shoes. Way too tight....Ive been wearing them daily, giving them a chance to "break in" not helping at all....They're about to go in the garbage.

After the second day the boots started squeaking as I walked, I've tried solutions to get rid of it but no luck. Hoping it goes away with time

I ordered them in my size, I have always been an 8.5 in Vans but these are very narrow, I couldn't wear them for even 20 minutes because they hurt my instep. These shoes are not made for a wide foot

I don't blame vans for the narrowness. I have wide feet-I just wish they had a wider "wide" selection. Also, these shoes were comically loud walking around when I tried them on-even if they did fit, I'd have had to send them back. There will be no ninja-ing in these shoes.

I ordered these online in my size 9 mens. They were super tight so I visited a store to replace for 9 1/2 mens. Those fit just like the 9s. So I tried the size 10 and those had more room for my toes. To add, I normally wear Salomon or Merrells brand of boots. And thought these looked cool and would be similar but they are stiff and when fitting my foot into the shoe, it requires some tugging effort. If I tie the lace up to the top of the shoe, my heel is in excruciating pain.

As a matter of fact, I sent it back. I will give 1 star just for the looks. I always wear UltraCush but this is the most uncomfortable rigid shoe ever. Shoe needs re-designed. Toe box is too small even with the laces as loose as a goose. The lacing holes toward the toes is too close together. So the shoe runs small in that aspect. And I don't have a wide foot. I'm a woman with a normal women's foot. My toes were in the perfect position in the shoe.
