Oh goodness, my feet have been blessed! I have an extra wide foot, made worse by a high instep. Buying shoes is a nightmare. I typically wear an athletic shoe; they tend to be at least slightly clunky, but such is the WW. I admit I hesitated for a few days because this is a velcro shoe. Once I fought off the idea that 'velcro is for kids and old people' I ordered a pair. Yay for me! They are so light and so comfortable on my feet. As a double wide, they are plenty roomy. Not too much, but a nice relief from the typical WW, which is "just wide enough." And I'm 61. Not old in my own mind, but kids think that's ancient so I guess I qualify for that velcro. I'm going to enjoy these shoes on my feet as we move into the warm months. I was concerned because it's a slip-on, and the high instep but let me tell you what else came in my box! A shoe horn! A nice long shoe horn, and wow do I appreciate that! Not only a shoe horn, but also an individually wrapped package of gel inserts. I may never get to use them, given the nature of my feet, but that's a bonus for some of you. There are literally three ways to wear these shoes: no inserts, the original shoe inserts, or the gel inserts. A great option for people who need orthotics, too. This is my first purchase of Anodyne, but I'll keep them on my list of shoes to check regularly. If you have fat feet problems like me, you should definitely try these shoes. I also suggest David Tate, New Balance, and Propet.

I love these shoes. Yes, they run big but the Anodyne website indicates that. I have bunions, high arches, and feet that ache all the time no matter what I try. These are the first pair of shoes in years that I can wear for hours with little to no discomfort. I will be buying more options from this company.

Great shoe for walking. Adjustable band allows for varied sock type. Runs 1/2 size large. My size was loose on the heel so I am returning for 1/2 size smaller.

Excellent, lightweight shoe if you need extra toe box depth and width. Sporty looking, not orthopedic at all. However, my usual 8WW was far too large in this brand. I believe a 7W would suffice.

I really wanted to love these shoes. Unfortunately I couldn't. First I ordered my usual size which were huge, no problem Zappos is so easy to return and reorder. I reordered a whole size down. I think they would be great for people with swollen feet........I have a very wide feet not swollen feet. Although they were perfect at the foot/toe joint they were huge at my ankle and heel. I couldn't tighten them enough to make them fit. I should say the insole you add are great and if you have fat or swollen feet you should try these. For the money I wanted them to fit everywhere.

I just returned this shoe, because I can see that no matter what size I order, the shoe will never fit correctly. There was not much room in the toe box, but the back of the shoe was falling off my feet - I ordered a size smaller than what I normally wear, but still this did not fit correctly. At this price point this is a very badly made shoe, not up to Zappos standards at all - I am very disappointed!

Loved the shoe - and it came with the (very flat) insoles out so my own insoles fit well. However, the heel box is GIANTLY wide and my heel just moved in and out freely. Like wearing a flip flop. Kudos for the cute box with a mirror surface and a shoe horn included!

This hurts my heart. I love these shoes. They come with an extra insole, and are so lightweight.....like walking on a cute little gray cloud. My heel kept slipping out, and they are not engineered to tighten in any way around the heel, the way you can use the top holes on a tennis shoe to lace up and tighten the way they fit on the back of your fit. I'm sorry little clouds, back you go.

The shoe has a very high back and it rubbed me above the heel a bit too high and was not comfortable for me.

I believe most anyone would be pleased with these shoes but I can develop a sore hip joint without proper support for supination (foot rolls outward). One day of running several errands and lots of walking on parking lots made it start to twinge. But that’s just me and I am 76. Not going down without a fight. :)

To large,very nice material and not much arch support.

bought these for my 82 year old mom, they are sturdy, light, comfortable, great support and NOT old lady looking. I did opt for a velcro shoe just to make it easier. Wider foot bed and a higher back than a normal sneaker (sometimes the back digs into ankle)

Very comfortable and sporty looking.

This shoe in an x-tra wide runs too big in the size. I ended up returning it and ordering a 6.5 instead of a 7.

Fit was fine except for heel which was too wide.

This shoe is really made larger than normal. I wear 6.5 and tried that size, then 6, then 5.5 and even went to 5. The 5 was finally good in length but my heel slipped up and down. Love the comfort of the shoe, but could not find a size that would work for me :-(

These didn't fit at all. Huge toe box and therefore no support. Returned them.

Size down they run big. Very supportive shoe and have been great for my orthotics.

I ended up with 1 full size smaller shoe. I have D width and there is ample room in the toe box and the arch support is great!! The sole of this shoe is so comfortable and supporting… I’m ordering more!!!!! So worth the price, especially if on sale!

I half- sized down on my exchanged pair. I did keep the wide width. Length was just a bit long on my first pair

My mother is 91 and can never find shoes that fit or are comfortable. She LOVES these shoes!!!

These had to have both sets of inserts, and though ok, the fit needed me to go down. I don’t like the Velcro band to adjust-seems rigid and not helpful. Look cute, support would have been good. Overall fit to my feet was just off. I’ve learned to just say no if something isn’t feeling good or right. Too bad. I wanted to like these. The color was fab.

It was comfortable but large for me. I think the wide-toe box made it larger than my usual size since my heel kept slipping out. The style, the over the arch velcro strap, was not attractive to me.
