Absolutely LOVE THEM!! Was concerned they would not fit my 17” calves but just made it!!! Wearing thick socks right now due to some rubbing at the heal. But improving everyday. Love the insole- couldn’t be more comfortable. Very stylish even for me at age 58. Highly recommend!!

If you plan to wear socks may want to size up or remove the insole to make the space. Good quality and no need to break these in.

Okay, so these boots do require patience and aren't meant to be worn for a day/night out straight out of the box. Being made from real leather, they will be stiff upon first wear, especially along the heels, and you do need to break them in. Here's what helped me during the breaking-in process: -Always wear your boots with thick, wool socks. You can double up to help further stretch the leather and prevent blisters. - For about a couple hours daily, wear your boots around the house. You can also apply a hair dryer to the heels (or other tough spots) or sit near a space heater. This will help soften the leather. -When you are not wearing your boots, place an upright soda can inside against the heels to help stretch the leather. -You may still develop blisters during this process; DON'T GIVE UP! The end result is well worth it! After about a few weeks, the boots should be ready to actually wear. Practice makes perfect!

They are slightly big in my size but having learned my lesson on trying to make a size too small platforms fit, I bought my size and added an insole. The insole makes them fit perfectly. They are soft out of the box but retain their shape well. There wasn't much breaking in needed. I did get one small blister, but it was not horrible like previous break-ins with new Dr. Martens. I walked 11 miles in them the other day and it was fine. I do wish they breathed a bit more, they are a little hot. The creases they get from walking are not sharp or deep, they kind of scrunch and blend together. I think it makes any creasing less noticeable.

I wanted to like these, but these boots do not like me. Instantly mangled my feet with blisters, and even after trying heel pads, bandages, and different insoles nothing seems to help. I can't even wear my other shoes now without being in unbearable pain. I am aware of Doc Martens' "breaking in" process; it's not worth the pain nor time to simply look good.

Love them. Very happy this pair arrived in the og box. The boots are soft leather and very comfortable. A little snug at the wide part of the boot but it should stretch a tad from wearing. Very happy with this purchase.
