No break-in required. Padding and fit are perfect for me. Color is vibrant and laces stay tied without double knots. Wave Sky 5 had an awkward fit across top of foot. Wave Sky 6 fixed it. Foot does not slide towards toe bed. Extremely happy with this shoe!

I'm a very casual runner. Short distances and low intensity. I wear exclusively Mizuno running shoes and tennis shoes. In running shoes, I always wear a size 10, and these were no exception. (I wear a size 9 street shoe, and a 9.5 Mizuno tennis shoe). I have narrow heels, but average width feet everywhere else and a neutral/normal pronation, and these were a perfect fit. These have the same *super* pillowy cushioning as the Sky Waveknit 3 but in a much more stylish packaging. I've also worn the Wave Rider 25, but the soles are not nearly as cushioned, but are lighter weight. There is a fairly significant toe drop which not everyone will love. The laces do feel a little tight across the top of the foot, but that is easily adjusted. My biggest issue is now I'm having to show restraint in not buying more colors. These also wash really nicely in the washing machine and then left to air dry. Come out looking brand new every time.

Ugh. I’d otherwise give these a 5 for form and function, based on the first review I read, in that the Wave Sky 5 definitely has issues with top-of-foot tightness and a propensity for the foot to slip toward the toe of the shoe (dangerous territory). Upon reading this review, I excitedly purchased the Wave Sky 6 in two groovy color schemes. The verdict? Yes, the aforementioned design issues were addressed/corrected with this shoe. . . however, the footbed in this iteration is way too soft and “”spongy” for a hardcore runner. Felt a bit like I was slogging through a foam pit. Sadly, returning both pairs, still running/adjusting in the Wave Sky 5, and will likely check out other options.

Wanted to love but they were way to snug, maybe because of the stretchy material? I ordered my regular size and I don’t consider my feet to be very wide but these felt too narrow for me, had to return.

I normally wear an 8 but sized up to a nine. They fit perfectly. So comfortable right out of the box. The style looks great on my feet.

I use my Wave Sky 6 for working in a busy orthopedic office and walking our dogs.
I love these shoes!

I absolutely adore Wave Sky; my preferred shoe for training or races. It's lightweight, has a breathable but tough upper, and enough bounce to get me through 5K's to Marathons.

These shoes work the best for me. I have arthritis in my great toe area and these provide pain relief. I can no longer run but play pickle ball and walk.

Love these shoes, however the right one is a little *too* supportive. I have finicky feet - high arches, plantar fasciitis. I can't wear these too long, but if you want comfy, supportive running shoes, these are it. I don't recommend them for dance fitness (zumba, etc.)

The styling is great and I hoped they would fit. My usual size is 8 1/2 W, but they are too tight and also too short. I recommend ordering up at least an half size. Arch support is good and the soles are very comfortable, but I must return them.

I like the look of these shoes, and I am a loyal mizuno wearer for running and HIIT workouts but this style hurts my feet! My arch constantly aches from the moment I put them on. I was so disappointed because I thought they would be a great more supportiveness option than the wave rider. I will likely return to those or the wave inspire.

I always go up a half size for Mizuno . not a problem there. What surprises me is the cheap material every shoe maker is using lately. I don't see the prices going down 70% percent. To me that's all they are worth. Cannot rely on any reviews for people who have never had good sneakers. Feel sorry for them. Guess it's better not to know what they are missing? The cushioning is gone in this shoe. Used to be the best. The inside material is scratchy. Feels horrible. Nothing good about this shoe. so sad.

it has a weird fit like too tight by ankle then pushing in lower down, very unhappy. I have several earlier versions and loce them, so disappointed. Why do they change the style when it's perfect? they should just update colors but keep a formula that works!

mizuno has started making the shoes in an unnatural way. The toe box curves dramatically from the beginning of the pinky toe to the top. I hate this because i used to love Mizuno running shoes. The Wave Sky 6 sole is not cushiony enough for pavement running.
