I purchased these as a group gift for a coworker and they are so pretty in person! She is on her feet all day and absolutely loves them!

I ran 3 miles out of the box and my next run was 21 miles and I was super happy with this model. Previously, I had the Torrent, Torrent 2, Torrent 3 and I ordered the Torrent 4 and they just aren't the same shoe. The Mafate Speed felt great in really rocky terrain. We were also in a little snow and I found they tracked well. These are my new favorite trail show. Goodbye Torrent. Hello Mafate!

I normally don't write reviews but this shoe warrants a review! I'm a relatively new runner, run almost exclusively on trails and 5-7 miles is my daily average. I knew I needed a new shoe but wasn't sure what would be best so I used HOKA's shoe finder and purchased their top pick. I am amazed! This is by far the best running shoe I've had! The fit is perfect, just as described. The performance is awesome! My average pace today was over a minute faster than normal and I ran 5 miles over 6 minutes faster than usual. While time will tell how they perform in the long run, I'm confident they will continue to be an excellent shoe!

Love it. Fits well, great balance of cushion and reactive. Solid traction even in the slick.

Took these running up a dry rocky mountain trail. They did great. Toe protection did its job, no break in needed. Love the color selection available compared to Speedgoat. True to size, I wear a women's size 6.5 normal width and that fit just right.

I have been running trails for the past 15 years, but I upped my mileage to include ultra distances this past year. Then came the dreaded blisters and hot spots. I was fitted for the Mafate, and I couldn't be happier. It has a perfect amount of cushion and tread for mountain terrain. No blisters or hot spots with my last 50K. Best decision ever!

Sleek and vibrant colors. Many compliments. Fits well. I work long hours and it support my feet well during my shift.

Great for outdoor walking

I purchased this shoe for trail running but with the snow up here in Leadville I haven't been able to yet. Have ran on packed snow, ice, slush and some dry roads and i like the feel of the Mafate Speed 4. I felt like I had a great grip for the conditions and was very comfortable. Can't wait to bring on the trail running season and see what this shoe really has to offer.

I was ready to buy a new pair of Hoka sneakers and was eyeing these because I love the colors and had such great success with my first pair. Then my Dr. walked in wearing these ands I knew it was the right choice. I'm not a runner. I walk my dogs 3+ miles a day. In an older gal with knee and sometimes hip issues. An athletic coworker told me about this brand when I asked her thoughts on foot wear. It's a done deal. Hoka for me all the way.

This is my 2nd pair of Mafate Speeds. They offer the extreme comfort Hoka is known for and the BEST all purpose shoes ever. They have great traction and are perfect for hiking but also versatile enough to wear at my daily gym workouts.

I usually choosy when it comes to shoes for work. Comfort level is fire and style wise is amazing. Love the neutral color.

This is my third pair of Mafate's, in all different colors of course! From the first time I've tried them on the trails here in Hawaii, I loved them! Trail running or just hiking, rock scrambling, perfect for all! I recommend these shoes to all my trail running friends!

I definitely will be buying this pair again. I quickly realized the traction on the shoe while running on very loose terrain. I felt safe running downhill at a fast speed which makes the downhill reward that much better!

These are the most comfortable sneakers I've ever owned! Lightweight and soft - great for walking or running. The colors are really great too!

Using these sneakers for everyday wear and trail walking and running. After the first hour or two, they worked their way around my feet and now I feel like I'm walking on air. The most comfortable sneakers I've ever had!

Love it! My 2nd Hoka that I purchased and worth the money. Comfortable to my feet, light weight & classy. For long walking, it seems my feet/legs don't get tired. I recommend this HOKA shoes to anyone.

Good support, balance and traction on dirt trails.

Third time is charm. A bigger size finally sealed the deal. Usually wear 10 women's. Final choice is an 11. No sign of tightness across top of shoe. The initial pulling of fabric looked like a problematic future to me. I want them for the mega grip sole. 70 year old woman in purple shoes is gonna look kind of crazy. Where I live the winters are pretty wet and want no slippery sole shoes. Of course these are cushy and nice. I have a pair or Gortex Transports which I like but they're not quite as cushy. I love the Clifton 9. Wish they'd put a mega grip sole on them. That vibram mega grip sole is a very much wanted asset to any shoe. Happy here.

I LOVE these shoes for trail running!!!! These shoes are very comfortable right out of the box and grippy on all kinds of surfaces. I have a very difficult foot that isn't happy with most shoes, but these worked so well for me. Even though I'm a petite female, I have a wide foot and can easily get neuromas, but these shoes are working extremely well for me. I think that they would still work well for a narrower foot too due to because of the materials and structure of the shoe. Happy running and hiking! :)
