The only way my feet could be happier is if you offered the Speedgoat GTX in wide sizes.

Great and very comfortable sneakers. Bought them primarily for waterproof feature. Unfortunately sneakers lost their waterproofness month after I purchased them

This shoe was well made. Unfortunately, it didn't have enough stability for my feet. Thankfully, Hoka allows you to actually try the shoe in real life. I took several hikes in this shoe and found on the trail they didn't have enough stability for my feet. I really wanted to make this shoe work for me but started having knee and foot pain after my hikes. I had to return them. I will have to wait for one of the more stable hiking shoes to come available.

Somehow, the cut of the top is just a little higher than other models, and rubs miserably on my anklebone.

I love the regular Speedgoat for hiking, but the GTX only comes in a regular width. Hoka, please make the GTX in wide sizes. Wide feet need to stay dry too!

Great fit, love that they are light weight and give great support. Should be terrific in the Olympia National Park where i headed soon.

I'm going on a walking/hiking tour and wanted a hybrid sneaker/hiker as opposed to a heavier hiking shoe as we willl mostly be on city and country trails. I also have a wide foot and lower back issues so comfort and support are deal breakers. These are amazing. The comfort is off the charts - I can hardly feel I'm wearing them - and they provide both solid interior support and superb traction for different terrain. They also have a partial gore tex exterior so a bit of rain should not be an issue. I wish there were more color choices fo rthe GTX model, but all in all I'd wear any color of these because they are like walking on clouds and super light to pack. I'm between an 8-8.5 and took the larger size to accommodate a cushy sock. At first the fit was a tiny bit snug, but after wearing them for one day to start breaking them in the fabric gave a bit and the fit is perfect. Can't wait fo rthe trip because I know my feet will be feeling great!

I've worn Bondi wide mostly for road running but since Bondi doesn't come in gtx this is my runner up when I have races in the rain. Wore these for a half marathon on the road as well as another on trails. I wish this came in wide as well. The toe box in the half size up is too large but I have 3 black nails from my most recent half marathons. I am wearing my correct size (I actually own the 9.0, 9.5 and 10 and wear the 10 to run which is my size in Bondi as well). I own about 28 pairs of hokas and these are in my top 2. (Like them better than challenger because there more Cush and way more traction, better than mafate which I think feels a little flimsy, better than Stinson - omg why is that shoe so heavy- and better than zinal, somehow that's a miss and I can only wear it to the gym for arm day. Love my hokas.

Why do manufacturers change the design of good products! My Goatspeed 4 GTX shoes were great. But a design change for the 5 causes the shoe to rub on my ankle and they were returned. I have worn Hokas for years after a ligament tear in my foot and the my preferred Hoka shoe was the Tor Summit which was discontinued ( unless you buy the Bodega Tor Ultra Lo for $250.00).
Heavy sigh, why can't they just leave well enough alone.

This is my 5th pair of Hokas and I was very excited to get a Hoka with a vibram sole & waterproof. I have used Hokas for backpacking trips and loved them. This shoe is narrower in the toe box than my previous Hokas and after doing a couple of hikes of ~10 miles and hoping they would adjust to my feet, they continue to scrunch my toes on the downhill causing a painful descent. I am very disappointed in the fit of this particular Hoka shoe.

My new Hoka's are as amazing looking as they are comfortable! My feet are riddled with arthritis and surgery may be imminent but my doctor told me to only wear Hoka! I believe that, with these well constructed shoes, I will be able to avoid surgery for many years!

I don't trail run but my town has a lot of gravel and dirt roads on hills and every other shoe I own slips and slides. Love the traction and the support took away my foot pain from plantar fasciitis

I really wanted these to be perfect, but sadly they were not. Very comfortable and well made. I usually wear a 9 in athletic shoes, but these 9’s were a bit long and the 8 1/2 would have been too short. I have a narrow foot but usually can tie my sneakers so they’re secure. These slipped off my heels, even tied tight. For this price I want perfect.

The heel surround is very low and not cushioned like other Hoka's- my heel was slipping around. Otherwise very nice shoe.

These shoes were great but they don't work for me due to where they hit the side of my ankle near the heel. I'm so disappointed because they would be perfect for my use but the side of the shoe comes up a bit too far on my ankle. Due to an old injury, that part of my foot is very sensitive to the pressure from this shoe and I will be returning them. I've bought lots of different Hokas over the past couple of years and this is the first time I've experienced this issue.

The Speedgoat 5 is not as comfortable and durable as the Speedgoat 4. I use the shoe for walking and hiking. I initially bought the Challenger 7 GTX, which I found more comfortable than the Speedgoat, but I needed a water proof shoe. I tried two different pair of Challenger GTX, and neither pair was water proof. So I went back to the Speedgoat 5 GTX. I used it during a vacation in Japan. Shoe was waterproof, but looks rather worn, even though it was not exposed to very rough conditions. I have used Hoka Shoes since 2014, but lately have been disappointed with the quality.

I typically wear the Hoka Speedgoat but switched to the GTX for better weather protection. I expected the ride to be similar, but the GTX is a much stiffer ride. I don't recommend the GTX for anyone with back pain.

I tried Hoka's again as so many people I work with who stand all day, rave about them. This shoe was terribly uncomfortable for me.

The upper is quite flimsy structurally. The shoe inverts my ankle inwards by about 10%. Would not purchase for hiking/trail running.

I am a mail carrier and the treads are super worn after less than 3 weeks. Super disappointing. I have never had treads wear down so fast on any shoe in my 30 year career. And one shoe has started to squeak with every step. Gortex is nice in damp morning grass tho.
