My son received this for his birthday. He loves it, especially the cool play features he said

I got this set to add a connection between my overworld and nether sets, and I really love it! You get a lot of detail in this set, besides the mechanic part. Two minifigures with armor and weapons and two animals, along with decorative items. It took me a second to figure out how the mechanics actually work. You RAISE the portal with the stone blocks. Once you raise it to the top, it stays. The lever on the side is only for LOWERING it. You just gently pull it and the portal will go down.

I really enjoyed building this set with my friend on call it wasn't hard and it was good fun to build. It is my first Minecraft set and I recently ordered the fox lodge looking forward to building it.

Pretty big for its price (atleast in my region compared to other sets) . Bought it especially for the Netherite armor and sword (ore too) since its the only one having a full set , althrough they could've chosen another skin beside the usual Steve . Also , the portal mechanism is pretty weird and it took me a while to realise how it works, but other than that its an awesome set that connects well with others (and to be honest i've grown pretty fond of it)

First of all, I think Steve looks great in his Netherite armor. Next, I like how you can slide the portal up and down. Lastly, I like how the baby hoglins head can move up and down. All in all, I like this set.

It's a great set, but it's kind of hard to build for a 7 year-old on his birthday who's good at LEGO. In some of the instruction pictures it's hard to tell how the pieces line up.

A lot of Minecraft sets have this terrible habit of putting in some crazy play feature that sort of sticks out like a sore thumb. A lot of them I have trouble putting together side by side, especially these more hilly ones. This set however is just perfect. I love that it blends well with other sets, has a nice selection of figures and tools, and has a play feature thats not only hidden away well, but just functions really well. Whoever designed this should be proud of themselves. The only gripe I have is that the gold block should've been another slab taller to coincide with the size of minecraft blocks in lego, maybe it should've been removable, and there shouldve been magma blocks sprawled around each side of the portal like in the game with a chest.

I like that you can get full netherite armour here, but when I play the actual game I like my axe rather than a sword and I can't make an accurate representation of my character in my world cus there are no netherite axes, also add techno blade to a new set please, he should of been added a long time and now it's too late for him to have it, add it already

My son was super excited to get this set for his birthday as he loves Minecraft and the nether portal feature looked so cool! He spent a better part of an afternoon patiently building it. When he finally finished, the nether portal wouldn't work properly. There were a lot of tears of frustration! I tried to fix it but realized I needed to build it myself to figure out what was happening with the mechanism. So then I also spent a good hour or so rebuilding it from scratch. He just turned 8 so I thought maybe he made a small error in building that impacted the final design. Well I finally finished it and It worked for all of 30 seconds. The crank broke off inside and I had to take it apart. Part of the crank seems to push part of the wall structure which pushes it apart. I adjusted it which helped at first but ultimately it broke again. I consider myself to be apretty good LEGO builder and so unless I am completely missing something, I think the mechanism is a bit finicky and breaks easily. All the figures are great though, but unfortunately the set has sat in a pile completely unused because no one has wanted to spend the time trying to rebuild it again since. It's been one of the most anticipated LEGO sets we've had but the most disappointing.

My son has many Minecraft lego sets and brought this with his Christmas money. This set is a very poor standard compared to other Minecraft sets. My son got upset as the leaver would not work so re-built again as thought maybe he had made a mistake. However after I re-built this set is still does nothing! Very poor Lego set that is very flimsy and with a leaver that does nothing. One disappointed little boy!

My son built this and ended up in tears. I helped him by rebuilding it TWICE and each time it fell apart. It's missing key structural supports. Very frustrating. We've never had this happen, and this was a huge disappointment.
