The top is quite good, not too bulky, but feels reasonably warm. What I don't like is the sole profile - it is nothing like a few different Columbia or other hiking shoe I had before. The heel side of the sole is very high for hiking shoe, with larger heel-to-toe drop than typical, not great for descent at all. The middle of the sole is low, and provides no support at all. The front is OK, maybe a bit stiff. The sole is relatively stiff, except the very soft "spikes" at the bottom - resulting in rather strange feeling of contact with the ground, but I think this aspect might be fine, just takes time to get used to. Width-wise the wide version is perfect for me, but I have just slightly wider than typical feet and sometimes buy regular sizes. If you always need wide versions, the shoe might be not wide enough.

Solid hiking shoe with a neutral fit. Columbia wide styles are often not wide enough but these are actually wide and comfortable

I love these shoes! I did purchase a half size larger to accommodate my wide feet (the reason I have to buy men's shoes vs women's) and they fit great. No real break in time needed. I have worn them in slushy snow and ice on an uneven surfaces and never felt more confident walking across an area. They have great grip and they repel water - I tested this while using a self service dog wash and my feet were the only things that stayed dry and I did not slide across the tile floor for once. I will be eager to see how long they last after being exposed to various elements but definitely will repurchase when the time comes.

My husband likes the fit and the color. The only thing he doesnt like is the orange on the bottom sides. Would have looked better green

These shoes were super easy to break in and are super comfortable. The traction is superb in wet, muddy, or snowy conditions. Keep my feet dry and allows plenty of airflow. Very pleased with this purchase.

These shoes are exactly what I needed this winter. Good grip and water proof for the winter snow and slush. Still super comfortable though (even with my flat feet) AND the low profile makes them super easy to put on and take off for getting out the door quick with the family. That's a nice plus compared with boots that offer similar grip and waterproofing. Really solid product, thanks!
