Really comfy boot for hours on your feet on gravel or concrete floors.

Unfortunately, these boots didn't quite hold up to being used as work boots. Fortunately though, for the amount of time they held up, they were extremely comfortable!

Title phrase + very comfortable. Love the Gore-Tex for hiking in slush and snow. Need to try a long hike with a 25 lb pack to really test.

Do many miles on North Country Trail and enjoy the feel and durability of Solomon's boots

They look good, they're durable, and do the job they were made for except one thing really keeps these from being a complete standout. The insole they come with is as thin as cheap toilet paper and leaves you feeling like you're standing on a concrete slab. I did not enjoy having to purchase separate insoles for shoes I already paid a decent price for.

Better fit for my problem foot, with more space for thicker socks in winter. Orange strip at the back is an acquired taste, I will probably tone it down once the warranty is up. Zero insulation on winter days, thick socks are a must.

I've been wearing these all day for the last 3 weeks, after trading up up a 1/2 size. The foot box is perfect. I find the ankle fit uncomfortable still, as the build is quite stiff there (probably appropriate for a mid cut boot). With an all leather boot, I would just get them soaked and let them mold to my bony ankles sooner.

I bought these boots for my son. He is going on a ski trip and needed some good boots. They ran a little large even with thick wool socks but he says they will be fine so I will post again after he wears them at the end of January. They are very light weight and he says they feel warm for sure.

I haven't gotten to us them very hard yet but so far I'm very happy with them. Once I put in my own inserts they are very comfortable and they run narrow so I had to get the mid with ones. I usually get regular withdrawal but had to go with the mods on these.

I've used this boot and it's previous versions for several years. Overall satisfied specially if you get it at a discounted price. Although the previous versions were a better fit, (due to it's raised back) this one is not too far behind. The size can be tricky depending on where you buy it from. Store vs Website so make sure to check the measurements (Store US 10 vs Website US 9.5). The Gore-Tex works good but makes it a little stiff so could take sometime to break in.

Very high quality and totally waterproof hiking shoe. These seem a little stiffer in the ankle than my previous pair but maybe I just forget how the others started off. Very comfortable

This is my 4th pair of Soloman mids since 2016. Old ones are still in good shape. They are so comfortable and have a nice grip for wet rocks etc on trail. One of my older pairs has lost lotta grip but I have put hundreds of miles on them when walking asphalt walking trail at home. Beat shoes I have ever owned, & I'm 4.6 decades old.

the durability is good but what I don't like is that when you walk and you are wearing socks, the socks rub against the shoe so the sock slips down and you have to pull it up every few minutes.

I took these X ULTRA 4's out of the box, tied them on and immediately went on a hike. Very lightweight, and comfortable. I should have ordered a half size bigger but that's my fault. I don't have a bad thing to say

These boots are good, do not get me wrong. They have essentially no break in period and they are comfortable feeling more like sneakers than a boot. However, thats where it gets a little difficult because you then realize that it feels like a sneaker because it is a lighter and more malleable sole. It bends easier, its got good cushion and feels comfortable but it also lets you feel every rock, stick, stone and piece of mulch you step on during your 8 hour hike up a mountain. Its not a bad thing if you like good trail feel but for me it gets a little tiresome. So know what you're getting and be ready to feel the trail.

Purchased for a trip to Banff. They didn't disappoint, especially the roomy toe box during descends!

So I'm on my second pair of ultra 4s mid gortex, my first pair took me 1,100 miles with only one new pair of super feet insoles. Don't get me wrong they were beat after that but still got me there. My second pair isn't holding up as well but the rocks of PA are vicious. they were great overall kind of pricey and the factory insoles are junk but with no blisters I'll probably buy a third pair to finish my through hike. Ps they're not completely water proof both pairs would get wet at the toe first after walking in wet conditions for a few hours.

Salomon shoes are my go to. Comfortable right out of the box. These are very light and comfortable for all day, daily use. They don't have the support, durability nor bulk of the more hardcore Quest boots, but are ideal for light duty.

Bought this a month ago and I've had the chance to bring this pair of shoes for a few hikes over the summer. Best pair of hiking shoes I've gotten to date. Really great on hikes of varying difficulties. Great traction and sturdiness. The only heads up is that it can get a little bit warm during the summer days but not uncomfortably so.

Solid hiking shoe as advertised. Laces easy to come undone and shoe definitely gets sweaty being gore text. Feels sturdy with good grip.

The shoe provides good grip in technical terrains. I recently wore these to Banff on 8-10 mile hikes and they did a good job. The interior of the shoe can surely be improved and made more comfortable - feels a bit rough at the moment.
