Wore the RHO Heavyweight base layers on the super cold -20 days in Whistler and I was able to stay out on the hill all day no problem. This is my go to when the temperatures dip or when I know I'm going to be outside standing around for extended periods.

As usual with Arcteryx, this is superb gear. These tights are thicker & warmer than any I've found for about 20 years. The Rho move comfortably, and I think the outer layer will keep a lot of wind out. I'm 5 ft 6" and 127 pounds, and the Medium fits very well.

I know these are a "base layer" but I wear them as winter pants all the time. They look stylish and flattering, at least so far (a couple of washes). The pocket adds to the look and makes them dressier than your typical leggings. The broad waistband is comfy and the stretch is the fabric is very forgiving but doesn't get too loose at the knees

I can't say enough about these pants - they are amazing in every way. They hold up well under frequent washing and I've not experienced them stretching out despite heavy rotation of a few pairs. What I like the most is the fabric - It's almost impossible to describe. They are the only durable pants I've owned that are super soft (like a redefining soft type of soft) and don't itch or scratch, including the seams. Super high quality and engineered masterfully, right down to the side pocket you did not know you needed to be small until you did. Keeps the chill off both indoors and outdoors and creates very flattering lines.

I bought these to wear running under my snow skirt and just around the house in the winter. I love the feel of them and the warmth. Great for snow shoveling and running errands.

Super warm and comfortable. Fits perfectly. Just doesn't look that nice after first wash (inside out, gentle).

These are the most outstanding base-layer long underwear I've ever owned. Incredibly warm. Amazing fit with no bunching or limit of movement.

I jumped online to purchase another pair of these bottoms today because I ended up wearing the ones that I bought last year so frequently. They're very soft against my skin, they stay in place, and give a little bit of extra warmth for riding the chairlift or at work heliskiing. They look great too. I'm not sure what I would ever use the pocket for, but it does add a nice look to the legging, which is useful for me at work if I don't have time to change between skiing and aprs but don't want to wear my ski pants.

So warm and comfortable. I bought them as a base layer while skiing but find myself reaching for them anytime I get cold. I even winter run in them and find them very warm, yet never too warm. The only thing I wish they had was a drawstring to help keep them in place, but still a definite favorite!

I'm a longtime fan of the rho. I was delighted to see Arcteryx made adjustments to the sizing to return to the fit during the 2021-2022 ski season. The 2022-2023 season one was baggy in all the wrong places and would not stay up. This one hugs nicely and has enough elasticity to return to a smaller size after wearing it and stretching it out. This still fits on the looser end but it stays in place better. The waistband stays in place. I would love to see a curved inseam on these instead of the T inseam to accommodate curves better. I'm 5'10 and always wear a tall but this looks good. I will still have to fold these up out of the way of my ski boots. I would love to see a heavyweight bootcut version about 4 inches shorter than the current boot cut model on the regular weight this to better accommodate ski boots and ski socks.

Every thing felt great except the length. Now that I look at the models, it does look short. I get the base layer won't be hit below the ankle but the bottom hit close to the bottom of my calf. I almost felt like I received a miss-stitched piece it was so short? For reference, I wear a 31" or 32". I'm 5'7", 150 and athletic frame. So Large 31.5" inseam should of been great. I know not the same product, but the old Rho AR bottoms from 2019 fit me perfect in the same size. (I have 3 pair) I have yet to find another Arc'teryx pant that fits me as well and I think I'll give up. I have had sizing issues in the past with one pair being short and one having the waist band too tight. Then buying the same style # from a different store and they were perfect. So maybe it was quality control or maybe I have giraffe legs. If your shorter, they probably will be perfect as they seem to be good quality.

Please make these longer. I'm 5'8 and XS, they sit above my hiking boot line which makes it uncomfortable. so far the most solid winter tights...if they were just a bit longer.

I buy these pants every year. They are a staple in my closet. This year they changed not only the design but the composition of the fabric blends. Used to be 88% Polyester and 12% Elastane. Now it's 53% Polyester and 38% Nylon and 9% Elastane. Not the same feel or wear. Quality has gone down in my opinion.

These are warm but as stated in other reviews, too short. I've had them for several months now and they do not keep their shape - kind of saggy. Bummed as my older pair were perfect for length, warmth, and keeping their shape.

I wad disappointed as The zipper on the thigh pocket wad broken when arrived. I am a senior citizen so don't have the resources to return it. Will keep it because it is a good fit for me.
