The last run I got in this pair was the worst. Toes totally trashed and it was only a 9 mile run. I've only got a little over 200 miles in them.

Quite comfy, but the pros are outweighed by the horrific squeaking of the right shoe. Squeaks on all surfaces, even when insole is removed. Trying to run in them saps my sanity. Regret buying.

There is no option to select "feels an entire size and a half too small"... I have two other pairs of Altras, both size 7, and had to reorder this pair twice because even going up a whole size they were still uncomfortably too small.

The shoe runs too small. I have been running for years, wear a 8.5 religiously, my toe hits the tip and the pressure from the top of shoe shoves my toes down, causing blisters on the top of my toes.

I purchased this shoe less than 1 month ago and now the left shoe makes a suction sound when I walk. I saw previous posts but thought it was a one time defect. The shoe also runs small and the tongue is too long. I special ordered this from a running store, so don't feel comfortable returning the shoes. I have a AA narrow foot, so was really excited about a narrow shoe. Been wearing Altras for about 10 years and this is the first shoe I really hate.

I like the look and feel of these shoes but they are definitely an entire size smaller than my other altra runners. No way they are made the same. I am so disappointed because I've worn them to convince myself otherwise and cannot return them at this stage. If you have long feet like mine - you will need a men's size because the size 12 is definitely wrong.

I was hoping this shoe would be a good crossover for winter running to trail running in the spring. But the toe box feels so small in my normal size. I have bought many Altras in size 9.5, but these ones are too narrow. I know these have a "slim fit" but I was hoping that didn't affect the feel of the shoe. It totally did, and I tried to convince myself over 20 miles that it didn't.

I was very excited to wear this shoe. Great tread and lightweight. The fit is different from most Altra's I've worn. My toes felt cramped and I didn't have a comfortable toe flex, I had to size up. Sadly, after my second run, I noticed a squeak that developed in my right shoe. I walked around without the insole but I still couldn't figure out where the squeak was coming from. Reading some of the comments, it seems others might be having the same issue. I'm not able to return them. Not the end of the world, but it's a first impression, first quality opinion.

I like the narrower box which fits my heel and mid-foot better than the original shape. However, l loved the Lone Peak and would prefer to see LP in this width, long enough and with less padding. (Not sure if I would need 13 or 12.5). gonna try a few men's sizes in this to see if I like it. Overall, I'm disappointed in the options that I now have from Altra. I used to wear an 11.5 in the Lone Peak 6. The 12 was too short for me in this shoe. I use the shoe for walking and hiking in multiple terrains.

Loved these, so comfortable! I got them in the fall for trail runs, and today they got a hole after only five trail runs. Seems like a lot of people have the same issue. Lacks durability for price.

I loved this shoe for shoulder season running on back roads and non-technical trails. It is one of the most comfortable running shoes I have ever worn and I was singing its praises to my friends. Unfortunately, the inside of the upper starting splitting on both shoes with less than 100 miles on them, and apparently that is not covered with the warranty. Definitely was expecting more longevity out of them. I'm hoping future models are more durable.

I love these shoes - but I have two issues. The toes have worn through the toes after a couple of months. The back of the shoe separates each time you put it in. The padding within the heel area separates and gets shoved into the shoe. It's literally the most annoying thing I have ever dealt with in a shoe. I would buy the exact same shoes over and over if this wasn't an issue.

Width: great for "normal" feet that aren't narrow. Sizing: decent, but does seem to run a little small. Traction: fabulous. Overall: these sneakers have helped my knee joints recover from injury. I'm not lightweight and have hypermobility issues, so the right shoe is very important. These shoes help a ton with my ankle, knee, lower back aches. But my sanity.... not so much. After wearing them outside for a second time (I was working from home, used them as indoor sneakers) the squeaking began. It is LOUD. It's the right shoe towards the toes where it squeaks. Dusting powder for shoes didn't work. Tightening thr laces didn't work. It's every surface that squeaks. I hate it.

Absolutely love the teal/yellow color scheme and the road to trail concept. However, even though the insole of the size 9.5 (which I wear in all other Altra shoes) matches up to the insole in the Outroad 9.5, the toe box does not have the volume of even the Rivera, which is also a slim fit. The size 10 was a little better, but then the overall shoe was bigger, heavier and a poor fit. Hopefully in future models the toe box will have a little more volume and the material will be a little more flexible. Please do keep the teal/yellow colors!

These shoes were comfortable. I bought the black pair but soon realized that running in Arizona with darker colored shoes was not a good choice. My feet got too hot running 5 miles. I returned the shoes and tried to order the white pair in the same size (hoping to still get the discount I used when I bought the black pair). I was told that although the website shows a size 6 is available the customer service representative told me that they didn't have that color in stock and that the website was slow at updating. More than a week later the website still shows that size 6 is available . Really sad as I was excited to keep my altra streak going, but not sure now based on my experience.

The tongue of the shoe is hard and presses against your ankle when you walk. I tried to tolerate it, but it is extremely uncomfortable. I have read other reviews and I am not the only one who feels this way.

I bought this show as a versatile road/trail running shoe. In every running shoe I own, I wear a size 12. While they do say size a half size up, this shoe felt to me as if it were a size 10 in womens. I could not even walk 100 feet without feeling my toes scrunch up. Because 12 is the highest size they have, I unfortunately will have to go with another shoe. I wish they would have either made them true to size, or fixed the sizing.

I have had these shoes less than 90 days and less than 100 miles on them. Just recently, they let out a pffft sound then a squeak. Literally drives me insane. I looked at bottom of shoes (left only) as I thought maybe I had a hole in them, but cannot find anything. I love the fact that they go from trail to paved trail easily and are very comfortable. I will not be wearing them again as the noise is very annoying and not bearable...

The sides started pulling apart after a few weeks. Very disappointing. After four months I cannot even use them. In the past I have been very happy with Altra.

Unfortunately these shoes make squeaky noise and this is the first time that ever happened to me. I don't have the time trying to figure out how to fix that issue. I will not purchase again.

I like the cushion but it's too squeaky. I never had a problem like this with my other altra sneakers. I'm very disappointed.

The heel on both shoes is wearing away significantly (chunks of fabric have been coming out). The outer top part by the laces is wearing away. A hole is starting to form on the top of the right shoe. I'm disappointed since I've only had them for 6 months and I've really babied them. I've had shoes for years that never fall apart like these have. They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, but that doesn't really matter if they only last 6 months! Unfortunately these were the first Altra shoes I've ever purchased and probably my last after my experience with these. So disappointed, I definitely wouldn't recommend them.

I have owned these 9 months and not only did they immediately squeak every step, but they developed holes in the back heal area. I contacted Altra and they said they can't honor the 1 year warranty because this is "normal wear & tear". I am very disappointed in Altra. I have purchased multiple pairs of shoes the last few years and have never had an issue until these shoes. I'm going to stop supporting Altra since their warranty is obviously non-existent! BUYER BEWARE!
