One of the biggest issues with Arcteryx trail running sneakers was that the width of their shoes always ran super narrow and prevented a lot of us with B to D width from enjoying them. After multiple complaints, I guess the company finally decided to create something accommodates wider feet. I usually wear size 10.5 with Nike and On; and 42 in Common Projects. I tried these shoes in-store and decided to size down and go with size 10. I think I could even go down to 9.5 for a more snug fit. The shoes are indestructible. I took these on a five day trip to Mexico and they remained pristine after walking around for hours. The sole is super rugged and provided extreme traction in the rain. Highly breathable but withstood rain well. These are unlike any Arcteryx shoes that have been produced. I'd easily prefer these over Salomon's XT6 GTX. Better style, better function, better fit over previous models.

The shoe is very conformable, but not at first. Took me about 3 or 4 days to get it to fit right.

I've owned a half-dozen or more of various gore-tex hiking shoes. These are the first to live up to the promise of "waterproof and breathable". I took them on a week-long backpacking trip where it rained the whole time and we tromped through all sorts of bogs and marshes and they did the trick. I was surprised at how supportive they were, even over rough terrain with a pack. The treads are pretty shallow, but they have held up and are still super-sticky. This is a great shoe.

Got the last Aerios design. It's been through a ton of miles and have been in mud, puddles, lakes, and even have been soaked from ocean waves as I took photos. It's been on all kinds of rock, even sharp ones. It's durable, simply put. As long as water doesn't get above the top, your feet will stay dry. I do wish it had a heel loop so help pull as you put your feet in, as it does get a little tight to put your feet in at times so it can hurt the cuticles if you don't use a shoehorn.

quite nice shoe; looks flattering, feels stable. However a 9 mm drop is a little high for me, these unisex shoes never fit well in the heel, but my main reason for returning these is this one has a hard edge against the inner ankle.

Best pair of shoes I’ve purchased ever. Break in takes a while but have used them daily for 1.5 years now, average of 3 miles per day.

I bough these 10 days ago and took them to the North Carolina mountains this weekend. Hiked about 8 miles on various trails and these felt great all day. Even at the end of the day, I didn't want to take them off! They broken in very quickly and provided great grip on rocks, roots and rough trails. This is my first pair of hiking shoes and my ankles felt strong, supported and taken care of!

I like that it's smart enough to wear somewhere semi-formal, but rugged and waterproof.

I bought these last minute for a trip to Joshua Tree, meaning I left no time to break them inI was quite nervous but was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable I was the whole trip! I was perfectly fine the whole trip without breaking them in, very comfortable, amazing grip, I would recommend these shoes 100%. I have multiple pairs of hiking shoes and these are by far my favorite for a lighter duty pair.

Arc’teryx is an outstanding, well constructed , comfortable lower cut hiking, walking shoe. A nicely rounded toe box allows toes to spread out and not feel constrained. This shoe, in my opinion, rates five stars. Traction on slush and ice surfaces is superb. As someone who has a longer foot, I applaud this company for making larger women’s sizes. Waterproof with vortex makes it wearable in all seasons. Made in Canada, this company makes outstanding products in all arenas.
I'd also recommend:

I bought these to replace my worn out Acrux Gtx shoes and was not disappointed. Out of the box comfort and attention to detail. I use them on hikes with the dogs throughout the spring to late fall season wet dry frost you name it. The fit was true to size. Love them and will buy new ones when they finally wear out in a couple of years.

I bought this shoe and used it on a 5-day hike with quite rocky terrain which was no problem as the sole is quite firm. Excellent grip as well! I carried around 25 kg during the hike, and the shoes helped my feet a lot! Even though they are very rigid and stable, they are extremely lightweight!

I've been putting the Arc'teryx Aerios GTX shoes through their paces for the past few months, and they've proven to be a reliable companion for my active outdoor lifestyle. These shoes are my go-to choice for trail running, day hikes, and light backpacking trips. One of the standout features of the Aerios GTX shoes is their lightweight and agile design. They excel in activities that demand speed and agility, making them particularly well-suited for trail running and fast-paced hikes. The shoes offer a great balance between support and flexibility, allowing me to tackle various terrains with ease. The fit and feel of the shoes are quite impressive. They have a snug yet comfortable fit that hugs my feet without causing any discomfort. The shoes are true to size, and they feel like an extension of my feet during activities. However, it's worth noting that the lower cut means less ankle support compared to traditional hiking boots, which might be a consideration for those who prioritize ankle stability. I've used these shoes in different regions and weather conditions, from dry and dusty trails to damp and muddy paths. The GORE-TEX lining effectively keeps my feet dry during light rain and wet trails, and the breathability prevents my feet from overheating even during warmer weather. Before purchasing, it's important to consider the intended use. While the Aerios GTX shoes are versatile, they might not be the best choice for colder climates or winter conditions due to limited insulation. Additionally, the premium price point might deter budget-conscious buyers, but the quality and performance justify the cost for those who value reliable outdoor gear. As for improvements, I'd appreciate more color options to cater to different preferences. Additionally, while the shoes are fantastic for their intended purpose, individuals looking for more robust ankle support might need to opt for higher-cut footwear. In conclusion, the Arc'teryx Aerios GTX shoes are a lightweight and comfortable choice for active outdoor enthusiasts. Their versatility, agility, and reliable waterproofing make them a solid option for trail runners and hikers alike. Just keep in mind the level of ankle support and consider the price point based on your priorities.

The hiking shoes ticked all the boxes for me! The color and style are original and unique but not outlandish. They are very comfortable and practical being waterproof with a very grippy sole.

As usual, the quality and style of anything Arc'teryx puts out is second to none. There is a reason they are the most respected luxury active outdoor brand - they really know what they're doing. Period. In the mountains up north or running around NYC, I usually have Arc'teryx on.

I've had these shoes for a couple of months now. I like that they are nice and light, and also fairly breathable on hot days. So far the waterproofness has worked, although I've been in Saskatchewan and not in any downpour type of situations yet.

I have worn the shoes now for about a week walking about 5km per day and so far they are great. I have zero fit issues and the shoes feel durable and keep water out. They don't feel out of place if you break into a jog but are built more sturdily than the trail runners I own.
