For a boot as deep as the Lennox Lace, there needs to be a pullup strap. Putting the shoe on is excessively time-consuming and uncomfortable. I wear a size 7.5 and ordered a size 8 to accommodate for thicker socks during colder weather. Me feet are anatomically very regular, no deviations in width, toe spread, with a slightly higher arch. Additionally my ankles and calves are on the thinner side. I generally need no special accommodations to feel very comfortable in shoes, and yet whoever designed this model managed to make my feet literally hurt from just sitting in a chair wearing these boots. The top of the boot wraps around the ankle and lower calf too tightly even if the shoe laces are completely loose and untied. The cushion around the top of the boot is too bulky and not soft enough. The tongue rubs uncomfortably against regular thickness half ankle length socks when the laces are tied even with ample slack. The laces do not slide smoothly upon loosening or tightening them, but get stuck and need extra (however gentle) tugging in order to properly lace the boot. The boots were briefly tested once on a slick (non-icy) surface, and didn't seem to provide any appreciable grip against sliding. I cannot not comment on quality of waterproofing. Other than looking cute, these boots are an absolute waste of a high price tag. For a brand like SOREL, I am nothing less than appalled. Would not recommend.

Well this never happened to me before, I ordered a7.5 and they were too small…ordered an 8, planning to wear them, put the right one on it was great and the left a size 10, not so great…this is the first time I’ve experienced such a thing so mistakes can be made…the next day I got 2 size 8’s (right and left) and all is well. I only needed to size up a half size, I have narrow feet…my size 7.5 was a bit short touching my toes but the 8 on both feet is perfect, thin socks. Thank you Zappos

I love these boots. The color is beautiful. I’m a size 8 and had to order a size 9 they run a whole size small! I tried the 8 & 8.5 and they were both tight.

I was on a quest for brown leather "work" style boots. I tried on lots of boots and these won! Get a full size bigger, especially if you plan to wear thick socks. You'll want to have some leather lotion on hand to buff out scratches. The boot colors vary slightly, but oh well... that's leather for you. The orig laces are fat and tedious, not to mention not my fav color. I ordered new ones.

These were a little chunkier in person than they looked online, and a bit taller too. The leather is a nice quality and overall they seem like a great boot. The biggest shortcoming is that the laces are very "squishy" instead of hard and smooth, which makes them very difficult to unlace and lace. I ended up returning them in favor or something else, but was tempted to keep and get new laces.

Have never had a pair of Sorels hurt my feet before these. And one of the eyelets busted after the 3rd time wearing them. They’re so cute, but very disappointing. ?

I really wanted these to work out—I’ve been hunting forever for a good pair of waterproof boots that look good and feel good. These are really difficult to get on—unlike other lace-up boots, these don’t have hooks at the top for easy off and on. And there’s no side zipper either or a loop of leather at the back for pulling on. It took 5 minutes to get just one boot on. That was it for me. They’re not that comfortable for anyone with a regular width shoe- these ran narrow.

I love my boots! I believe them to be true to size. I normally wear an 8 and thats what I purchased. The leather is not hard and stiff so when I walk it is like it moves with my ankles. They are very comfortable and there has been no need to "break them in". I bought these to wear while I work on our farm and love that they are water proof. They are wonderful quality and I definitely recommend and will buy them again. Maybe in black next time.

Bought these as work. travel. hiking, boots fit is good now it's break in time.

These fit great (I ordered one half size larger than my usual). They are very comfortable. They are a little hard to get on, but I've got it figured out.
