Did not know this shoe was a slip on. Very bad description

Got this shoe for Christmas. My wife knows how much I like Merrell shoes. As usual, the first time I tried them on they were quite comfy. No break in required and plenty of room in the toe box. Had a couple of nice compliments on how the shoe looked. Great support and traction in wet weather. Merrell shoes are hard to beat.

I have worn them walking on sidewalks and on trails and they are comfortable on both types of surfaces.

Very comfortable shoes to wear anywhere. Great grip while walking or hiking. I have both colors on these shoes. I love them

Just bought these a few weeks ago. I can truthfully say they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I will be wearing these Speed Solos for a long time.

Fantastic shoe I took to Iceland for a week trip. Didn't wear anything else the entire time.

The toe base on the shoe is a bit wide for my foot but it doesn't seem to cause any problems. This shoe is probably great for a wide foot. The shoe is extremely light and comfortable. What stands out is the stability. I had this shoe in hawaii and put it to the test. In salt water, up and down hikes, and all over lava rock. Lava rock can be difficult to walk on and this shoe delivered. I would order this shoe again in a heartbeat. Would like to see a few more colors.

These are amazingly supportive and still flexible shoes. I wear them in the city most of the time and they are great. Perfect for the trails too.

These are slightly wider in the toe box than my Merrel Moab Speed which I actually like as the Moab Speed feel slightly too tight now. So far a good all around trail shoe that is comfortable for normal day use as well.

Nice design, fits awesome, comfortable, sometimes forget I'm wearing them. Laces have enough to thread every hole and not be short for tying. Other shoes have had that issue outside of this brand. This was perfect for me. (Do wish they had this one in black)

Really lightweight, very gippy sole, and comfortable. They've already seen quit a bit of action and still basically look new, my only advice to others is they have a bit of a wide fit.

I think that's because my foot is sliding up in the shoe - I opted to go 1/2 size up as I was right in between sizes. Maybe that was a mistake? Usually I destroy a shoe like this by opening holes in the sides, having the sole peel off, or some other fundamental part falls apart. Here, everything just wore down, mostly evenly, over a lot of miles. The deconstructed design is a bit weird - oh well, it performs. Many, many miles later, the heel is starting to come apart, just as the tread is wearing smooth, just as the laces are frayed. It's a good shoe. Hopefully the next will be as good.

Shoes were very comfortable. Seems very good for all day.

These shoes are absolutely awful. I noted the item runs small so I bought in person to get the correct fit. I have used them one time for light duty. Basically needed a shoe to go to an austere environment so I did not damage my "good" shoes. My feet were in pain after an hour and continued to be sore for two days afterward. Do not recommend and wish I could get my money back.

REI Employee who walks around 10k steps a day. Waiting on 5th Star...waiting for wear factor. So far i'm liking my pair. 98% of the time I wear a mens 10 regular. Based on other op, I ordered up 1/2 size to 10.5. Shoe fits perfect. I wouldn't say it has a wide fit. The toe box is generous, no pinching at all.The sides are just right and not too tight. Insole is comfortable. Typically OEM foot soles compress quickly. I have a set of DR.Scholls for and when they compress too much. Color is Fog which is nice and neutral Based on my experience so far, a second pair will be purchased. I rotate 3 pairs of Oboz Sawtooth II at work for the past year. The Speed Solo will become my non-stocking day footwear as they are not as hardy as the Oboz. A less hike look was want I wanted for travel and casual nights out was what I was looking for. These do the trick !
