I was looking for a pair of flat, black shoes that could be worn in both a work and casual setting and these Sam Edelman shoes fit the bill. The leather is so soft, with a matte black finish. Since the Mary Jane strap does go up a bit further on your foot, you have to undo the buckle to put them on. They won't just slide on like a loafer. No big deal but worth noting. The footbed is made from cushiony foam and feels so nice to walk in. This helps add some comfort since they are flats and don't have much arch support. I like that the toe area is squared, allowing your toes to not get pushed together. The transition area from leather to where the top of your foot shows is also a soft square shape thich compliments the toe shape. I'm truly impressed by the quality of the materials and the comfortable feel while walking. Plus they are just too cute. They came with a little story book sharing their company's sustainability mission.The packaging is made with soy based ink and the box is made from 80% recyclable materials. The box and tissue paper are 100% recyclable. These flats look and feel very high end. These are my first Sam Edelman shoes but they won't be my last.

I wore my Sam Edelman - Michaela Mary Jane flats yesterday for 4 hours in the afternoon and was so surprised to have a new pair of shoes that were so comfortable. I wore them with a pair of gray silk slacks and they looked beautiful and then when I came home and changed and put on a pair of jeans with a gray sweater and they still looked very great. The surprising part was the comfort, and softness of the leather which did not make your mail a feet sore like a lot of new shoes. Really like that you could buckle them to your comfort level. These shoes ran true to size not like other she's I have purchased. Good job!

These are absolutely the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. I have always felt a little unconfident about my feet since they are kind of wide. Once I put on these shoes, my feet look visually skinny and yet they are so comfy. They are true to size, I am size 5.5 and they fit perfectly.

I love these shoes you get it all with them style and comfort. They are so comfy that I have forgotten to take them off when I come in from work! I just love them they are so soft on the inside as well as the outside, I definitely will recommend them to anyone!

These shoes are amazing! They are soft on the outside and are so comfortable. I can dress them up or down and it goes well with everything. There isn't much padding, so I just add a shoe pad inside and it's great! The shoe moves with my feet which is important to me. Everytime I put on the shoes I am excited at how comfortable and high quality they are. My feet are wide, so the toe area is a bit tight, but the shoe will stretch it seems like. I love this brand!

I absolutely adore these shoes. Incredibly comfortable and stylish like many of my other sam edelman shoes. I was gifted these for Christmas. I wear sam edelman loafers and other flats to work almost everyday. I have never had a quality issue before, but sadly the colored leather on the toes of these shoes started peeling off after just 2 wears. I work indoors and do not have a job which lends itself to shoe breakdown this quickly. All my other leather shoes from this designer have held up incredibly well. Sadly, I would not repurchase despite how stylish they are.

Cute and comfy...who could ask for more. I wore these shoes for the first time on a recent trip to New York City. Kind of risky, not knowing how comfortable they would be and knowing I was going to be doing a ton of walking. They were perfect! Wore them all day with no issues and got tons of compliments. Love these shoes.

Love these shoes. Really pretty on and very comfortable. These are the first pair of shoes that I didn't have to "break in". Worth the price!

I purchased these mary jane flats in the modern ivory color and I love them! The leather is soft and flexible which was amazing for my wide feet. They run a little long so I would suggest to size down half a size. I'm usually a size 9 but I could have fit an 8.5 comfortably in these. If you're considering buying these but wavering in your decision, consider this confirmation to buy them!

I love these Maryjane shoes. They are cute, stylish and comfortable. They are leather and are soft. They fit perfectly. Super cute for special occasions. I wouldn't wear them every day. These shoes are well worth the price. Great quality.

Great shoes, point off for its lack of slip resistance. I slipped on stone steps and broke my foot lol. Not necessarily the shoes fault, I just run everywhere. Also if you have an inkling that you should size up just do it. Your toes will be more free. Great for walking and easy break in period. I wear these all around NYC they're great. Also I love this color way it goes with everything, I almost went with the black leather but this can be dressy or casual depending on the styling which I love.
