What a find!! I've been searching for hiking shoes, and these did not disappoint! There was NO breaking in needed... just felt wonderful from the get-go! As my grandmother would say, 'You can scrimp and save on all the rest, but to your stomach and feet do your best."

No kidding, listen to the reviews! The North Face nailed it with this "sniker". Immediate comfort and great cushioning. In addition, has terrific grip with a well grounded feel. The rocker sole "rocks"! This shoe is simply awesome, no other words for it. Do not hesitate to purchase!

I was skeptical of a sneaker I'm palace of my hiking boots. My foot felt very sturdy and the sole is much thicker than a typical sneaker. I did one trail club and these were perfect. A lot less heavy then my hiking boots and definitely cooler. I did another trail that had some rock climbing. They held up very wellm I personally needed a little more ankle support from a boot. I'm definitely glad to have these as option especially in summer when my boots make feet so hot.

I had been searching for some new waterproof athletic shoes for everyday wear and am totally pleased with these. I had been searching under waterproof hikers and was having no luck getting a good fit from my usual brands. These were not really advertised as waterproof, but they are!
They fit my long but not wide feet. They are easy to put on and take off. I love the look! One thing is the laces come untied pretty easily, but that's easy to fix.

I bought these to wear to work, but also for hiking this summer. They are lightweight and comfortable as soon as you put them on. I can't wait to hike in them this summer! The colour is beautiful.

Used these for hiking on vacation in National Parks in Utah. Super comfortable! Supportive and proctective without feeling constricted and stiff like I have had in other hiking shoes. I am used to wearing running shoes and these felt like a cross bw running shoes and hiking boots. No rubbing from the extra material on the tongue to waterproof the shoe. Very happy with this purchase!

I had a pair of similar North Face shoes 10 years ago. They wore out. I showed other brands trying to save money. I came back to North Face. This shoe fits me like a glove. I am in my 70s. I love the hug around my ankle, that is what I couldn't find in other brands. Nothing else to say. A perfect shoe!

Run small - size at least half size up. Otherwise, great.

These are amazing! So comfortable with no breaking in needed. Actually waterproof - I wore these on a rocky beach in Alaska and almost completely submerged my feet, and they stayed warm and dry.

I have plantar fasciitis. This sneaker exceeded my expectation. I went to Zion, Bryce, antelope canyon & monument valley, horse shoe bend & it felt like walking in clouds.

The shoes are very comfortable and fitted. I like the designs of the 2 pairs of the shoes I bought from the North Face outlet in Vancouver airport.

Light weight shoes with good cushion so that it feels really comfortable walking. Enough grip to walk around uneven dirt and rocky surface. I bought in fact two so that I can alternate. I walk more than 4 miles per day every single day so I need reliable shoes and they are good looking shoes!

In all the years I've been buying North Face shoes, this is the first time I've had to buy a size 9 instead of an 8-1/2. But glad I did!! These are so light and airy, but supportive, and very comfortable. Perfect for summer hiking. The smaller size I tried on squished my feet, and my heel was bothered by a seam. But when I got the larger size, they mold around my foot perfectly with no irritation anywhere. Good cushioning on bottom, and grippy soles. I have high arches, bunions, and narrow heels. I've always had to add arch support in North Face shoes, but not with these. Love them!!!

Out of the box comfortable shoe - very nice mid-foot cushioning. Slight rub at top right corner of tongue on right foot but different lacing might have alleviated that. The real issue for me is not enough volume in shoes for me to wear my orthotics - very tight overall fit. Sorry to have to return.

Have five colors of this shoe. They fit well on slightly narrower feet and work as an all around shoe. Laces are a bit finicky if you don't want them twisted but once tied they stay that way without a double knot.

Because of my orthopedic foot surgeon's recommendation to find rocker type sole shoes for my hiking I looked at different brands and felt very confident buying from The North Face because of their great quality products. I love them because each step I take feels springy, soft and grippy. These shoes are lightweight, with great arch support, a roomy toe box and perfect traction which makes them all in all extremely comfortable! I have worn these daily for the past month for hiking and will take them backpacking to Isle Royale later this month, and to my Camino de Santiago in Spain.

These hikers are great! Wore them for 3 days of moderate hiking and they were comfortable (no break in period) and grippy. I went with my normal 7.5 size, and they felt just a tiny bit snug, but not enough to size up. Wish the toe box was slightly more roomy, then this would've been 5 stars.

Too narrow in the toe. Also no support in the toe box. It felt more like a sock with an excellent sole. Beautiful looking shoe. I really wanted it to work but I can't reckon $150 for a shoe that doesn't fit well. I also tried the 9.5. Same issues.

Little too tight in the toe for me. I have a wide toe and a narrow heel - as to 30% of women. I am returning the 9.5 and trying the 10 in the house. The 10 is a little too long and a bit big in the heel but I love this shoe! It looks awesome! I hate wearing old lady shoes but it's extremely difficult to find something that looks good and meets all my needs. As mentioned above, I have a wide toe and narrow heel. In addition, I also have plantar fasciaitis so I need decent support. Another issue I found with this shoe is there's not a lot of support in the toe box. It doesn't hug my foot in the toe area - there's no lateral support in the toe box. I'm hoping the stability insert that I've placed in the size 10 will do the trick so I'm testing it out by wearing it in the house to see if it will work for me.

They developed holes on the inside, ball area of the foot after just 5 hikes. This made them not waterproof/resistant anymore and my feet got soaked hiking in Scotland. It seems there is not good design engineering around the area of failure. I am returning them.
Somewhat comfortable while hiking, great traction on wet variable trails.
